Room was not in the main hotel but was around the block. Wifi service although free was nonexistent any where but in the lobby and even then it was very slow. Tv had not one English station if for news purposes. Luckily the hotel was located relatively close to the Salute station so that luggage was not a huge. Pillows were terrible and the shower in the bathroom was very small. No face towels provided. The restaurant was good as was the free breakfast Collapse

PLEASE READ This Hotel claims to be four stars, one at best. Bed and breakfast was included in the price which we never took up because all of the tables were pre-laid all day where pigeons flew around the area and perched without the staff Caring less. The staff were either rude or uninterested. When booking in,we booked in at the main hotel building and then was lead out of the main building five buildings away to a building best described from the outside of looking rundown and derelict, this is where our room was situated in the so-called four Star Hotel. The room was small, dirty and damp. The bed was 2 foot off the ground and rock hard . The furniture had cigarette burns. The windows were at Such a small level it would be easy to fall out. The windows did not close properly. The sink and the toilet were filthy. And worst of all the room was totally unsound Proof, meaning you could hear rooms from upstairs and next door taking a shower and using the toilet ,constantly!!!! If you never ever take a piece of advice of trip advisor again listen to this one I am not lying or over exaggerate this place is disgusting and it's good reviews are total fabrication See REAL photos I've up loaded STAY WELL AWAY, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!!!! It took me five days to figure out how to access the side door to the hotel, due to some coincidental occurrences that lead me to believe access to the side doorway was gained through a different process that it actually was, and the staff was ever so patient with me during this time. And they were excellent about getting me a working key to the safe in the bathroom, as well as very helpful with printing my airline boarding passes and serving breakfast to me the one day that I had breakfast at the hotel. Excellent discount on the hotel restourant and a good breakfast, it's enough for the day. Wonderful landscape on the city. 40 minutes walk across the town from the station. Big luggage needs a boat bus.

First of all we reach 1 hour before our check-in. All hotels in Italy so far had accommodated us 2 to 3 hours before hand, but not Messner. Then we progress to wait for another 1 hour after official check in time. The lady at the counter said she made us wait so that we could have the room in the same hotel building not the one 3 minutes next door. So I alone go up to the room to see a dingy room ( we had booked double superior) with a suspect bunk bed and I go into the toilet. There is the security paper on it - that it is clean & sanitized & I lift it to see - CRACKED TOILET SEAT that is see-sawing away to glory as well. I come down and raise hell. And then she makes us wiat another 3o minutes and takes us to the next building. The toilet is better though dingy, seat is intact & room is better. They had a Minuscule TV - most Ipads have bigger screens than the TV in the Double Superior Room. The decor was so striped red & yellow wall paper. AC was making us feel like we were in the Sahara desert & going to die any minute - must never have been serviced. Better to open the windows. They gave our kids a sillier bunk bed than the previous room where the upper one was slanted down at 45 degrees downwards along its length, so whoever slept on top would fall to the ground if they turned in their sleep. we were so tired after travelling from Cortona and waiting 2 and half hours in Messner Lobby that we decided forget it. Then the Wifi topped working totally & also we did not have the minbar that was listed in our amenities. This hotel does not by any spark of any inspiration deserve to be a 4 star. It should be 1 or 2 star at the most. It is simply the most rubbish hotel I have seen in my whole life, and wouldn't wish my worst enemy to stay here. Room – Single big Room with Miniature TV and no Minibar (it was part of the room) facing the canal. AC is prehistoric and better as a heater. Room not that clean. Maroon & Yellow striped wallpaper is very claustrophobic. Bedsheets ok, bed ok. Bunk bed – dangerous. Carpet is dirty as well. Toilet – Ok in cleanliness, but very dingy. Shower is too narrow and has a bad shower curtain that wants to cling to you more than the soap. Once showered, run out of the bathroom to the bedroom – drippin naked and wipe down as there is NO SPACE to turn or bend in the toilet without hitting basin, toilet or bidet or wall. Breakfast – They have their own restaurant yet the breakfast is not that great. Nothing hotis there on offer. Staff- Clueless and casual. One of the Reception staff was trying her best to help with WiFi et all but was not succesful Overall – Very terrible experience. Avoid this place like the plague Collapse
