Starting with the rooms, which were renovated few years ago. First of all, the rooms are a bit small for a 4-star hotel room. On the other hand: you have all you need. Modern decoration, top quality bed (I slept very well), a large balcony where you can relax and enjoy the silence and a luxury bathroom with a comfortable rain shower. Unlocking your door goes with your ''watch'': upon check-in at the reception one receives a certain watch which is the key to your room, but also your ticket to the wellness area. This is quite a good system I think, not easy to forget your room keys like this. For dinner I joined a buffet in the brasserie. And this was brilliant! Wide range of salads, hot meals, fish, meat to choose from. Under which oysters, foie gras and filet mignon. Also there was this quiche of onions and sardines, which was just delicious. Staff was very attentive. All the time checking whether guests were ok, offering another drink, taking away dirty plates very fast and most important: they maintained the buffet very well. They complemented the buffet very efficient and kept it attractive from beginning until end. Guests arriving later at night would have exactly the same quality as guests early in the evening. After a good night of rest, the breakfast was a similar surprise. Wide range of bread, rolls, fruits, meat, everything. They even served champagne in case you did not feel like juice. I was the first one to sit outside on the terrace, having a very nice breakfast in the quiet nature atmosphere. I really enjoyed this. Mondorf is developing. A few years ago they renovated the rooms, and more projects are lying ahead. I was really impressed by the service of the staff, that does so many efforts to maintain a constant quality. Manager Attila Laszlo understands very well the needs of the guests, and I think Mondorf will even improve further in the future. Many thanks for a great stay Collapse

First of all I would like to explain is that I am from The Netherlands, which means that English is not my native language. In advance I would like to apologies for any language and spelling errors in my review. I choose to write my reviews in English so may people can read or translate them. My travel schedule only allowed me to stay for one night in this wellness paradise (with thermal water) in Mondorf-les-Bains and to be honest it was at least three nights to short. This luxury hotel has everything under one roof to relax and to indulge yourself. What do you think about 1800m2 of fitness and workout area, different restaurants from a brasserie, cocktail bar up to a stylish top notch restaurant, large wellness area with saunas, hammams all with the benefits of thermal water at 36 degrees, swimming pools etc. There is even a special ladies only sauna area! In the MONDORF Domaine Thermal area you can, on request, also get advice from a multi-disciplinary professional team. They can make customized programs for you defined by nutritionists, dieticians, doctors, physiotherapists, and sport coaches. Besides everything what this hotel offers inside you will find outside a garden of 42 acres maintained by a staff of 20 gartner’s who work full time to keep everything in top state! The garden is also open for the public. A lot of local people visit the garden regularly. Our room was located on the front side and belongs to a newly renovated part of the hotel, located on the third floor on the corner. It had a large and luxury bathroom, big screen television with TV channels in almost every language, even 3 channels in Dutch and minibar. The balcony had a lounge set with two large chairs and a large table. Further had our room an electric regular sunscreen that was hanging on the façade and keep our balcony out of the sun and our room had an electric sunscreen that blinded our windows against the sunlight. In the evening we joined the luxury diner buffet at the hotel restaurant, which was located on the ground floor near the hotel bar. This buffet was more than top. Fresh oysters, filet mignon, foie gras and more than 25 other top dishes to make you forget that there is a world outside this hotel. In the morning I have joined the breakfast buffet. Off course is this buffet not a regular one. Sparkling wine, all kind of juices, bacon, eggs in different preparations, fruit, yoghurt, high quality fresh bread, etc. etc. If you like you can also have your breakfast outside on the beautiful terrace of the breakfast room. During my visit I have met the manager of this large hotel Mr. Attila Laszlo. He started in 2008 as manager from this hotel and made it to the luxury place like it is today. A wonderful and difficult job to manage a property with so many different demands, services, needs and so many staff. Mr. Attila is original from France and I have a great respect for the way he is trying and working to improve this hotel/resort wellness paradise in every detail what’s possible. If you love to be pampered by all the wellness possibilities than I would recommend to book a room for at least two nights or longer. Because this hotel needs a lot off staff not everyone in the hotel speaks another language then Lëtzebuergesch, the original language of the people of Luxemburg or French. It is hard to find employers in this area of Luxemburg and it is more difficult to find employers who speak more languages like German or English. Collapse

Everytime I showered , there was water everywhere, on the floor ... There is a restaurant inside : dejangeli(dejangeli.lu). This is supposed to be an gastronimic cuisine !!! But this is a big joke. you pay 50€ for what you find at 25 € in a bistrot in Luxembourg city.!! Food was crap, not refined at all and not gastroniomic at all. I would have put 4, but because of the restaurant, I put 3. Collapse

I stayed in this hotel for just under a week last April and had a wonderful experience. The rooms are clean and the bathrooms are very big. I had a balcony and loved the automatic shutters that kept my room dark at night. The spa area is well equipped and organized. Beware - you will see lots of naked folks mostly senior citizens who travel there for health treatments. I also had a wonderful massage. Breakfast was pretty good and was included in our rate. Check in: ok, but not really welcoming. Room: new (renovated), large, clean, good equipment and decoration,quiet, excellent... Situation: large parking lot in front of the hotel, but also large nice park behind the hotel, the hotel is directly connected to the "Domaine Thermal" (which is sold as "Wellness Spa" but seems to be more like kind of public swimming pool where all kind of guests and children!! are noisy and behave unpolite) Break-fast: a real let down, when we arrived at 9.30 in the morning and had a look at the "buffet" we sadly noticed that basic items were missing (bread, milk, müsli....) it wasn't easy to make the staff refill parts of the buffet, but at 5 minutes after 10 they woke up and became really motivated and told the remaining guests that the buffet was going to be cleared.... one fellow guest asked: "what is left to be cleared?!" waiters and waitresses are not customer oriented at all and don't make any effort to provide guests a nice start in their day, maybe managment could give them a "service" training in order to improve guest satisfaction?
