This is a great hotel in a great location. It's a standard Marriott and we received an upgraded room with our Platinum status. Our room had a king size bed, a nice desk, two chairs for sitting, a separate entrance room with a coat rack between the bedroom and bathroom and a nice sized bathroom. As Platinum members we received two "gifts" - and we chose a half bottle of wine and mixed nuts (turned out to be a bowl of peanuts). The service was excellent. We had gotten a spill on the bed and wanted to have clean sheets so we simply left a tip for the cleaning staff and they were kind enough to change the sheets twice. As Platinum members we had access to the concierge lounge on the 8th floor (top level) which offered snacks for two hours and wine and liquor for four hours. The drinks included white and red wine, vodka, rum, gin and a few other selections. The food in the evenings included hot food options and veggies and dip as well as bread, coffee and tea. Nice lounge with a view of the Eiffel Tower in the distance. Also as Platinum members we had free breakfast. There is breakfast in the concierge lounge but we went downstairs into the restaurant each day which had a wide selection. The concierge lounge had many of the same options but a little less selection. There were a few Asian noodle soup options, cold cuts and cheeses, fruit options, many bread and pastry options, yougart, sausage and bacon, eggs, potatoes, and a selection of juices. There are coffee machines where you make your own coffee / cappuccino / lattes. We really enjoyed the breakfast and had no complaints. The location of the hotel is great and within a block or two of several Metro stations. The staff speak very good English so we didn't even have to try to speak French. My husband and I travel quite a bit for work and we are very frequent visitors to Marriott hotels around the world. We found this to be a great option and really had no reason not to rate as 5 stars. I mentioned in my opening this is a "standard Marriott" because you come to expect a certain quality from the regular Marriott hotels (as opposed to Courtyard / Residence Inn / etc). This hotel exceeds those thresholds and is great for spending time in Paris. Very easy to travel from this hotel to all of the major landmarks around the city. I would come back to this hotel next time in Paris. Collapse

I am a long time holder of a marriott card holder and supporter. We arrived early on a Sunday morning and luckily there was a room available for us already. The check,in was great. Friendly warm and helpful staff. We took a room with access to the executive lounge. This loung is not great. It is not nearly as well laid out as other lounges we have been in. The quality and variety of the breakfast was disappointing. The room is very large and very comfortable. Great comfortable beds and and pillows. We have a tiny balcony and we can open the door for some fresh air.,this was very nice. The bathroom was problematic for us. The shower is over the bath tub. The shower had very little pressure and changed from hot to cold on its own. The main problem is that the bath was very deep and getting in and out without handle bars is not easy for us older people. I was petrified of falling. I wonderful if architects/ designers ever think of us older folks? We aren't so agile and are very scared of falling. Be that as it may, I would say we had a great visit to this hotel. Collapse
Not the Marriott level

I would like to start from “pluses” because there is only one: “+” location. The hotel location is indeed very convenient. Then we go with “minuses”… “-“ I am golden in Marriott and booked this hotel with saved points. I already knew that when you book with points food might be not included. But when I was checking in I learnt from a lady on the reception that as a golden client I won’t be charged for breakfast and can have it both downstairs or in the Lounge. So it was a very big surprise to see an 80 euros bill at the end: it was a charge for breakfast – 40 euros per day. I am not even saying that the sober 3-star breakfast doesn’t coast this money of course. The worst thing about it that I had a strong feeling that not correct information was provided in purpose. I literally felt cheated. And this is something I would never expect from a Marriott hotel. -the hotel itself is pretty old and needs a bit of renovation. The Lounge reminds an abandoned attic… -one morning we woke up because somebody turned on the light in the room. Then we heard a click – somebody closed it. We still don’t know what it was: was it a cleaning lady who entered our room without knocking because she thought it was empty? At 8am? Nothing was stolen but we felt a bit of unsafe and paranoid after that…it wasn’t a good start for the day. - Just small things which describe the service here: the room was booked for two but there was only one bottle of water and one shampooing set instead of two. The next day they didn’t refill the missing items neither. As a golden client I was proposed to choose a newspaper. It was promised to be delivered to our room but I we didn’t see it from then. Conclusion: despite raising prices the service in Paris remains poor over the years which is sad. Collapse

I'll start with the fact that the rooms were much larger than I was expected. Major plus! The hotel is very clean and the staff was very nice. The location is great, only about a minute walk to the nearest station! The only reason I gave this a 4/5 instead of 5/5 was that the temperature in the room never seemed to "cool down". We visited in November so obviously this wasn't an issue as the heat worked great but there was one night in particular in which it was "too warm". Again it was only one night. I would stay here again and would recommend anyone visiting Paris to stay here. Collapse
