Just got back from a lovely long weekend in Mallorca for a family wedding. We were upgraded to a one-bedroom apartment, so had a bathroom, sitting room with kitchenette and dining table, twin bedroom and huge terrace. The terrace had two sun loungers, two tables for two and a large parasol overlooking the lovely grounds and with a stunning sea view. Only down-side was lack of air-conditioning, which we knew when booking, but think having to pay to hire a fan is a bit much when it is 30 degrees plus and not much cooler overnight! Also think lack of kettle strange, although filter coffee maker was provided. Despite these annoyances, would recommend. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Collapse

Beautiful location, quiet resort away from the main drag, our villa was spacious and well equipped right by the sea. This afforded lovely views and a nice sea breeze to keep us relatively cool. We were here for 11 days and enjoyed relaxing and hours in the pool or lounging in the sun. The boys played water polo most days organised by the resort and there was table tennis and volleyball as well. The best bit for my wife and I was jumping into the clear Mediterranean and swimming with schools of fish, absolutely wonderful. We ate in the restaurant one night and the food and service were very good. So why has this review got only 3 stars? There was an unfortunate incident where my eldest son's iPhone's glass front was smashed when we got back from swimming after the maid's visit. We reported it, she denied it and the management stood by her without showing the paying guest much respect, which was disappointing and the manner of our dealings with them would not have happened in a well-run UK hospitality destination. I suspect that we were just not expecting such a flashpoint on holiday which took the edge off what was a relaxing and fun break in a lovely resort. If you want a holiday with everything laid on in a well-appointed and clean resort by the sea, Parque Mar is as good a place as any. Collapse

These apartments in my view have literally the best view - there are plentiful sunbeds and lots of green areas around a central pool so we had ours overlooking the sea. The tranquil pool has a similar outlook. For peace and quiet and relaxation it was perfect. Had breakfast on the first morning and was thrilled with the staff who looked after us they went above and beyond, although the breakfast was running low in the buffet area and it was expensive compared to those on the strip in Cala Egos (double in fact) However, ate at night in the restaurant and the food was pretty good and reasonable - again the staff were so cheery and helpful. The apartment was a good size two bedroom infact it was two apartments with two internal doors which was fine. It was dated but the kitchen was sufficiently stocked with crockery, cutlery and glasses. Never got the cooker working but didn't bring it to their attention. A little disappointed however when we saw our friends apartment, also on the ground floor as theirs was bar far a lot more modern and light and airy.(Just the luck of the draw I guess). They were very cleaned regularly. Parquemar location was perfect for supermarkets (Spar literally outside), largest on 10min walk and shops, bars, bus stop and resort train. We much preferred Cala Egos to Cala D'or which was over commercialised. The Marina nearby (approx. 15 min walk) is well worth visiting - the boats are stunning and expensive. On check out we were told we could use the shower in reception until we were collected later in the day, which were modern very clean and large. The staff on reception were helpful and pleasant. Overall a great find! Highly recommended. Collapse

Wow, we absolutely loved this place. We stayed as a family of four with two children aged 11 & 8 and there was so much for them to do - they were never bored. Included in the price was the entertainment of water polo, volleyball, Boccia, darts, table tennis, Aqua gym and kids club for children 4-10. There is also a small children's playground, a games room will a pool table costing 1 Euro, giant chess board and tennis courts for 10 Euros p/h inc rackets/balls. There are three pools a large pool where kids can have their inflatables, small baby pool and a salt water pool in the tranquil zone, there is also a life guard on duty. We had a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom villa overlooking the sea. It was exceptionally clean (4 towel changes and 2 sheet changes in 10 days), spacious and well equipped and benefited from the sea breeze as there is no A./C but fans can be hired. Kettles and toasters can also be hired, we just used a saucepan and the grill. Pool towels can also be hired for 5 Euros each per stay. There is also a Spa on site with the usual array of treatments. The grounds are extensive, beautiful and well maintained. There is plenty of space so that you are not sitting on top of each other and even though it was August it never seemed really busy. There are plenty of sunbeds, no need to get up and put towels out!!! and plenty of shade to escape the sun. All the staff were friendly and helpful, even supplying clean towels after check out so that we could still use the pool and showers. We didn't use the restaurant so can't comment on that but the lunch food from the pool bar was delicious and reasonably priced. The restaurant does offer take away pizzas, call and order from your room and collect from the restaurant, we did this once and would definitely do again on return. There was a small Spar just outside of reception and other shops/restaurants a 5 minute walk away. We preferred the 15 min walk to the marina to the restaurants there and to admire the beautiful boats and yachts. We would love to return next year and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone.
