We stopped here for lunch as it seemed a pleasant setting, off the usual tourist routes and not too busy. There was a good variety of dishes on the menu. We ordered a dish each and a beer and a bottle of white wine. After a while the dishes arrived but still no drinks. The dish that my wife ordered was not the one delivered and so was sent back and a reminder made about the drinks. The drinks then arrived, the beer was cold but the white wine was at room temperature. The server then asked if we would like an ice bucket! Eventually, the correct dish was delivered by which time my wife had eaten the salad which she had also ordered and I had finished my shrimp salad. The shrimp was watery and did not taste of much but the salad was all right. Finally, to pay the bill I had to go the the hotel reception and wait with hotel guests and other diners for my turn to pay. Very strange! Collapse

The location is great - just around the corner from a water stop and we also liked the neighborhood that was a bit more peaceful with great art studios and restaurants. But the service was very questionable. First of all, we arrived and went to the restaurant and asked if we could eat in 30 minutes (had to rush to the opera). I understood that we will get the menu but the waiter actually ordered us two dishes which were probably most most expensive ones in the menu. Okay, we got 30% off (hotel guests) but who does that? I understand that there was a little misunderstanding but my English is not poor so...Secondly, we asked the reception about train transportation to Bologna and got very few accurate answers... And two other cons: - quite small rooms - really bad wifi (I had to get a few things done and it was terrible) Collapse

This is one of the worse stays I have ever encountered by far. The title of a "hotel" is inappropriate. We booked for 5 nights and we received a room smaller than 10 square meters. While walking towards the room which is not the same building with the reception, we entered the building and there was pungent odor of mold and mildew. When we entered the room the odor became stronger. We had a window the size of hand bag with no protection against bugs (mosquitos and such) meaning that we couldn't even keep it open during the night for fresh air. On the first day the sink and shower were clogged. We couldn't even brush our teeth because the water would overflow the sink and the same story was for the shower. We had to time our shower basically 30 seconds water, 1 minute waiting for the water to drain. In the middle of the night we hear a strange noise from the bathroom. When we open the door there was water dripping from the ceiling through the lamp. Calling the reception they decided to put our garbage bin the middle of the bathroom saying that the problem will be solved tomorrow. When mentioning to be moved to a different room the receptionist just walks away while talking to us saying "the hotel is full!!" also rolling his eyes in the meanwhile. It is a waste of your money to stay here. While you might think it's affordable it is just a joke. Venice is an affordable city if you want to experience to local cuisine and wines. Don't save the money on a hotel because your experience can be affected. I wouldn't recommend this hotel anybody that has any regard for their hygiene and well-being. Collapse
Nice Hotel, but small room

Hotel located in a perfect place near Piazza San Marco, easy reachable by waterbus (Salute Vaporetto Stop). Nice helpful personal. But our room in the other building was small, as you couldn't open you luggage easily.
