I absolutely recommend this hotel. This is the 2nd time we have stayed here. We have a 4YO. The big waterslide structure is great for kids is most ages. The slow sloping pool is amazing for the younger babies/toddlers but there is a deep end for older kids and adults. There is also a great splash pad area for the babies. They do a lot of great activities during the day and the 4d movies and laser challenge keeps everyone entertained! We have been in 2 different types of rooms with each stay and he rooms are absolutely wonderful. They are modern and spacious and just have a cozy feeling to them. Lastly, the staff here is amazing. Everyone here is extremely friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this resort to anyone considering staying in the Orlando area! Collapse

We spent 4 days at the Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Suites - Waterpark after evacuating from our home in Sanibel during Hurricane Irma and after our original hotel lost power and water. We were thrilled to find a hotel with power. However, I would never put up with the check-in system at this hotel. At the time we made reservations at this hotel, we were asked when we would arrive. On our way to the hotel, we were called to find out when we were going to arrive, which was in another 15 minutes. Upon arrival at 4:15 in the afternoon, we were told that our room would be ready in 30-45 minutes. 90 minutes later, we found out that our room would not be ready for another hour. Another 2 hours later, we stood in line for at least 45 minutes to find out that our room was still not ready. By this time it was 9:45 pm, and we asked if there was any other room that we could get. Suddenly, a room was located, 4.5 hours after our arrival. Our room was clean, but very poorly equipped. The kitchen had minimal dishes, no dish soap, no dish towels, no forks, only one small sauce pan and very dirty drawers. We asked for a kitchen set with the front desk the next day and were assured that we would get a full set for the kitchen, which never occurred. The common areas were really run down. We understand that we were at the hotel after a major storm, however, the problems that we experienced and witnessed seemed like the norm for this hotel. Several days after the storm, we again saw people in the evening waiting hours for their rooms. Some elevators didn't work and had graffiti. The pools and water park were closed. We completed a questionnaire for the hotel after we checked out. The response from the hotel was a standard response that the hotel was short staffed. But, there was no indication that it would improve their check-in system, clean their walkways and elevators or ensure the kitchenettes were appropriately stocked. We would never consider this hotel as a vacation destination. Collapse

Stayed at the hotel due to hurricane IRMA with my husband. My husband told me about the friendliness of the staff beforehand and I did really experience how nice they were. The hotel was very busy but you could see everyone was removing debris while responding to what other need. The employees had families too and for them to have to worry about their own homes and families while helping others is a big plus! Great job! Collapse

We evacuated from Miami due to Hurricane Irma. I called the hotel directly to see if they could accommodate us since most hotels did not have availability. The person I spoke to told me they had a room that would accommodate our party for $136 and for $10 more they would include breakfast for all. I was so appreciative and was looking forward to a good night's sleep after days of hurricane preparation. When we arrived at midnight I was told that the price was $199 and it only included 2 breakfast coupons. This is the ultimate bait and switch. The manager was hiding in the back and would not even come out to talk to me. I was charged a resort fee and other fees that were never disclosed to me. The resort fee should have been waived since The waterpark and other activities were closed on Sunday because they too were preparing for the hurricane. At this point I had no choice but to stay given I was with three very tired children. They took advantage of a bad situation. My room wasn't even set up. A garbage bag containing toiletries, towels and sheets was set on the floor. Needless to say I will NEVER stay here again and I will write a negative review in every forum I can find. I only wish I knew the name of the coward manager that wouldn't come out to talk to me. This is not representative of every Holiday Inn. We left the next day to the Holiday Inn Express in Ft. Pearce. They deserve 10 stars. The owner of the hotel as well as all the employees went above and beyond to make sure their guest were comfortable. The Holiday Inn Waterpark is a disgrace! Collapse

I would give this hotel 0 stars. We chose this hotel for the amenities. This hotel was renovated about a year ago but very poorly. It had a leaky kitchen sink. Bathtub was also leaking. There was mildew in the kitchen and the bathroom. I asked to be moved after the first night, but the next room was not much better. I killed a roach or two. The cleaning service is awful. We ran out of soap and toilet paper. I asked the cleaning lady if she had bleach to clean, she said she only had disinfectant.... We went to the Hideaway Lounge, which is also a restaurant, and we were asked to leave because we had our son. This is suppose to be a kid-friendly hotel! Needless to say, we will NEVER stay at this hotel. Collapse
