This hotel is being terribly mismanaged. With so many better options along the strip, you'd be making a mistake wasting your money and vacation here. Upon checking in, we were informed that the entire pool deck (pool, hot tub, bar, grill) was being renovated so they would not be charging us the $15 resort fee and give a $10 credit per day for the inconvenience. The $10 isn't even enough for 1 sandwich at the food mart they have, let alone for 2 of us to take advantage of something. While I appreciate them making some sort of effort, can you imagine booking a vacation ready to relax for a week by the pool listening to music, drinking Pina coladas, only to find out it's all under construction? At that point, $10 a day is an insult. Due to the pool being closed, the guys at the beach were swamped and you'd have to stand around in the sun for 20 minutes before it was your turn if you were lucky to still have chairs available at the point. Otherwise, you were left waiting for someone to leave and then grab their stuff first. One of the guys was pretty nasty, giving us an attitude because we were there 2 hours before our room was available so didn't have a room number to give him, even though the front desk told us it was ok and to let them know. Outside of laying on a crowded beach, there really was nothing else for you. No bar to get drinks or food from. No games set up like ping pong or shuffleboard. If you wanted something to eat, you had to walk back up to the hotel, through the halls to the the lobby to get an overpriced snack or sandwich. It ended up being an expensive hotel for us to just sleep in and then take taxis and spend our time and money elsewhere. To pour salt on our wounds, we ended up walking from south beach back to the hotel along the gorgeous Miami Beach Boardwalk. The entire 2.5 mile walk we got to look at the dozens of beach front hotels and the gorgeous pools, bars, hammocks, games, etc that other guests were enjoying while listening to fun music, sometimes live. It was pretty depressing when we finally reached ours and saw a wasteland of demolished concrete and construction tape. It's funny how some replies from the Hotel on here have mentioned they apologize and that the construction took longer than expected because of inclement weather. The 3 days we spent there, we did not see a single person working on the pool and we were out there multiple times throughout the day. This is a poorly managed hotel that has the attitude "Hey its summer and slow, lets try and get some work done at a cheap rate, and not let our customers know until they show up and it's too late. Then we'll give them $10 a day that we'll easily get back when they try and eat" In the end, I urge you to look to any of the other hotels along the same strip. You'll find better hotels for the same price and you won't deal with old dirty rooms and a staff that is clueless. The only way to hold these businesses accountable is to stop rewarding them for crappy service. Then they have 2 options...fix it or close up shop. This hotel desperately needs to choose one and should no longer profit off of those who aren't doing their homework. Collapse

June 17, 2017 .... Saturday Just arrived and things are not starting off so good. I drive a Tahoe SUV not the Suburban. None the less, the charge me an extra $10 for parking .. $32 up to $45! On one occasion, we called for our vehicle and went out for dinner, came back and with several valets standing around, no one came to our car to open doors for the ladies or greet us. I shut the vehicle off, got out and carried the keys to the valet. So, what does the $45.00 get us. No service - No tips! We go to check in and they tell me the pool will not be available for use but they will not charge us for an umbrella and $17 credit at the hotel. The problem is we booked this location for the pool and are not beach people .. Very poor .. No notification prior to our arrival which would allow us to make a change! I asked that they just comp the parking since we booked here for the pool and the desk attendant said no. This hotel has a beautiful entrance and lobby but our room is dated. See photos of our room .. 1520 .. King Bed Ocean View. No bed spread, just sheets. Floor was wet below the air return in the entrance hall. Windows were filthy. Counter top in bathroom was broken (see photo) Noisy .. room was across from cleaning station. Linen service - We stayed 2 nights. After the 1st night, service came thru to clean the room and provide fresh linens. We noticed they had only left one washcloth. I found the maid and mentioned it to her and she said she did have anymore washcloths... That's was just wonderful. Beach is as many Atlantic beaches are .. lots of sea weed. Remember, because the pool is closed we were to get a free umbrella and lounges. Well, the saga continues. Umbrellas are available but the guy who locked the lounges up last evening didn't show up and he's got the key to the lock. So another guy from another hotel is relocated here to help with the problem. His name was Angel and he caught a lot of unwarranted grief for a problem he didn't create and he handled it like a professional .. Class act .. Thank you Angel. Anyway, by around 11, Angel had gotten help from hotel management and the carried lounges down from the pool area. We did eat lunch in the restaurant on the main lobby floor. I had a wrap and it was the best thing about this place. It was excellent! Our waiter was excellent as well. Everything else ... such a disappointment! Collapse

My husband and myself came to Miami before a cruise found staff to be unhelpful in reception ,rooms ,were very tired bed was comfy . Pool was closed for a refurbish was not told this prior to our stay . The food in the restaurant we ate in there twice,was over cooked on each occasion and lacked flavour Location was not great there was nowhere to eat apart from hotel I could have taken the trolley to south beach or north beech but when you are tired and just wanted a quick bite Collapse

This place is run down and dirty, the restaurant is dusty and dirty also, the pool and pool bar are not available looks like an abandoned hotel .. was not told about this and ruined our holiday .. we tried to spend as much time away from the hotel as we could .. we did get a $20 per night credit for food because of the pool but really $10 per person didn't even pay for a Cuban sandwich.. or the uber to travel into town So much for our relaxing holiday around the pool ...
