Being a family of 4, we booked a room with 2 king size beds. Having arrived at 1 am in the morning, we were told by the receptionist that eventhough we booked and paid for this room, no such room was available. In stead we were getting a room with 1 double and a sofabed and they would see the next morning if "our" room was available. Too tired to argue, we went up to our room... to find to our horror a room with 1 made up bed and a sofa . After a heated call to reception, we were informed someone would be coming up immediately to convert the sofa into a bed i.e. make it with sheets, duvet, pillows etc. Obviously the concept of " immediately" means something different to the Hilton than to its guests as 30 minutes passed without sight of anybody. By that stage , our kids are asleep on our bed. Another call to reception tells us that someone is on his way. Fifteen minutes later, that guy must have lost his way in this immense hotel, as he still has not arrived at our room. At that stage, we decide to take matters in our own hands, venture out into the hallway, find a storage room which is open and help ourselves to sheets and pillows, unfortunately no blankets or duvets , so we can make up the sofa ourselves. The famous person never made it to our room. When we complained the next morning (again), we were told " it is standard for Hilton" to have a room made up for 2 people. When we questioned this policy given we booked it for 4, we were given a coffee voucher. The hotel has an ideal location, but that is where the "service" stopped. At no point during our stay, was the room ever made up properly, the kids had to climb over a chair and sofa pillows scattered on the floor, in order to get into the "bed"; every day we had to ask for 4 towels... As far as their slogan " let us know if something is wrong" is concerned, you might as well not bother as nothing happens anyway. Collapse
Not worth the over-priced rate.

We reserved a room for 7 nights for a convention + vacation. There were not enough bathrooms to accommodate the 1,500 people at the convention. A total of 8 stalls per gender for the entire floor! The hotel room was small - especially the bathroom. No amenities in the room - no coffee maker, refrigerator, etc. We had an issue with being bitten at night in bed. Staff didn't seem too concerned about it and was rather slow and clumsy in resolving the problem (all we asked of them was to confirm that the sheets had been changed). Good things to say: not many, but the shower had good water pressure and plenty of hot water, the fitness center was nice, and the location was great. But there are plenty of nice hotels with that same great location. Worst of all was the HHonors sales people that were staked out in the lobby. It felt like we were walking through a used-car lot every time we went through the lobby. They were constantly hitting us up wanting us to attend a sales seminar for the HHonors time-share-like program. One time I explained that we were not having a good stay and planned not to stay at a Hilton again, and she told me then that I would really appreciate the upgraded service of their program. Really?! I have to pay more than the already inflated rate to insure that I don't have bugs in my bed?! In an effort to avoid these pushy people, we actually planned when we would leave and through which door every time we entered or exited the hotel. Collapse

I stayed 4 nights as part of a conference. The staff were very helpful, I arrived late at night and tired after 27 hours flying and even though I had forgotton my hhonors password I was given free wifi. The sheets and bed were really comfortable. No tea or coffee making facilties in the room but i was able to get a kettle sent up so could make myself a cup tea, this was done graciously and extra slippers added. The shower was excellent, right up there with best hotel showers i have used in the past. The toiletries are good quality too. the hotel was hosting the conference so my staying in house made life nice and simple. i can recommend this for others who have conferences in the hotel. Collapse

We originally booked a twin room but when we arrived the hotel was exceptionally busy due to it being a holiday weekend. The receptionist asked us if we would mind sharing a double room with queen bed. It made no difference to us but she offered us free American buffet breakfast throughout our stay and unlimited Wi-Fi. This was great we saved a fair bit of money with breakfast being thrown in and it was lovely, plenty of choice. I thought it was strange its the first time in the States I have been charged to store may bags on the day of departure, I thought $4 per bag was a bit steep. That is my only bad point about this hotel. It was well situated for all the must see sights and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Wouldn't hesitate to book there again. Collapse
