Booked for 2 nights as we travelled up to Benidorm to meet up with family flying out for the Spanish Motorbike championships. Because the annual fiesta was on we had to book further out than normal due to the number of hotels that were full. However, the Palm Beach was certainly value for money with a nice room overlooking Benidorm which was very comfortable, but there are not enough lifts to service the floors when folk are booking in or out in numbers. The food in the restaurant was superb with a huge amount of choice at each meal. If you like walking then the hotel is at the top of a rather large hill which is healthy.!! Collapse

Arrived at 1am to be given two single beds with two pillows and two towels for a pre paid triple room. We paid and booked a triple room and was insulted and shouted at by night porter who stormed out of hotel when I would not pay for a extra room. He stated I will get him sacked!! This took 90 minutes whilst two old aged pensioners were waiting upstairs. Next morning Gm very sorry and gave us a late check out and would contact me with explanation of staff disciplinary to my email address. I work in hotels and this was the worst most upsetting experience Collapse
Benidorm a "party paradise" for the young and the young at heart

Visited Palm Beach hotel in early November 2017 and it was lovely - big reception with "Wow factor". Good sized room and bathroom with maid service every day. Lovely restaurant and the food was always lovely and fresh - excellent staff. The indoor pool and gym very good. The outdoor pool area always seemed to be in the shade as it was shaded by the neighbouring high rise hotels during this season. Entertainment was okay, but the daytime activities didn't seem to materialise. The beach and town only 15 min leisurely walk away, although there was a good free regular shuttle into the town and beach front. Lovely beach and very lively nightlife. Popular at weekend with hen and stag parties, but equally enjoyable for the young at heart - pensioners whizzing along on tandem mobility scooters! - what fun. Collapse

Stayed two nights in room 924. booked via coach tour. 4 Nov 2017 - on arriving in the room the TV was faced down on the dressing table ? Why. I struggled and manage to re mount it on the wall. - the telephone didn’t work.technicians subsequently found the wall socket wasn’t wired.never fixed whilst there. -the basin taps were incorrectly installed. Hot and cold feeds reversed. Dangerous. -Shower head squirted water everywhere. -estimated there were about 300 rooms equally divided between two blocks on 10 floors serviced with centrally located three lifts. Each lift has a max of 4 persons. You do the sums and see how long the wait is during meal times . - room keys lost their data so needed to go up and down lift to resolve.Tried first calling reception from corridoor but unable to get through. Hotel only has one incoming line so busy all the time. Accused of keeping room key next to mobile phone which I could possibly except but to delete my partners room key data at the same time that kept hers in back pocket and doesn’t have a phone well, come on !! -Hotel does provide transportation down the hill to the main beach road. When the hotel is full then be prepared to queue and queue . So be warned or get a cab. The food in the restaurant is OK but nothing special. No cook/chef to prepare freshly cooked eggs. Good indoor pool. So 4star ??? Collapse

We returned from a weeks stay at this hotel last week and it defiantly had its strengths and weaknesses. One of the main disappointments that we faced was the fact that we found the food disappointing. You tend to get the same food each night (pasta, chips, pork) which was very repetitive, especially as we stayed as all inclusive meaning that we wanted to stay in as much as possible in order to get our moneys worth out of it. We also found that lunch was also disappointing, just a selection of hotdogs, burgers, chicken nuggets and chips, most of which was cold. We found that we were leaving the dinner hall still hungry most nights, not ideal considering that none of us are really fussy eaters, not what we expected for a 4* hotel. We were also disappointed to see that when we went to order drinks at the bar we were limited to which cocktails we could order (we were even told at one point that we couldnt order any at all!)! The other main disappointment we faced was that the entertainment on the night time was very Spanish based. There seemed to be a lot of locals who use the bar as entertainment on a night time are a lot of the music and activities were catered towards them, and we were even told that on the Wednesday night the movie quiz that was advertised wouldn't be going ahead because the Spanish wouldn't like to get involved, this left us and a few other families disappointed because we stayed in especially for it that night. On the other hand of the entertainment we really enjoyed and liked how they seemed to get everyone involved in some of the dances, including kids. It also seems that the entertainment team understood why we were getting frustrated with the music as they would play requests for us at regular intervals which we all appreciated and even did a shout out for my mam on her birthday at midnight! There were some good points to the hotel. One of the main positives were some of the staff. When we reported a fault in our room it was sorted straight away something that we really appreciated as it proved that they really did want to try and make the experience as good as possible for us. On check in they also moved our rooms so that we could be closer together because they didn't realise that we booked our rooms in the same booking. We thought that was a nice touch as we didn't really ask for it. The rooms were kept spotless throughout the time that we stayed there. One of the bar staff, Eugene, was one of the nicest people who we met on this trip. Really friendly and chatty and making sure that everyone was okay and making us laugh. He made our nights listening to the same music more bearable and always smiled and waved when he saw us walk in the room. We personally didn't find that the hill to the beach was too bad, but could maybe see why others might. There is a free bus for the hotel which is good, but it finishes at 6:45pm so I would leave at about half past just to make sure you arent scrambling to get into one of the last ones. As part of the all inclusive package you get free tickets to four parks including Mundamar, Aqualandia and Terra Mittica, Although I've read recently that this package isn't going to be an option for next year, it saved us a lot of money and meant that we were able to enjoy good days out without breaking the bank. This was especially great as it was my friends first holiday abroad, allowing her to experience many different things for the first time. Overall there were many positives to this hotel, and I probably would stay again, however I would save money and go self catering, as I feel as if the food let the place down. Collapse
