Hotel seemed to be in a good, lively location. At first it looked to be clean. We stayed for 6 nights. The night before last, as I enter the room and turned on the light, I saw a huge cockroach next to the bed, close to the closet. We were in room 10, ground floor. Didn't sleep all night as I hate them, even though I live in NY I should be accustomed to them, but no I am not and in 15 years of traveling this has been the first time it happened. It was only one cockroach, didn't see anymore on our last night. The night we saw the bug we inspected the whole room and found traps (the one with the glue) behind the night stand and below the bed next to the wall. The next day spoke to the front desk guy who told us he had been working at the hotel for 12 yrs and never seen a bug and the bug must have flown from the open terrace of the courtyard (seriously he said that!). We didn't make a big deal nor did we say that we saw the traps and clearly they have had problems before. We were leaving the next day so we tried to not let it compromise our stay but it kind of ruined the comfort we had. I am sure I will get a response that this hotel never had such a thing and I am making this up. Check the rooms and have exterminators spray regularly especially since seville is hot and there is no proper winter to kill them. Collapse
Pretty but disappointed

As it was our 27th wedding anniversary I booked this hotel on the basis that it was an Expedia VIP hotel and offered a terrace bar. Usually you are given a room upgrade or other benefit. Before arriving I received an email that we would be provided with a bottle of wine. No room upgrade or bottle of wine ever seen. When I mentioned it on the first day I was told it would be sorted out. On the last night I provided feedback as requested via Expedia and they wanted to bring me the wine at 11pm when I was in bed. I refused and was offered the wine (a tiny 200ml bottle) at checkout the next morning. Naturally I couldn't take it as we were flying out and could not take it with us. Also the hotel advertises a roof top terrace/bar. We find out it is closed Sunday to Wednesday, which of course is when I am there. False advertising. We should have been told this when we paid and make our booking months in advance. If I had known this I would have booked elsewhere. Basic room on first floor with no table or chairs outside as with rooms on ground floor. Quite dark. Comfortable double bed. No desk or chair in room but a sofabed. Part of the bathroom (washbasin and mirror/hairdryer) is in the bedroom. Not practical if one person is still in bed as there is no privacy. When people are coming/going you can hear everything as the courtyard makes all sounds echo. The place is clean, very pretty and staff helpful but a huge let down as it was our anniversary and having used VIP hotels in the past expected more. Collapse

Sadly our stay was only one night as we were based in Malaga as we wanted to enjoy a tablao - flamenco show. This accomodation was booked based on TripAdvisor reviews and we didn't think much of the rooms however we were pleasantly surprised. Excellent facilities in the rooms, very clean & comfortable amenities. The little patio outside our rooms was lovely even though we didn't get to use it, it was very pretty. We would definitely recommend staying here. The staff were excellent, he assisted us in parking our van in the underground parking which was a challenge but we did it after many manoeuvres. Sevilla was just beautiful. We will be back! Collapse

We were very pleased with the value of this hotel (~$300 for 4 nights, triple occupancy). Located within a short walk of the fun parts of town. Free wi-fi. Friendly staff. Comfortable beds. Good A/C. Highly recommended.

This extremely well kept and clean hotel was far from standard! The house itself is old and it is built around a large inner yard. All the rooms we saw had access from that inner yard, and at least from our room windows opened towards it, too. Room itself was worth a good four stars and bigger than average: really good bed, efficient air conditioning, modern bathroom, closet, sofa and desk+chair. The hotel was full of lovely details, and the inner yard was beautifully decorated with well-kept plants and flowers. On the roof there was a bar/terrace with a nice view. In front of the hotel there is only a narrow line for cars, the rest of the wide pavement is pedestrian area with bars, coffee shops - even a children's playground. The hotel is located at the far-end of Seville downtown, some 2 kilometers (30 min walk) from the Cathedral and Alcazar. It has a private parking (18 eur/day), but when we tried to access it, there was a car parked along the street that blocked the entrance. Very little any hotel can do... During our round trip in Andalucia, Patio de la Alameda was the most memorable hotel and by far the best value for the money (62 eur/night without breakfast). Collapse
