Hotel Neptun offers excellent rooms, amenities and for some, excellent views. It is situated in the area of Babin Kuk which is only a few miles away from the Dubrovnik Old Town. At an additional cost, the hotel offers a range of excursions such as trips to Mostar, Kotor and tours of the nearby Elaphiti Islands. There are several adequately sized pools for guests within the five Importanne Resort Hotels to share. The stand out criticism that we have for Hotel Neptun is that the food was somewhat below par. We stayed in Dubrovnik for a week and our dining experience in the hotel restaurant was the most expensive, and the least impressive. Our room to fit four, was just about large enough and a pleasure to stay in. The air conditioning was functional and our view was particularly pleasant as we could see the pools, the sea, and some of the nearby islands. A short walk away is Copacabana Beach where you have the opportunity to hire a jet ski, pedalo or kayak. The number six bus to the Dubrovnik Old Town is extremely frequent and the stop is a minutes walk away. I recommend a stay in Hotel Neptun but advise not include dinner in your package or dine in the hotel at all. Collapse

location: about 1.5 miles out from the old town (get there by bus number 6. 15 kona or buy at the hotel desk 12 kona) or cab 70 kona (ask for north gate--south gate will double the cost) modern spacious lobby with great views of the water small european elevators good airconditioning some rooms have great ocean views and many with small balconies with chairs and table beach towels available (you get plastic cards with your room cards you use to get towels) ask at the desk where to get them. access along several beaches, as the hotels are sort of cooperative. A number of restaurants as well are right there (3 as I recall not counting the bar) and more if you walk along the walkway by the beach. there are numerous spots with lounge chairs where you can plop your towel and pick a spot to take a dip. The ones nearest the hotel are easier to negotiate, others require careful walking on slippery rocks to get into the water (aqua shoes helpful here). There is jet skiing available but very pricey ($195/hr) but you can jet all the way down to old Dubrovnik in them. Breakfast is included and is extensive--from made to order eggs/omelets to coffee, juices, fresh meats, cheeses, yogurt, cereal, pastries. overall if you don't mind the minor inconvenience of travelling into the old town, you have a great resort area to relax, bathe, and eat away from the crowds and touristy stuff in old town. ALMOST perfection if only for the rain shower head!

Just returned from a 5 night stay at the Neptun the first week of August. We drove down from Split and upon arrival were not sure if we were at the correct property since the outside is nothing fancy and not the most welcoming facade... but once you walk inside the lobby and see the windows and Adriatic in front of you, that first impression changes quickly! We booked a sea view room with balcony the room was very modern with free wifi and mini bar. Almost perfect if not for the rain shower head - just not enough water pressure to fully enjoy - so the handheld shower head had to do. A minor negative! The location of the property itself is part of about 5 hotels that share common grounds and restaurants. Free parking was available and the valet handled our rental upon arrival. The old city is accessible by the 6 bus - stops right outside the hotel. You can buy tickets at the front desk. Some days they do run out so plan ahead. Or else you can just purchase on the bus itself. We did enjoy the breakfast every am. You cannot beat the location and view right on the Adriatic - perfect way to start your day. Selection was the usual breakfast food - the made to order omelet station outside was a nice touch. At times, it felt that not enough staff were on call to keep up with refreshing the food but this was busy season. The staff were always smiling and friendly. We did enjoy the adults only roof top pool at the Royal Blue and did dine at Zoe and La Castile. No complaints about either meal. You can also walk the promenade about 15 minutes to additional restaurants at night. The beauty of this property is the location right on the Sea coupled with the ability to easily visit the old city of Dubrovnik. Would not hesitate to highly recommend to anyone! Collapse

We went as a family of four. We had two bay view rooms which were well appointed, spacious and offered great views. The overall complex has a great choice of pools and sea swimming. Everything ran well, staff were friendly and did things without a fuss, and - very importantly considering we visited at a time of heatwave - everything was nicely air conditioned. The breakfast offered a great choice. The cafe was a bit limited and pricy for what it offered though. However, what with easy access to old Dubrovnik I would recommend this hotel. Collapse

Me and my husband stayed here for a week in May and had a lovely stay. Room was clean, bed comfy and enough room. Balcony was good too although we had a side sea view at the back of the hotel so we mainly looked out over the car park and road which was a bit disappointing however we knew we wouldn't be at the front. Staff were all friendly, really helpful being able to buy bus tickets from reception. The bus stop is a few mins walk from the hotel and goes straight to the old city. It gets really busy so I'm glad our stop is the first! Theres also a lovely coastal walk to lapad with nice restaurants to eat at. Breakfast was fab, fresh and lots of options, we especially liked being able to have fresh omelette to order from the guy outside. Nice touch. The only critism we have is the staff at restaurant Zoe, they were quite rude and unhelpful, the only place in dubrovnik with rude staff, everyone else we came across were lovely. In all a fab stay and we would definitely return. Collapse
