The Park Central Hotel was built during The Roaring Twenties, once accommodated and entertained some of the most influential figures of the day, from Jackie Gleason and Mae West to Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, even First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt. Today’s guests are invited to escape the busy city life in exchange for the serenity that awaits them at the Park Central Hotel newly renovated and inspired by the iconic Central Park and renowned New York City landmarks.
Thanks to an immense multi-million-dollar renovation, the Park Central New York will welcome guests to its gracious new accommodations and public spaces inspired by Central Park and other iconic New York locations. The design echoes the elegance of a bygone era, but with a fresh, contemporary attitude the re-imagined 2-story lobby, stunning balcony lounge, entirely new Signature Restaurant concept and inventive “grab-and-go” shop are just a sample of the cutting-edge spaces created by award-winning architecture and design firm, Jeffrey Beers International.
The redesign will also unveil Park Central New York’s 761 guest rooms and suites glamorously re-imagined. Handsomely outfitted with dark stained millwork details, tufted fabric headboards, and sharp, geometrically-patterned carpets, each guest room will also feature red-walled bathrooms adorned with white porcelain tiles arranged in a piano-like pattern, a playful homage to nearby Carnegie Hall. Amenities throughout have been meticulously updated to reflect a warm respect for the past, with a bold step toward the future. The thoughtfully conceived design showcases a modern and elegant interior inspired by the hotel’s urban environment.
Today, the Park Central Hotel welcomes business and leisure travellers alike with spacious rooms and suites, hallmark service, plus proximity to all the New York shopping, sight-seeing, dining and world-class entertainment you could ever want. Carnegie Hall? Across the street. Theatre District? Rockefeller Centre? A few short blocks away.

Our trip was primarily to attend a concert at Carnegie Hall. The Park Central was across the street. The location was great! This was one of the only hotels that offered two queen size beds in a room. The room was modern, spacious for New York City, and comfortable. The only down side was spotty television service. We weren't staying in the hotel room to watch TV, however! Collapse

We had a room block for our group during a conference and were so pleased with Park Central. My room was at the end of a hall with no view but that meant it was really quiet. The rooms are larger than you would expect for NYC and the whole hotel had nice furniture and art. Also the bar area downstairs was lively and a nice place to meet with people and have a drink. Would definitely stay here again. And you cannot beat the location. Collapse

We were making a flying visit to see as much of New York as we could with our two daughters (3+7) in 2 days and spent a long time searching for a hotel to meet our needs. After making a shortlist and reading 100s of confusingly conflicting reviews, we settled on Park Central and it was perfect for our stay. We wanted a handy central location, ideally near Central Park. Tick! Park Central is one block from Central Park, enabling me to go for a morning run, adding an exciting (and freeeeezing!) post to my Strava profile and easy walking distance to Broadway, Times Square and other major attractions. It needed to be clean and well maintained. I didn’t mind about it being especially ‘fancy’ but I didn’t want to spend a special two days in an amazing city and come back with my children to a room that was grotty. I was a little concerned before our arrival about a number of reviewers that reported damp rooms, disrepair, slow/bad service, rooms not ready. I think maybe there has just been a major refurb recently if older reviews are to be believed or I don’t know which hotel they were reviewing at all! We found Park Central to be very well maintained and spotlessly clean. The whole hotel - lobby, lounge area as well as our room and bathroom - were classy and elegant, far more so than you’d get for the price in London and very spacious too. We were greeted by the most friendly, cheerful bellman/Porter/valet Parker who took all of our bags and greeted us in and out of the building every time we came and went. We were hours too early for our room so intended to leave our bags and head out to explore. However, reception staff quickly checked us in and we were shown straight up to our beautiful room in minutes. Quick turn around an we were dressed for the weather and out on our adventure. We chose a dual aspect room with views over the front corner of the hotel, towards the park and it was beautiful. We had two double beds, and armchair and footstool, desk and chair, clothing storage and a good sized bathroom with a bath and shower. There was good free WiFi, a pad and pencil and some lovely (local?) aromatherapy toiletries in the bathroom. Other than that, nothing else included in the room - no drinks making facilities and no free TV as far as we could make out. But for our visit, these things didn’t matter. The Park Market in the lobby was very well stocked with quite a good choice of breakfast items - fruit salad pots, yoghurt, pastries, cereals, juice, hot drinks and packed lunch items - crisps/chips, sandwiches... All a little pricy but everything we had was nice. We asked about bringing takeout food to our room one evening and they said it was fine and even offered to find and order what we wanted. (We stepped out ourself and found a great pizza place a few yards away on the same side.) All in All, for a very busy few days with young children, Park Central was a great location, a standard of style to make it feel really special, clean and comfortable to collapse after a long day and well looked after by professional and extremely friendly staff. Would thoroughly recommend it to couples and families. The ONLY thing I would’ve added to make it perfect was to be able to have a coffee in bed, made in our room. Collapse

Park Central I stayed at the hotel for a short 3 day City trip with a friend. The location is perfect, 2 blocks away from Central Park and 10 blocks from time Square. The room was very spacious for a New York city hotel. It was clean, equipped with modern furniture and fixtures. I would have liked a mini fridge in the room. The only complaint that I had was the size and numbers of the elevators. We had two for our block and they were very small. Often we had to use the stairs because the elevator was already full. With a hotel of at least 15 storeys that is not enough to accommodate all the guests. Check in and check out procedure went relatively smooth. Overall for the price I paid it was definitely worth it. Arrived here for a business trip for 3 nights. No Valet person to take my car, not enough staff to check in guests. I was skeptical leaving my car unattended, walked in only to wait another 20 minutes to get checked in. Asked the front desk person if there was a valet person and told me to go and check at guest services..uhm? okay.. I tried to call the front desk and no one answers..so far..for the price they charge in a great location you would think they have a little more professional service. Collapse
