We liked being in the Opera area. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk to the Opera House. The room was comfortable and the amenities were typical of Marriott. The bed and pillows provided a good night sleep. The a/c does not get very cool so we were glad to be able to crack the windows at night. Wish they would have opened more. The staff was very friendly which was appreciated. My recharger cord died the day before we left and the concierge was kind enought to charge my tablet for me. We didn't eat at the hotel. The 18€ for breakfast was more than we wanted to spend. We walked to a boulangerie for a croissant and stopped into McDonalds for a cappuccino. We don't usually frequent fast food in Eupoe but the cappuccino was really excellent. I would do it again. We took the Roissy bus to the CDG airport. The bus stop is near the Opera House and the cost is only 11.50 (11.20?) euros per person. It doesn't make any other stops and it runs every 15 minutes. You purchase the tickets at the machine located at the bus stop. Collapse

The woman who checked me in at the desk was terrific. I asked for a quiet room, and she gave me an inner room, she upgraded me to club level due to my status without me asking. (The club is nothing to write home about). The concierge was terrific and arranged some out of the ordinary things for me. The room was okay. The thermostat didn't really work and it was cold, but I get a lot of that in France for some reason. The rate was good, and the bed was okay too. Nothing exceptional, nothing terrible. Good night's sleep, no bugs. That gets you an average rating in Dimmy's world. I'll stay there again. Collapse

This hotel is in a great location, but is very "tired". It looks like it hasn't been updated for over 20 years. The elevator doors rub when they open/close making a disturbing screeching that does not inspire confidence and generally indicates the state of the facility. Breakfast is ok, but the Business Lounge is lacking any substantial food. Service generally ok, although they missed a room clean and muffed the airport pick-up. They did agree to pay for it, to their credit. For the price, this is not a fair value - glad we used points! I joined my wife for the weekend after her business was concluded Collapse

I stayed at the Opera Ambassador for 10 days for a retirement trip. Paris had been the #1 item on my bucket list so this was a special trip for me. Overall I was happy with my selection for the stay. I chose this hotel for location and the fact it had an executive lounge. Being a platinum member, this was important to me. Upon arrival we were checked in at the front desk by Charlotte Roulet. She was warm and friendly. Her excellent English helped calm my anxiety about not learning more French before the trip. Our room wasn't ready but she gave us a key to wait in the executive lounge. There we were greeted by Samuel who ended up being another of our favorites that week. He made us comfortable and pointed out the views of Paris landmarks. Within about 30 minutes Charlotte arrived with our room keys and our bags had already been delivered to our room. The room was spacious, especially by European standards. Later that day, a lovely bottle of wine and chocolates were delivered. Great way to begin a vacation! We chose to eat in the main dining room for breakfast each morning. There was a wide variety of food but it was the same everyday. After breakfast we usually checked in with the concierge, Eva, to get directions, tour tickets or restaurant recommendations for the day. After a long day of touring we enjoyed happy hour back in the executive lounge. I found that you needed to arrive close to 5:30 or the food was gone. It would be replenished eventually but maybe not the same items as the beginning. Samuel did an excellent job and was extremely professional. However on several occasions there were so many people there that it seemed another person would have been helpful. The night usually ended in the lobby bar with Thomas ready with our favorite wine and vodka. Overall, our stay was great. The staff is this hotel's biggest asset. They were professional and knowledgeable. Collapse

Nice location, helpful staff, clean & comfortable. Only problem we had was room temp - we could not cool it down so it was uncomfortably hot in the room. Other than that we will probably stay here on our next trip.
