I just returned from spending 9 nights in the Hotel Napoleon (2 separate stays; one seven nights, the other 2 nights). I had stayed in this hotel back in 2009 and always looked forward to returning. Upon arriving check in was very quick (less than 5 minutes) which was great after the overnight flight. The staff was very friendly and helpful. During my stay I was given rooms 409 and 309 which were basically identical twins of each other. It had three good sized closets to store/hang clothes up. The room might seem small upon first look but really was ok. Hey I wasn't in Paris to spend my time in the room. There was plenty of closet space, a big bed (king), and good sized bathroom. The bathroom had a nice tub and walk in shower stall. The shower was awesome, the best I have ever had in a hotel. It had great water pressure and plenty of hot water. The bed was large and comfortable with a comfortable comforter and pillows. I slept very well while here. My first night I had dinner in the hotel which was good and came quickly. The staff went out of their way to assist with anything they could when I asked. Whether it be directions, subway suggestions, or places to eat. They took the time to think about what I asked for and always came through with good suggestions. Also, they were always friendly as I entered or left the hotel. Also, you could not ask for a better location. Being a stones throw from the Arc De Triomphe and the Champs-Elysees you are central to most locations. I personally love walking everywhere in Paris regardless of the distance as it is so beautiful but you are right near the major subway stations where you can get to anywhere from. I honestly don't have a bad thing to say about this hotel, its staff, or location. They are all first rate and I will surely return. Pros: Great Location Awesome, friendly, and helpful staff Amazing shower Comfortable bed, linens, and pillows Three closets for storage Secure safe in room Quiet Free Internet in the lobby Negatives: None If I am totally nit picking the fact that you have to pay for Internet in your room. If you have the chance to stay here I strongly recommend you do. You won't regret it. Collapse

I went to London for two weeks in January, and my wife and I wanted to take the Eurostar to Paris for a few days. I started researching my hotel options in November 2016 and came across this hotel which seemed super nice yet with all the character of a B&B. I'm not too fancy myself, but this was a once in a lifetime vacation with my wife (the love of my life!!) and I really wanted to make it special. (Note: for disclosure, I travel a LOT for my job in the USA. It's mostly Hamptons and Choice Hotels, but occasionally I get to really nice places, too - I'm a road warrior who isn't easy to impress.) I emailed Pietro and Suzy from the staff a few times through December and January and got some upgrades worked out, including a surprise delivery of chocolate covered strawberries our second night! The strawberries...as they say, étaient magnifiques! The staff was WONDERFUL, so helpful and polite. Pietro and Suzy introduced themselves to me (after we had emailed so much), and checked several times when they saw me to make sure everything was going well. Even though they spoke excellent English, they entertained my (very) poor French when we talked. However, we usually digressed to English (sorry Pietro and Suzy, I tried my best, I promise!). They also greeted me by name whenever they saw me during my stay! Felt like I had friends there, even though I had just arrived. They also remembered to be very discrete about the surprises and upgrades I had arranged for my wife. As far as the view, on the top floors you can see all above most buildings around (Paris is a flat city), and my room had a view of both the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe. The room was BEAUTIFUL without being boring - nothing about it said chain hotel. It was clean (spotless) and everything was tastefully decorated. Not to mention when we were out at night, the staff turned down our bed - it was really wonderful. I can't say much about the TV - i never turned it on. Too busy seeing Paris and getting "romantic" with my wife :). The only complaint I have for my stay in this hotel though is that my room was really hot and never cooled down no matter how low I turned the thermostat. I ended up sleeping with the windows open (in January). I got breakfast at the hotel and only got the buffet (no omelettes or anything else fresh made), but holy crap, it's the best breakfast I've ever had. Delicious fresh fruit, both sausage and bacon, silver dollar pancakes/almost crepes, toast, nutella, juices, milk, and there was also smoked salmon and the BEST mini baguettes around. I know it doesn't sound impressive, but maybe it's just because everything was so fresh and the options were excellent. I ate out every meal in Paris for 3 days, going to places recommended by locals - but I definitely know that the breakfasts were the best part. GET THE BREAKFAST. If I ever come back to Paris, I'm coming back to this hotel. They were so wonderful, welcoming, and personable, and everything was just so nice. I would recommend this place to anyone until the day I die. The memories of this place have me singing "Les Champs-Élysées" - what an excellent hotel. Not to mention the convenience. It's at a major landmark so you'll never get lost - it's 2 blocks from the Arc de Triomphe. There's also a metro station a few hundred feet (100 meters) from the front door. Get anywhere in the city on the Paris metro really quickly! If I haven't been clear enough in this review, we spent 3 days overseas in Paris looking at all the wonderful things the city has to offer, from the Eiffel Tower, to the Louvre, to Notre Dame, and I wasn't disappointed at all at the end of the day to walk into the wonderful Hotel Napoleon at the end of the day. That's how great this place is. Collapse
