My spouse and I spent our 9th anniversary weekend at the Pan Pacific Vancouver from Feb 18-20, 2017. From the moment we checked-in, everything was fantastic. Emily at the front desk was outgoing, friendly, and enthusiastic. Our appointed room was nearly finished being cleaned, so she offered us two drink vouchers at the Coal Harbour Bar. (FYI that the Moscow Mules are excellent). We were given a beautiful panoramic Harbourview room on the 17th floor. The view could not be beat! The service at the hotel is excellent. Will return again and again. Thanks for helping to make this weekend special for us! Collapse

It's my first time at the pan pacific. Its a great hotel lots of amenities, however you would expect a hotel of this stature would give you a complimentary boytle of water in your room, which it didn't. I was disspointed thatat the end of my night when we visited the bar lounge we were tuned away because last call was at 1am. Well it was 1250 am when we arrived , so you would think that they would want to squeeze in some last minute business. Parking is well over priced. So note to self for next time leave the car at home. Collapse

Our first stay at this location, my first thoughts during the evening of our wedding anniversary stay was, "this is my new favourite hotel:-)" the view was amazing, the room was comfortable, although the wood furniture a bit dated. Living not too far of a drive away from the city, we stay over often in Vancouver and this was a special night. After check-in my husband called down to inquire about a late check-in. He was told they don't give late check-outs until the morning?? Even though the point of the late check out was to sleep in, my husband woke up and made the request so at least I could sleep in, we were given 1 hour extra, until noon. At least this was the plan... Housekeeping came and knocked on the door twice before regular check-out time! Obviously there is no communication between staff to ensure the comfort of the guests. Note to future guests the hot tub was also always full, during the slow season, so don't expect to get in exactly when you want, if at all. We were lucky we could see it was full from our room. So we were not the unlucky guests who found it full once getting ready to go in and making there way down to it. Upon check out I let front desk staff know how disappointed we were about being woken by housekeeping after our request for late check out. The response I received after a unrestful morning is what will likely keep me from returning. Her response was that I had received such a good deal on the room, better than even staff rate. Yes, I found a good rate on line, but ...1. Hotels put out their deals in order to get people to come when they would otherwise have empty rooms, to show guests what they have so they will return, not to give them less than normal or expected service. ....2. It is none of my business what her staff rate is, nor do I care what her benefits/perks are -they should be reflected in her wage in comparison with the other hotels. ...3. If she really wanted she could have booked the same way I did for the same rate or a good rate at one of the other comparable hotels with better service. ...4. The deal I received gave me Amex gift cards along with my booking (the gift cards mine to do with as I pleased) I chose to put them towards my regular price room, this is how I received a good rate the hotel still got the Amex money, plus the balance which I paid. While I was checking out, people checking in next to me were given a late check out for the next day! I also mentioned to her that before leaving our room we noticed the hot tub was foaming- overflowing with bubbles so she could let appropriate staff know it needed attention to chemicals or foam away added. Her response was "we clean it once a week". Given how busy it was once a week may not be enough... but regardless a foaming hot tub needs attention. The responses I received to my concerns will likely keep me from going back as I know I will get better service at other hotels. Too bad.. all she had to was apologize and ensure she would bring it up with staff/supervisors. I was just letting her know so they could be addressed - communication an obvious issue, but her response was as if my concerns were not valid because I booked at a good rate. I guess it is only a four star hotel if you pay rack rate. Collapse

I have so many fabulous things to say about our stay. First was my reservation experience with Ray. I booked back in October and I don't think I have ever had such a pleasant experience- he selected the best rooms for our two families traveling together. Our room was amazing. We were in 1715, two double beds with extra space overlooking the harbor. I recommend it highly for families. Our check in experiences was very welcoming. The heated, outdoor saltwater pool was perfect. The breakfast was delicious with the right balance of foods making all happy. Finally, the bellmen were the most pleasant two men. Downright cheerful about our luggage, even though we kept on adding in pieces to be stored. Thank you! I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to our return. Collapse
