I normally don’t write reviews but for family of 4 with children I wanted to share my thoughts on this hotel to potential family goers to this hotel. It was our first family holiday to France with my husband and two children one of them 3 months old infant. The hotel itself is very big situated within remote outskirts of Paris. Not much to do unless you go into central Paris. Good transport connection to travel towards Paris. The room requires modernisation and small for a family of 4. The shower was broken (although for a family) a bath is more important (this was not offered). The housekeeping did not clean everyday although we have complained multiple times. The biggest letdown was the reception not answering calls from the hotel rooms. However, when I called from my own mobile phone they would answer! In most urgent cases I would have to physically go downstairs to report issues. I had to raise this as a safety concern to management which was a major disappointment. From the onset of our stay we were told the wrong breakfast timings during weekdays vs weekend. The breakfast buffet was limited and very expensive per person...similarly same for hotel dinner. Your best option is to get food locally from the supermarket or dine at local restaurants. Overall it’s not a 4* Hotel and I will not be recommending Novotel Paris Est to friends or family Collapse

Overall excellent stay at a very nice and large Novotel ,Rooms were spacious and had all mod cons. Only issue was the check in which took ages, too many guests not enough staff, I stood for 25 minutes ,must be a quicker method than this. Otherwise excellent .The breakout area is particularly comfy with large couches and low lighting. I liked the ironing rooms on each floor . Collapse

When we arrived at the hotel the lady on reception was incredibly rude to the point where it was perceived that her allowing us to check in for the hotel that we had already paid for would be doing us a massive favour. They only had us down for 1 night although had prepaid for 2. Also they initially had us down for a twin room rather than the double room booked however on the plus side they managed to 'upgrade' us to the double . The hotel is situated in an arguably run down area on the outskirts of Paris with not many restaurants locally situated but the metro to the centre is within a 5-10 min walk which is handy. When we arrived back in the hotel in the evening from the New Year's Eve party at Champs Élysées the bar was closed 1am so we had to get a soggy sandwich and some very questionable tasting beer from the reception desk. When we came for breakfast in the morning we were told initially that we could not eat as we did not have tokens. I explained that I was not given any tokens when I prepaid for breakfast at check in but was then given a look of disbelief and so had to go back to reception where they also explained that I had not paid for breakfast... I then had to ask them to print off an itemised statement and after some to and froing they realised that it was their error. We were then blanked by the lady on the breakfast service. Once we finally got breakfast it was nothing to write home about, the food was very mediocre and my wife was pretty annoyed by the grey hard boiled egg that she received and the lack of direction from staff when asking for "du lait" All in all pretty poor service, I travel frequently all over Europe with my job and have stayed in a wide variety of different priced and rated hotels including other Novotel hotels but I can honestly say that this was comparatively poor, especially for a "4 star". I've stayed in friendlier 0 star bed and breakfast s!! I hope the management look at improving the hotel before they lose prospective patrons Collapse
Conveniently located close to a metro station.

I stayed at the Novotel Paris Est with my wife and daughter, my parents, my brother, my sister-in-law and their two kids. I had a good price through a travel agent that included buffet breakfast. Our three rooms were very spacious and very well appointed. The hotel has a big reception, it has lots of amenities for kids and the front desk staff was very nice and helpful. The breakfast buffet was very good and tasty. The hotel is two blocks away from a metro station, what was very convenient to visit both Paris and Disneyland. Our visit was to celebrate my 45th birthday, and we had a great time there without having to break the bank. Collapse
