Location is brilliant, the rooms are basic but clean, just needs modernising and breakfast a little better but can't complain for the price of the place. Defiantly warm and welcoming. Would visit again.

I very much enjoyed my 5-night stay at the Mont Clare Hotel. The service was thoughtful and welcoming. When I checked into the room, I was surprised to find that housekeeping hadn't quite finished, as there were towels left on the bathroom floor, however, a call to Reception remedied that quickly. In fact, the woman I spoke to (whose name I did not get) offered another room. I did not see the need for that, but as I later discovered, the towel rack had been disconnected and no longer delivered heat due to changes being made in the Hotel, so I should have taken her up on her offer. It was cold in that bathroom! It was certainly not enough to register a complaint about the room, however, as I otherwise appreciated the size and amenities of my room. The location of the O'Callaghan Mont Clare Hotel is perfect for visiting so many of the places I wished to visit, either on foot or a short ride. I visited the National Museum of Ireland, Archaeology, Trinity College, to experience the Book of Kells exhibit, the Chester Beatty Library, Dublinia, and more. I was most pleased with the service in the breakfast room; all of the staff each morning was cheerful and seemed truly pleased that I was a guest. I thought the breakfast fare was a good value since it was possible to order from the menu as well as have items from the buffet. The food was tasty and well-presented. I will happily remember my stay in Dublin and the O'Callaghan Mont Clare Hotel primarily due to the friendly and helpful staff and attractive room. If I am fortunate enough to travel again to Dublin, I will make it a point to stay once again at this Hotel. Collapse

My husband visited the O'Callaghan Mont Clare hotel a couple of weeks ago to see a rugby match at the Aviva stadium . In terms of location for the stadium it was super, pretty much a straight walk. Staff were helpful both in reception and Oscars bar restaurant. Room was a bit tired, nothing to complain about but just needs a freshen up and the bathroom new fittings. It was clean though and more than sufficient for a nights stay. Oscars bar restaurant provides good food although I would skip a dessert ( not nice). Overall a pleasant stay but nothing to write home about! Collapse
