after reading other guest reviews and problems/faults etc the manger stating will be looked at i can assure it hasn't as we have just visited and all the same problems. room is tiny wife and i were knocking each every-time we passed perfect for dwarfs however! for £100 per night you expect a bigger sized room for sure (and ours was the upgrade with balcony so was bigger than standard) ! also one small mirror next to tv and space on right has bare wall where a bigger mirror wouldve been ideal! tv has all channels in french and not any great ones at that - only english was bbc news - again would expect some sort of sports channels etc! the bathroom has to be the worst in any hotel ive visited - our garden shed is bigger - the shower is the biggest flaw and joke ive seen ; its a walk in shower however theres no ledge to separate the shower form the floor ie water everywhere had to use several towels just to clean up - for £100 night really poor never seen anything like this - just needs a small lege to act a barricade to stop the water - along with mirror needed all simple things also towel rack above the toilet !?? come on its all simple things ! no mini fridge in room to store drinks no kettle !? not a good eater anyhow but breakfast was average small omelette made to order didnt try evening meals . staff reasonably ok few grumpy few ok - location is what you are paying for i guess everything is around the vicinity it train station local shops promenade via tram or walk if wish... for £100 a night quite disappointed - room size - mirrors - walk in shower - no information sheet in room with check out times contact number for reception etc. with other negative reviews can imagine manager will acknowledge with a reply with sorry we try better next time but nothing changes as ive read reviews several weeks past and same problems im afraid. would travel to nice again but probably another hotel. Location is excellent with the tram right outside with a frequent service. Hotel room is incredibly small, even though we had upgraded one level. Athroom was tiny!!! Two friends sharing a room was a bit too cosy, and one very small wardrobe, and nowhere to put other clothes. Air con didnt work properly despite mentioning this at reception. Breakfast was ok, but there were flies on the cold meats, the scrambled eggs were always only dreggs left, and the 'chef' was most unfriendly, unhelpful and very unwilling. By the 3rd morning we didnt bother and went out for breakfast. Rooftop bar was amazing, although not really sold to us at checkin. Also the bar at the front of the hotel was very good with good service and reasonably priced wines. All in all it had positive and negative points, but i wouldnt return.. Collapse

Traveled to the French Riviera to watch the Monaco Grand Prix and celebrate my 50th. Used Uber Taxi for the first time from Nice airport to Nice and found it was an excellent service and approx. half the price of the normal taxi Nice is a very large city our hotel (3*) was conveniently situated 500 m from the main railway station. The entrance of the hotel led onto the main travel link and tram system. The walk was 15 - 20 mins from the hotel to the sea front or a few minutes and 1.5 Euros each way on the tram. The walk gave you a chance to see the shops and cafe's on route. The last 2 streets near the sea front was where we found the majority of the bars & restaurants. Food was varied and reasonable. Hard Rock Cafe on the sea front was very good. Food and Service excellent. Restaurants and bars can be found on the beach where you can chill out and enjoy the sound of the sea. The Hotel was a small 3 star hotel, very clean, modern and offered a great service. The room we had was small but adequate and kept very clean. There is a roof top terrace with excellent views over the city and out to the countryside. Free for people staying at the hotel. You can purchase drinks and some food from the bar on the roof top. There is a small charge of 5 euros for the Hot Tub and you get a non alcoholic drink with that. The staff were very helpful and most spoke very good English. Breakfast was very good and we heard good reports on the restaurant. Train station was excellent, reasonable and convenient. Took a train from Nice to Cannes (station a few hundred meters from the sea front). Great to see the coast on route and it took approx. 35 mins. Train to Monaco was 20 mins and approx 7 euros return. You can also hire cars there. Monaco Grand Prix was superb and the seats we had were excellent (K6 & O). My wife enjoyed it and the pit walk on Friday when she got Bottas and Hamilton's autograph made her day. After that we enjoyed a drink in the famous Rascasse bar. Saw several celebrities. Chris Evans was one who was very polite and welcoming. Spent 2 days on the beach in Beaulieu Sur Mer. Great quite location. easy to get there by train or as we did hire a car to explore the region. The price of the food and drinks were reasonable. Plenty of great supermarkets and bakeries etc... if you want to reduce your costs. Wine was excellent and we found out favorite in small shop - In France 5.50 Euros in the UK £9+.:) First time to the South of France and we will definitely be going back. Collapse

Lovely restaurant & bar area. Food was good with a generous portion. Rooftop bar was amazing - big comfy seating & a jacuzzi. Lift was small but ok. We had a balcony which was lovely & had nice street views with mountains & the sea in the distance. There was a market outside the hotel every morning. Rooms were small but this didn't bother us. Beds were very comfortable (although we found a few hairs & stains on the bed linen). We slept well & didn't hear much noise (maids were a little noisy in the mornings). Rooms had a safe, spacious wardrobe, full length mirror, good TV & wifi, decent plug sockets, lots of shelf space, seating & good complimentary toiletries. Bathroom was nicely decorated & had a great shower. We had to ask on two occasions for more toilet roll when we arrived back from day trips as the maids forgot to put them in our room. Two suggestions for improvement: towel rail under sink & a small shelf in shower for toiletries. Hotel was 15/20mins easy walk to the beach & old town. Public transport near hotel. We did not eat breakfast here but we found a great bakery on the corner by the train station. I enjoyed my stay here, would stay here again & would recommend this hotel. Collapse

First visit to France and was looking forward to staying at this hotel based on the reviews. I will start with the good - room was clean and bed comfy, although very small - shower was really good, though bathroom is a wet room - perfect location, 15 mins from airport, 10 min walk to promenade and old town, 5 mins to train station - rooftop bar was really nice, though terrible terrible wine in dirty glasses - express breakfast was great with wonderfully cheery waiter, thank you! Unfortunately the bad. - attached are photos of our "balcony". We paid extra for this....it leaked water into it from god knows where and staff couldn't understand me when I complained. This resembles a prison cell....not a balcony. - trying to make the best of things, we retired to our "balcony" after the streets of Nice resembled Times Square and we needed a break from people. We wanted some rose wine to enjoy on our balcony and seeing as no shops appeared to be open on a Sunday (and we had no fridge) I went to the bar to order a carafe to our room. Was told rather curtly that we couldn't as people don't return them....so let me get this straight. I was willing to pay the hotel for wine to take to my room and they refused....I was left speechless and returned to our "balcony" without any wine - no tea or coffee facilities, I've been in £15 a night hostels that you could make a coffee in - no ironing facilities - no fridge - evening meal was a disappointment, only a few options and some tapas specials, we only ate here once This holiday was not cheap, at these prices I expect to stay somewhere that's better than home, this was far from it. If all you want is location than this is the place for you. If not then there must be better places to stay in Nice, I wish we chose differently! Collapse
