Arriving at the Lotte New York Palace we knew we had selected the "perfect" hotel for our holiday visit. Check-in was easy and because we arrived early, they quickly stored our luggage so we could get on with our "must dos". When we returned, Clara Law saw that we moved smoothly to our room with her special touches to show us a warm welcome ... think sparkley! Our room looked out over St. Patrick's Cathedral ... talk about a room with a view ... SPECTACULAR! Although we were out and about in NYC, we did use Room Service for our morning java and I must say it arrived quickly, piping hot, and best of all, it was delicious. For Sunday we hadn't made brunch reservations and Julieta Swanson, one of the Concierges, made us reservations at the perfect "happening" spot. People have commented on our gorgeous hotel pictures and asked what hotel is that? We happily replied, the Lotte New York Palace. We look forward to our next visit to NYC and wouldn't stay anywhere else. Bravo! Collapse

I Booked this hotel after lots of searching, it was for a very special trip to New York to celebrate my mothers 70th, my daughters 18th and my 40th birthdays. I had contacted the hotel direct in April to request a cathedral view room and let them know it was a special visit, when we arrived we could not check into our room as it was not ready, finally when we did it was not the room that we had requested the room was not made up for 3 people only for 2. Where were no facilities to make a hot/cold drink, the following day they said they could move us to a different room and for us to pack our suitcases and leave them in our room and they will be moved while we were out this did not happen and did not until 20.30pm ! The new room was still only made up for 2 people, we were then informed that we could have a kettle and some tea bags for our room and that we should have requested this ! However when we checked in we were not given any information about this so how would we have known? When guest services brought us a kettle they only brought us two tea bags and no milk when we asked for a couple more and some milk we were told that he was very busy and we would have to wait. During our 4 day stay here we never had the evening "turn down service " that is stated, I did speak to Ann-Marie on checking out and raised all of the issues we had during our stay she did apologise however our visit was now over to the towers lotte New York palace and we left feeling disappointed and let down by the staff/hotel. This was our first stay at the Lotte New York Palace. We stayed in the Towers and definitely want to stay there during our next trip to NYC. I have already written a very positive review of the hotel and mentioned the staff in general and how lovely and responsive each of them was to any question we had, but I should have also specifically mentioned Carolyn Innocenzi, the Chef Concierge. I didn't have the pleasure of meeting her face-to-face during our stay, but I spoke with her over the phone prior to our trip and we also communicated via email. Specifically, Carolyn helped make our Thanksgiving celebration special by providing a list of restaurants to consider for our Thanksgiving lunch, based upon the information I provided during a previous phone conversation about what type of celebration we were looking for. After sending the email with the suggestions, she called me to make sure that I had received it and to discuss the restaurants further. Through her advice, we made our choice and she not only booked our reservation for us before our trip, she reconfirmed our reservation while we were in NYC and left us a message alerting us that all was still set up as we had previously discussed. We never would have found out about that restaurant on our own and really appreciate having that nice memory to include with the others from our Thanksgiving week in NYC. Thank you, Carolyn! Collapse

We stayed on the 53 floor for four nights over Christmas 2015. The view from the room, looking onto the Cathedral, was incredible - watching the sea of Christmas shoppers flowing around the streets in the afternoon was amazing. Watching the sky and skyline change over the course of the day was absolutely beautiful. The decor was luxurious and spotless. The location, near the Rockefeller Centre & quite near Central Park, was excellent. It was a fantastic place to stay. We didn't eat in the hotel. Collapse
