We wanted a sun holiday that had more to offer than just a pool or a beach, so we decided to search for a city hotel in Madrid that had a pool so that we could enjoy a combination of a pool with the added extra of a city vibe. We were delighted with our choice of NH ventas. The first positive was the short 15 minute hop from the airport! We had booked the junior suite with terrace and unlike my usual experience of hotel website photos, this suite looked better in reality! It is room 702 and well worth the extra. We did a pre pay deal that was excellent value for a week. The hotel has quite a cool clean style that I really like, especially in hot weather. They have a lovely and very well managed pool area that we spent a lot of time at! We didn't take the breakfast there but we had lunch which was great value and very good quality. Reception staff were very kind and helpful as was the lovely lady who was sorting out our room daily. I would highly recommend this hotel which is just a few stops on the metro from the city centre but in a lovely quiet area. Can't wait to return! Collapse

My wife and I along with our two adult children (21 & 26) stayed at the NH Madrid Ventis during a short 3 night city break. Super convenient location Ventis (Next to Madrids Plaza Del Torro / bull fighting ring) metro station which is a 10 min walk, this hotel was just perfect for our needs and is no more then 7 metro stops (€2) to the city centre, and there is a nice little tapas bar straight across the street if you fancy staying local. The 24/7 Reception is located on the ground floor and the very helpful English speaking staff checked us in, in no time at all. We were issued with a key card each (room 729 -double facing the pool & 712 - twin facing the street) which operated the elevator as well as our room doors. The rooms (in fact the whole hotel) were super clean and very well presented. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bathrooms in both rooms were fantastic (the hair dryer they provide is a proper designer model and not your usual little thing) and the water was hot, powerful and plentiful for the duration of our stay. Both rooms were cleaned to a very high standard every day we were there, and the free wi-fi was super strong and stable, in the room, all over the public hotel areas and even at the pool area. The whole place was very tastefully decorated in a modern yet clinical way, even the free gym (weights / runner / bike / cross trainer) and the whole operation was very well oiled indeed. The hotel temperature was just perfect (not too hot and not too cold) for the duration of our stay, and there was free air con in both rooms. We are experienced travelers and I can put my hand on my heart and say that the buffet breakfast was one of the best we have experienced, yes we have been to bigger in places like UAE and the USA, but this also had the personal touch which for us means a lot. This personal touch extended to the super clean and well maintained pool area (Life guard on duty / free towels / sun beds provided) where each afternoon the hotel management themselves brought out free popcorn / iced drinks and sweets for everybody at the pool. It's the little things that make hotels stand out and this place has got it just right. Highly recommended hotel. Collapse

Stayed here for a weekend break with a friend. The rooms are modern, bright and very clean. We got a great deal on hotels.com and were so impressed with the standard of the hotel! We stayed here mainly as there was a pool, which was fab, pretty quiet, and the staff bring round mini slush puppies during the day (for free)! We thought that was a lovely touch. The staff are really good and helped us a lot with directions and tips for things to see in Madrid, they also have free snacks in the reception sometimes! The metro is a short walk and takes you into central Madrid for about 1.60 euros each way, and only takes about 5mins. We would definitely stay here again if visiting Madrid. Collapse

What a lovely hotel. You can have a true summer holiday, with swimming pool and great service right outside the city center. We stayed for 4 nights in July 2017, two adults and two kids (6 and 9 years old). We booked this hotel because of the pool, and we did not regret it. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We had asked for connected rooms, which was great for a family with kids (make sure you ask for it in your booking!). Hotel was clean and modern. Free towels and loungers by the pool. The staff even brought out sorbet a few times a day. The pool was a bit deep for our 6 year old, so take that into consideration if you have a small kid that has not learned to swim yet. The breakfast was great! Lots of different juices, and the possibility to order your eggs or omelette the way you wanted it (however, it took us 2 days to understand that we had this option during breakfast). This hotel is 5-10 minutes walk from the bull ring, and metro station Ventas, by metro you get to the city centre in 15 minutes. You can find a few restaurants close to the metro station (Jarritus was nice). Collapse

My sister and I had an amazing stay at NH ventas - Conchita the manager and her staff were so helpful. We had breakfast one day which was delicious. The room and bathroom were impecibcally clean. We were given a complimentary upgrade to a room with a Nespresso machine - really nice touch! The pool area is beautiful. A waiter comes around twice a day with fresh lemon sorbet for everyone - such a treat! It's very easy to get into the city by bus or metro. It takes about 20-30 mins depending where you're going. About 15 mins in a taxi (€12 approx). There are lots of restaurants and bars around the hotel all within walking distance. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation to anyone looking for a relaxing poolside getaway close to the city! Collapse
