Can't fault this place at all. The rooms were lovely and made the Venice experience all the better as they were very venetian style. Rooms were also equipped with what looked like at least a 52" TV, although no English channels. We ate dinner one night in the Hotel restaurant and we're massively impressed at the food! Also received a 30% discount as a hotel resident. Breakfast was adequate (continental) The staff were brilliant and I'd like to mention the staff young Lady that was always on her own at breakfast rushing round to help everyone and really went out of her way. The staff at dinner time were also great and had a good laugh with us after we had a few to many drinks! Thank you so much Hotel Messner, thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Collapse

Very good price-quality ratio for the offer we got. The room was small but we were only there for sleeping so it didn't bother us too much. Great food at breakfast but we got the same thing every day. Wi-fi was really slow.

The room was not just dirty, but everything in it was broken or rusty. Let me start with the room - we didn't find any double 1 bed rooms available so we booked a twin - this is why we had to pull the two beds together. While moving those we found a lot of dust under the beds, there was dust even on the blankets. In the room we had a broken lamp and a small flat screen tv that looked like a toy. I would have thrown those out. Blankets awful, pillows awful. Now the bathroom, I couldn't even take pictures of such a thing: the shower cabin doors where missing so in order to close the shower they hanged a curtain between the cabin walls that where still in place. Empty light-bulbs above the mirror, everything was rusty, stained or peeled. Inside the shower there was a soap holder so rusty we could even place our sponges there. We kept them in small plastic bags and handed them over while showering. The restaurant - I saw it had many good reviews - I must admit that the one ham, salami and cheese available at breakfast where good, not poor quality - however it was all they had with some horrible yogurt, some croissants, coffee, tea, boiled eggs, good bread buns and that was it. And to top it all it was freezing cold in the restaurant at breakfast, so almost impossible to enjoy. In the room we had to put on the AC on heating in order to turn the temperature up a bit. All in all, even if the staff was friendly, the stars on the door don't stand for cleanness and comfort, just for some facilities that don't even count or work. Collapse
