First the staff and location of this hotel are amazing. Steps from shopping and the WTC memorial, along with Wall Street and Battery Park, make this an ideal location. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful everytime that I had a question. The only reason I can't give this a five-star rating is the quality of the beds. The sheets seemed too small for the double bed and kept coming off at night. The mattress has seen better days as well. The room was comfortable and the cost was cheap for a downtown Manhattan hotel. Easy subway rides north make getting to Times Square and Broadway shows really easy. Collapse

My girlfriend and I stayed at this Marriott this past weekend and just didn’t really enjoy it. First thing I noticed when we walked into the room that there was space from the bottom of our hotel door to the floor. It was seriously about two or three inches. They had some kind of a convention in the hotel that weekend and I could seriously hear other people’s conversations outside in the hallway and heard ppl getting off the elevator every time they got off of it. It wasn’t horrible but it was def not amazing hearing it through out the day and even at night thru the late hours. Second the employees there are real nice but some got on my nerves real fast. I was outside smoking and didn’t see their 4 inch tall sign saying you had to smoke twenty feet away from the property. So of course I’m outside smoking and didn’t hear the guy say “you have to smoke away from the building” and then he screams that I have to smoke away from the building. Now picture this there was another hotel quest next to me ( a very attractive girl) and after he told me to smoke away from the building he let her sit there and continue to smoke.... hmmm fair right?! Now there is the restaurant that is in the hotel. For one there is no room service and if you want food you have to go get it yourself. So I ended up getting a burger and she got a chicken sandwich. When I got the food and went up stairs my girlfriend notices that the bread had some kind of garlic onion in it and she is allergic to onions she ended up getting sick not much but no where in that menu does it say anything about that being in the bread and we really couldn’t do anything about it that night because the restaurant closed at 11 so I just kept the receipt. Went down to talk to the manger and he was very nice about it and told us we could get something to make up for it. So later that day I took him up for his word and she got some bacon cheese fries. We went back up to the room To eat and they gave her some cold fries and a little bit of cheese that couldn’t prob fit on a ritz Cracker. We were so fed Up with the restaurant that we didn’t even bother to go back down. The best part About the hotel is prob the location. It’s great for a family vacation I would say but I honestly doubt we will be staying in this Marriott again. Collapse

I stayed here with relatives when they wanted to visit NYC. We picked this because it was central to most sites in downtown Manthattan. The 9/11 Memorial and WTC were just a 10-15 minute walk away, depending on how fast you walk. This hotel location was super convenient. As for the hotel itself, the check-in at around 3 pm can take a while. There were 4 parties ahead of us. They will have mobile check-in soon. It was not available when we visited. Once it is available, I highly recommend you download the Marriott app and use this. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Room service was attentive and excellent. We left a tip for room service in the room, which I recommend given the excellent value. The gym was large and spacious with modern and clean equipment. Highly recommended. Collapse

Downtown is not where we usually stay, but we had meaning to try a different location and the rate was too good to pass up (especially with an additional AAA discount) The room does come with a $15 resort fee, but it also came with a $15 credit, which we used in the bar. The staff were excellent (Maria & Terrell at the front desk went out of their way) the room came with a free walking tour (1 pass per night) and the location actually exceeded expectations - close to 9/11 memorial, Wall Street & Battery Park. It was also a short walk to Tribeca. Collapse

Arrived at the hotel after a very stressful drive from Washington DC. After a protracted check-in I was ignored by the the concierge until I sent my son to find a trolley for the bags, at which point he made a big deal of pointing out that "it was his job to do this". Pros Handy to the 9/11 memorial and other downtown sites such as Wall Street, Liberty Island ferries, Brooklyn Bridge, Battery Park and several PATH stations. Cons No free internet in room ($14.95 per day is bit steep) Small beds (seem smaller than a normal double). The room was cramped and rather dated. Travelled December '16 / Jan '17 but tripadvisor won't let me enter that far back. Collapse
