Visited this hotel for a week in early May 2016. Nice place clean and tidy family run hotel. We went on half board to make it more convenient. The hotel itself is about a 20 minite walk to main square Plaza Tasso, it sits itself on a bit of a hill so can be a bit of a struggle if infirm, plus halfway up the pavement runs out, and is situated by the most awful road junction. The food was ok on days and you pre ordered your evenimg meal at breakfast time. The waiters were as good as gold and went out their way to please. Rooms were small but were cleaned daily and if you managed to get a front room you would have had a fab view. All in all not a bad place to stay ut if i was to go to Sorrento again would choose somethong a little further towards the square, just for conveniance. Like all hotels they have there good and bad points and this was no different. Collapse
Spotlessly clean, friendly, comfortable hotel.

We booked a 'Superior Room' (Rm No: 300) so my review is obviously based on this and our experience. Having read some of the reviews on here we went with open minds. The room we were allocated on the third floor was superb, with stunning views to the front of the hotel and over Mt Vesuvius. The room was large, simply but amply furnished immaculately clean and with lovely decor of deep blue tiles. This Superior Room had a sun terrace rather than a balcony which had sun on it all day long once it rose above the mountains until it set behind the hills. Fantastic views of sun rises and sunsets over Mt Vesuvius! We booked B&B only allowing us the option to sample various restaurants in town. The breakfasts were ample with a decent choice of options, from eggs & bacon, cereals and toast with jams to fresh oranges, yoghurt, various breads, cheese and ham and cakes, plus fruit juices and tea or coffee. We had a fridge with a mini bar and snacks of crisps and biscuits in the room. There were no tea/coffee facilities in the room, but we were in Italy after all not England! The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept well all week. The room had air conditioning too which was very welcome! There is a bar with waiter service offering a good selection of drinks plus snacks of sandwiches etc available all day, we used the bar service for drinks but not the food. We chose to eat in the restaurant one evening, but having sampled food at various restaurants in town we were a little disappointed to say the least. The food was in my opinion quite bland. The choices of menu (typically 3 options) were available at breakfast time and you placed your order then, dessert was chosen at dinner time. from a choice of Italian style homemade cake / fresh fruit / ice cream I chose fresh fruit expecting maybe a fresh fruit salad of sorts but was given a small fruit bowl with a banana,a kiwi fruit and an apple! Can't complain - it was what it said it was! All the staff we encountered were extremely helpful, very pleasant and friendly. The room was cleaned every day with fresh towels daily. As with other reviews, the position of this hotel requires a walk along a very busy road and there are no pavements until approx 200 metres down the road, but as long as you keep your wits about you its not a problem and the views as you walk down to town are stunning with a couple good viewpoints stop to admire the views and take pics over the marina and out to Mt Vesuvius. We had a fantastic week at this hotel booked through TUI (Thomson), we would be happy to go back and stay again and would recommend it to anyone. Collapse
Small, clean rooms with a continental breakfast that was adequate...just.

This hotel is located about 15 minutes from Sorrento town. It looks out across Naples bay to Mount Vesuvius (not as big as I though it would be).Outside, there is an unbelievably dangerous junction that has an endless stream of traffic from early morning to late night, The drivers are crazy. There are no footpaths for half the distance from the hotel into into the town. Sorrento town itself is overrun with tourists.Naples Bay is beautiful but Naples is a sunny pit that had its day (long in the past. When they quote that saying: 'See Naples and Die' it means that you may be run over by a truck. Sorrento, ! hour 30 minutes from Naples airport by car, is very expensive, The best part of Sorrento is down by the old fishing port - the restaurants are great there. Collapse

My wife and I spent a week at this hotel, the reception staff are pleasant, the beds are slightly on the hard side but acceptable, breakfast was fairly repetitive but edible all the same, at breakfast time we was given a menu to chose what we wanted for supper, there were 4 starters and 4 main courses to chose from, never repeating any all week and pudding was optional when you finished your main course. We booked a balcony but on check in we were given a rear garden view, on pointing it out to reception they immediately rectified it by swopping us around with another couple who had a sea view/balcony but didn't book one, we felt very bad as we didn't know what was happening until the other couple came downstairs to swop keys. However we did meet up a couple of times after that so no bridges burnt. As it was a long weekend some Italian bikers and their wives booked in, unfortunately they were very noisy when coming back at night after visiting town. However they only stayed 3 nights so at least the last 4 night were quiet. Collapse

We absolutely loved this holiday. The hotel was typically Italian; tiled rooms, dark furniture and very continental. The breakfast buffet with its huge selection and yummy, buttery scrambled eggs was very delicious. Wonderful coffee too. The evening menu was a quite ordinary however, and after two meals, we chose to eat in other restaurants.....the one next door was lovely!!! We found everything extremely clean and the staff worked hard. The view of Vesuvius from our hotel window was breath-taking.....as was some of the Italian driving!!!! Lots of manoeuvres and horn blowing.....very entertaining! Collapse
