Check in was quick and efficient. Got slightly lost trying to find room as directions given were not great. Room was nice and bed and pillows comfortable. Bathroom was modern although the show was over the bath. Would have been nice to have a walk in shower! Who on earth has a bath in a hotel! The bathroom could have been cleaner as there was fluff floating around on the floor. Bar service extremely slow. Would have been nice to have had a couple of drinks before our coach collected us, but only had time to stand and wait for one!! The breakfast was as you would expect. Nothing special. Buffet - bacon, sausages, tomatoes, hash browns, beans and two types of egg. Toast and usual continental stuff. Limited for vegetarians. Would also been nice to have had mushrooms!! Overall an OK hotel. If you are only staying for a night it does the job. Collapse

This hotel needs some big changes to bring it up to scratch, the actual hotel is in a good location with plenty of parking and the hotel appearance is very nice but the problem is with the way it’s run!! There were no bar staff so getting a drink was impossible eventually they got one bar person who had never even worked behind a bar before!! People were ordering food which never came or came wrong,in the morning my friend went for breakfast but couldn’t eat it because there were no knife and forks available,I had breakfast delivered to my room with was disgusting even the milk came out it’s jug in lumps!! We stayed here as a family breaking up a journey from home to the Christmas market in Birmingham. Checked in and told we needed to book a table in the restaurant which wasn't going to open until 7, so after a 4hr journey we had to wait 2 1/2 hours to eat. At 7 we went to the restaurant which was closed for a function. The general manager dealt with the issue professionally and credit must go to Jordan who made sure we were looked after whilst we are in a hastily arranged room. Food was great and really enjoyed by us. The checkout however was again a let down. The bill had grown overnight and no one could explain why. The reception of a hotel is the first impression of what you will experience and unfortunately the impression we received is that the reception team are not an accurate reflection of what you will get. The room was great and clean. Just a shame the reception team let the rest of the hotel down Collapse

I stayed a couple of nights for a business meeting. The staff were very attentive and the lady who looked after our party was extremely good. The rooms were comfortable and the food was absolutely fine. It isn't fine dining but for this kind of hotel it was perfectly acceptable. I didn't use the spa facilities or the restaurant for evening dinner (we had private rooms) so can't comment on these. If I'm looking for a good business venue near Birmingham I'd go back for sure. The hotel is lovely and the staff polite and friendly but it is let down terribly by the service standard. Inexperienced bar staff on an occasion with a fully booked hotel for one club event. No change in the till and no experience in how to serve at a busy bar. The breakfast service was even worse. No milk or water in the coffee machine for long periods. No plates, butter or knives for the toast. No glasses for the orange juice. No tea spoons for the yogurts. Half the buffet missing leaving people waiting for ten minutes at a time with cold breakfasts and the queue into the lobby. Not impressed at all. Collapse
