We stayed in a Suite which had bedroom, bunk beds and sofa bed. First full day at the hotel, Housekeeping did not tend to our room. We had to call to Front desk to ask for towels. We received towels at 8 pm that night. Finally we could take a shower after spending the day at the waterpark. We had an early night as we planned a long day at Disney the next day. At 10:30 pm, while we were asleep, we heard a knock on the door it was a person delivering more towels. The following day, after Disney, we found our room was finally tended to. Late that night our son showed us that the carpet leading to his room was wet. We called Front desk the following morning about that and that we found the bathtub backed-up with water. They said they would send someone. We also noticed that Housekeeping again did not tend to our room. We called several times more to advise about Housekeeping and now that the carpet in the bunk bed room was completely drenched, and that the water in the bath tub was still backed-up. It appeared that feces had backed up somehow. Not sure if it was related to the water in the bedroom, but it was obviously an issue. We could not take a shower our last day there and our son had to move all his belongings off the floor to ensure that they would not get ruined by the water. The day we checked out we spoke with the Front Desk and advised them that we spoke several times with the front desk and no one came to assist us. The rooms looked great, but our experience with the water and lack of cleaning the room appropriately and at the right times of the day, really put a damper on our vacation. I have to admit the waterpark was a great attraction and our son had fun, but unfortunately, I must rate this hotel poorly. Very disappointing for Holiday Inn hotel. Collapse

So took another trip to Orlando area with my three year old princess, who btw, always pick's this resort. When we got there we met Charles ("A") who was very articulate and accommodating at the front desk. I loved how he interacted with my princess, its like they knew each other her entire life. Thank you Charles! After check in, we met "Mo" our bell boy. We followed Mo to rm 435. He was extremely courteous and like Charles, engaged my daughter who took a liking to him. I had so much stuff. My little one had even more lol.. I asked Mo to start taking the things to the room and told him I would meet him up there. Fifteen minutes later we got to the room to meet him. And WOW!! Not only did Mo put our things in the right spots, he also took the time to arrange my little one's dolls on the couch in such an awesome manner. You would have thought they dolls were real kids. Mo, I thank you for the professionalism and personal touch and rest assured I noticed. These are things people cannot be taught. You rock! I believe on Saturday or Sunday we ate at the Lakeside Cafe. It was SO busy that morning. I noticed how the staff handled the craziness-- with total preservation and class. Hats off to the staff. When we sat down, my little one (who is a very picky eater) was charmed by Elia, Habiba and Dasilia. Ladies, you were amazing, I cannot thank you enough. Side note on the Lakeside Cafe--> This cafe seriously has it all. Phenomenal food! Not sure why anybody would eat offsite. Not worth eating anywhere else. Also want to give a shout out to the Chef (i forgot his name) who worked that Saturday or Sunday night. Not only was he personable with the guests, he was personable with me and my little one. Again, you can't teach that level of kindness. (He literally would walk around to each table to talk to the guests! Rock on Chef).. I hope to see him and the staff at Lakeside again. The morning of our check out it was nice to see Victoria again. She's a class act and beyond accommodating. And of course a big shout out to Tommy (or Tomey) our bell boy at check out. He was amazing with my princess. They talked forever lol.. Great guy and very trustworthy. We even forgot something in the room and he dropped what he was doing and ran to get it without me even asking. Thanks so much! Last but not least--> I have to take a moment to give the greatest compliment to Mohamed Kahramane, the night manager. Mohamed you are such an amazing human being and manager. I hope one day you are rewarded by corporate for the hard work and class you exhibit not only with my family, but with the guests and your staff. I love coming to this resort and meeting up with you. My daughter loves you as well, and those cookies you sent her on Saturday evening made her night. She was like "Daddy I really like Mo, he is the best, he even gave us whip cream daddy.." Thank, thank you thank you. From what I could tell from talking to other staff members, they clearly love working for you as well. You truly are in a class of your own. :) In closing, I have to also say one thing about the staff overall-- clearly these folks love where they work. I was very observant during check in, dining, etc., and these folks are amazing with their guests. That alone warrants a 5 Star across the board. I hope folks take into consideration my review as I was having a really tough time reading some of the other reviews that were, in my opinion, erroneous. Maybe some had a bad time and took it out on the resort, or they just aren't "people" person's, but it sure as heck in my opinion wasn't because of the staff. They are always available 24 hours a day no matter what others say. I love this place and will continue visiting for a very long time, especially if the staff remains the same. Thanks everyone, and we'll see you in a few weeks! Respects, Bob "O." Collapse

I really wanted to like this place like my kids did, but the first thing I noticed when I walked through the halls to go to the room was how mediocre it looked for a place that said it recently went through a multi million dollar renovation. The rooms are really tiny and for the most part were clean, but as soon as I walked into the bathroom I was hit with the stench of urine. I looked at the floor and observed how yellow the grout was around the toilet area and even after it was cleaned it still smelled gross. Getting another room was out of the question because we were told everything was booked because it was a holiday weekend. We decided to get air freshener for the bathroom and attempt to ignore the smell of urine (yuck). The pool didn't open until 11 so we decided to go around 12 (big mistake)...It was extremely crowded with nowhere to sit. Thank goodness for a nice couple that decided to leave and give us their table. I figure if you want an umbrella table or cabana it's best you wait at the gate before it opens otherwise you're sol. There was enough to do to keep the kids occupied which was good, but I can't really get over that nasty smelling bathroom and the closet sized rooms. Collapse

Spent 3 weeks here in May, it was okay, we got bored after first few days, room service food was not nice and the staff at the pizzeria and subs area were so rude or wanted to speak to their friends and not serve anyone - takes about 30mins to get your meal prepared not a fast food service :-/ , one time the cleaners "cleaned" the room and took the toilet roll and towels out of room and didn't replace them! lol. The kids were disappointed there was no slime (as advertised in photos on their site and booking page), the pool was fun but we avoided it at the weekends as it looked like you couldnt move in there as it was so packed!. On a plus note the rooms where nice size for families - however avoid 2bds if you want to prepare your own food, strangely the 2bds have no cooking and 1bds do! (+ 3bds have cooking) Collapse

This is our second time visiting this hotel. We stayed previously when it was the Nick Jr Resort and said we would likely never stay again. At the that time we found the rooms dated and dirty. Holiday Inn has done a wonderful job updating this hotel. The room was tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable. We spent a week in Orlando over our spring break and only left the hotel to get groceries and to do a little shopping. Our girls, ages 10 & 8 were kept busy with the pool side activities and my husband and I were relaxed from a week sitting poolside. We will definitely return in the future. Collapse
