On behalf of my husband and myself I would like to sincerely thank Muckross Park hotel for such an amazing wedding weekend!! We had such a wonderful wedding reception in Muckross Park!! Service was 10 star, food was A1 and all guests were treated like VIPs during their stay!! Guests are still talking about how wonderful and absolutely fabulous the hotel was for the wedding and how excellent and efficient the staff were!! The homely, extremely welcoming, ultra relaxing ambience the hotel provided for our guests and us is just unforgettable! My husband and myself got engaged 18 months ago and we instantly decided on Muckross Park for our Wedding reception!! The management and staff there are fantastic and always put us and the guests number 1. Even though we were planning the wedding from Abu Dhabi the staff in Muckross made it so stress free as they always promptly responded to any questions and were so organised and nothing was ever a problem!! Really I cannot recommend Muckross Park enough for a wedding!! It's just a magical hotel!! The Park across the road adds to the setting and ambience!! The rooms are beautiful especially the bridal suite!! Stunning room for photographs the morning of the wedding and so spacious to get hair and make up done!! Wish we could do it all over again!! Next post is on the wonderful and super amazing wedding coordinator James O'Connor!! If you are getting married in Muckross Park book him as your wedding coordinator straight away!! James O'Connor Wedding coordinator in Muckross Park Hotel Well where do I start....really myself and my husband cannot put into words how absolutely amazing James O'Connor was as our wedding coordinator!! He was so obliging, warm, welcoming, friendly, caring, efficient, organised and made everyone including guests feel so valued and special!! Nothing was ever a problem for James!! We planned the wedding from Abu Dhabi and James made it so stress free and easy!! For the whole weekend he was present and constantly made sure my husband and I were happy!! He often went over and beyond the call of duty: blowing up props, sewing torn dresses and calming the mother of the bride!! We did not need to worry or look at our watches for the whole weekend as James had everything from the band, DJ, photo booth, set up of sweet table etc under control!! Really we are so grateful to James for making our wedding weekend so magical and special!! Guests and parents are still talking about how wonderful the wedding coordinator was!! An amazing person and a fantastic wedding coordinator!! Wish we could go back two weeks ago and do it all again! Thank you Muckross Park!! We will definitely be back soon!! Favourite place in the world Collapse

We had two days here 4/5th April, it was our first time staying, we were made to feel very welcome by Shane who is so friendly, attentive & helpful, & a special mention to Sharif who is a wonderful asset to the Hotel. We loved the Vitality Suite & we have a seperate T/A review for that facility. Our room was large, comfortable, everything provided & a really comfortable bed. A couple of niggles regarding the room (230) were a full length mirror was hung on a wall between the luggage rack & TV cabinet so even if you moved the luggage rack out into the middle of the floor the light was shadowed by the cabinet meaning you couldn't check your outfit without taking a heavy mirror off the wall, & directly across from our room was a storage and cleaning area/room (door marked Private) which at 8a.m on both mornings we were woken by staff talking & laughing in & around this storage area & it continued for around 45 minutes each day so a lie-in was out of the question, despite a 'Do not Disturb' sign on our door. The breakfast had so much variety & you could eat from the buffet or order from the kitchen and newspapers are offered at breakfast as well. It is a lovely relaxing experience. We ate in the bar on both nights as time didn't allow us to try the Restaurant which we would loved to have tried & the first night the steak we ordered was seasoned & cooked to perfection exactly as we requested, the second night the chicken we ordered was overcooked, so was very dry but once again seasoned to perfection, so our experience is the bar food is hit & miss. The hotel also offers bike hire (free) to their guests and this is a wonderful way to see the amazing sights on the doorstep of the hotel (Muckross House, Muckross Abbey, Meeting of the Waters, Torc Waterfall etc) Overall we enjoyed our stay, the hotel is beautiful, the staff attentive/helpful/friendly & the Vitality Suite is out of this world, breakfast is a treat & the location is brilliant. Stayed here with my wife in one of the apartments within the hotel grounds. We shared with another couple as we were attending a wedding. Cost was €600 in total for 2 double rooms, no food, for a Thursday Friday and Saturday night, which I thought was good value. The apartments were really nice, clean, spacious and well equipped. You could cook all your meals here if you wanted. I visited the leisure centre whilst staying here and it was beautiful, and not crowded so you could relax in peace. Things I expect in a hotel that make it truly 5 star, a swimming pool which you can swim in , sadly none here. I also expect a safe in the bedroom, none here. These are minor items maybe to others but to me, they become the difference between deciding whether to come back again or not. Sadly I won't be back unless there's another wedding. Better 5 star options in Killarney. Collapse

Fantastic hotel. Blends everything you would expect (and more) from a 5 star hotel coupled with a homely feel and staff that cannot do enough for you. From the beginning I felt welcome, and any dealings i had from beginning to end with staff was very positive. I even had a quick lesson on the different ways you can pour a beer from a waiter during dinner, which may seem like a small thing, but its nice to have an engaging waiter! Good was great from both the bar and even better from the restaurant that evening. Lots of personal touches regarding the hotel room. I will definitely be back again. Collapse
