Myself and 8 other family and friends stayed at the Mimosa from 13th June for 10 days, thank goodness it wasnt 2 weeks because I dont think I would have coped!! Reception area and outside of hotel front were lovely but when we got to our room I was very disappointed. The decor was like something out of the 1950's, dull, boring, burgundy colours in much need of modernising. The room was spacious enough and I thought looked clean but really it wasnt. The bath had mould all along the sides and tiles were same. We only got our sheets changed on beds once in 10 days which is ridiculous. The entertainment area was not near big enough so we didnt even see what was on each night as we had to sit in reception area most nights. The food was terrible not much selection and everything was cold, the times I did try something I had to heat my food in the microwave, breakfast was the only decent thing to eat. Pool area was nice but again not big enough and just a carry on to get a sunbed each day as towels were taken off if you didnt sit at your bed till after 9. Drinks at bar were as much as you wanted to start with then they changed it downstairs to 3 per person which was ok but to 2 per person upstairs which made the queue even bigger because more people in groups had to go up for drinks. There was no disabled access to the pool area which was terrible as my sister is disabled and couldnt even come down and sit with us at our sunbeds, she had to sit at the bar area on the uncomfortable white seats. I have been to Palma Nova 3 times now but definately wont be going back to the Mimosa. Collapse

Me and my five friends stayed here from 7th June for a week. The location is amazing, a five minute walk to Magaluf with some lovely cocktail bars dotted along Palma nova beach front. We arrived at the hotel at 2:30am and I decided I wanted to go straight to sleep but the walls were far too thin and could hear a family argument with a mother and her two daughters that went on for two more hours, the walls are literally so thin I felt like I was involved in the said argument. Every morning was the same banging from the cleaners or high pitched singing and screaming from the neighbours. The food was absolutely fine, lots of choice and snacks at set times so you never go hungry. I would say that if you like to go all inclusive for the alcohol don't do it because there's no choice really and you have to pay for other spirits that aren't on the menu, we ended up buying drinks out which we didn't really want to, but had to. (And the cocktails taste like juice from a machine) the only staff that are friendly are the entertainment staff, the others need to learn to smile. I enjoyed my stay at the hotel but if the walls were normal and the alcohol was actually alcohol I might have felt better about it. The sun bed situation is awful they need to buy more! Simple! I think we paid £400 so I don't mind but if it had been more I wouldn't have been happy at all. Globales hotels need to look at feedback and implement change, if they did I would be happy to come back as palmanova is beautiful! Collapse

after a nightmare of a delay flight finally got to hotel, greeted by great staff but was on 1st floor next to family from hell....every hotel gets them so not Mimosas fault. Asked for another room higher and got a lovely room, all thanks to Javier thank you, cant really see much of the complaints....yes the pool area is the bugbear of this hotel and there is a lot of greedy people that tend to think that their sunbeds should have a parasol each and sod the rest. But yet again I've seen this at most hotels, short walk to 3 lovely beaches so that's where we went, food is a strange combo but you'll never go hungry, all in all good hotel. Staff brill, food good, and as everyone says you get what you pay for. Collapse

Where to start on arrival the reception area is fantastic quick check in and staff we're great , you only get one key for your room which is a little inconvenient at times , right to the lifts there's 3 of them all really small and air con in them so when you're on the higher floors (we were on 7) in the heat it's really quite oppressing now when you step out of the lift for the first time it's like your in a different hotel you've gone from the foyer that is modern white and grey marble with chrome to a dark burgundy carpet with gold trim it all looks dark and dirty and I swear the 70's were calling repeatedly for their corridors back (I promised my friend I'd put that line in) now to your room it's in dire need of updating the burgundy theme is repeated in here from the bedspreads to the curtains (one of which was hanging off in our room) the beds are really small but comfortable the air con you get in your room barely works now to the bathroom no plug for either the bath or the sink be careful when u shower coz as you're getting attacked by the shower curtain while trying to rinse the shampoo from your hair the water will either go to scorching hot or freezing cold I will say the towels and bed linen were clean so that's a bonus now to the bars and pool be prepared to set an alarm to get a sunbed round the pool you need to b there before 6.30am stupid I know but that's just how it is I don't mind you saving sunbeds till after breakfast but we saw some saved till 2/3 pm on a regular basis which really needs to be sorted out the bar by the pool is clean and modern and even when there's a queue they get to u quickly the chairs by the pool bar and also the white plastic stools outside at the main bar have to b the most uncomfortable chairs I've ever had the misfortune to sit in the pool is ok it's clean and cool but it's not as big as it looks on the photos onto the meals which I do have to say were good plenty of choice for breakfast lunch and tea the desserts did let it down a little but the salad bar and choice of mains was fab now to the main bar where on our last few days the queues were unbelievable to the point we left the hotel now they two bars one by the pool and one upstairs near reception why not have them both open it's ridiculous to think you can serve that many people with 3/4 bar staff from one bar there's no where near enough seats in the entertainment area and we weren't even there at peak time it's not a 3 star hotel for me the main areas are because they've been updated but there's no way on earth that the rooms are you'd be lucky if they were a two in the end though we did have a good time but that was more due to the people I went with than the hotel Collapse

Also the food was amazing, they did English food as Well as Spanish food. I would also like too mention about the two reps Callum and Emma-Rose. These two reps were very friendly and helpful. They made us feel very welcome and made our stay enjoyable. I hope they both do well in the future and thankyou for all the help and advice you have given us within our 10 days of being here. Because of this, I hope you both get recommended. Thankyou for a fantastic holiday. Collapse
