Just arrived home from a great 10 night stay in this hotel, we had a really big clean modern room with a balcony over looking the mountains. Great pool area and fantastic features around the hotel such as the waterfall. Always could find free sunbeds no matter what time of day we turned up at the pool. We loved Costa Adeje and found it more peaceful and relaxing than our previous stay in Las Americas. Hotel had a shuttle bus to the lovely nearby beach, it was fine to walk too if you didn't mind a few hills on the way back! Also really nice nearby shopping centre and lots of bars/restaurants not far away. All of the staff were really friendly and helpful, including Lisbet and Roberto at Casa Nostra restaurant and Mustafa in the main restaurant. Estefania at the entrance to the main restaurant was very welcoming, also all bar staff at the roof top bar were very efficient and friendly! Great to have the option of eating at Casa Nostra when staying half board. Only few downsides were we felt there was perhaps a smaller section of food at the buffet than we have experienced in other 4 star Tenerife hotels. Also, due to the balcony being next to a road we were sometimes awoken by a bin lorry early morning at times! Would definitely stay again!! :-) Collapse

The setting of this Hotel is excellent with great views and good size rooms. The rooms have been refurbished in a clean modern style, however the bathroom are the original baths and sinks with new taps fitted and the tiles painted. This looks like a DIY job which spoils the rooms. The water in the fridge and tea and coffee wasn't replaced and when we asked the cleaner she said speak with reception We had used one satchel of coffee and reception wanted 6beuros to replace it. We had lots of tea bugs but no coffee.I didn't take up their offer The staff were friendly in the restaurant and also smart in theit casual uniforms. They were really helpful The food started off very good but went downhill after two days with poor quality, running out of things and often cold/Luke warm food. It is a relaxing Hotel spread over a large area so you do not feel to be on top of each other.I did feel comfortable and relaxed which was main aim of the holiday Collapse
If when looking for a hotel you want security and for your concerns to be taken seriously, do not book with this hotel.

The first impression of the hotel was great, it had amazing views and the room was lovely. The location of Costa Adeje is beautiful and has amazing gluten free food. The problem arose on our second day when we came back to the room after spending the day by the pool to find our hotel room had been left wide open by the cleaning staff for anyone to walk in. We immediately reported this to reception, hoping for an explanation, some sincerity and an apology about the situation. However all we got was a rude receptionist, no apology and just a brief statement that she would talk to the cleaning staff and a *guarantee* that this would not happen again... The NEXT day we came up to our room in the late afternoon to AGAIN find our hotel room left fully open. We went straight up to reception, where we finally got an apology. However, the only response they provided was, once again, just a brief statement that they would speak to the cleaning staff and that this would not happen again - a carbon copy response that we had already heard the day before and made absolutely no difference whatsoever. Ultimately, *WE* were the ones who had to propose a solution, which was to change rooms which we were able to do the next day. This also led to another issue where they expected us to check out of our old room for 12pm and would not be able to get into the new room until 3pm. To clarify, we had to go through the inconvenience of having our room left upon for hours in the middle of the day - exposing our valuables and passports to the risk of being stolen - not once, but twice, a phone call and 2 trips to the reception to complain and seek some kind of solution, but then *WE* were expected to re-pack, go through the process of checking out at 12pm, leave our suitcases in a holding room for 3 hours in the middle of the day in the middle of our holiday, and then go through the checking in process again at 3pm. We were very disappointed with the hotel as to not try and clean our room first and make us a priority and to try and help us as much a they could seeing as they were the ones so dangerously at fault. We had to convince the staff for us to remain in our old room until we could move straight into the new one, as we were not prepared to waste a day of our holiday (on-top of the hours already wasted going to and from reception queuing up and complaining) moving rooms. Although we then had no problems with the new room, we had no real apology, no sincerity, no reimbursement for our wasted time and inconvenience from the staff and we were made to feel like this very important issue of not being secure in our room was no big deal at all. On a positive note, as I am gluten free the hotel provided a vast range of gluten free food which was great, however it would take up to 30 minutes in the morning for them to bring out my food (which was only cereal and some biscuits) again this was really not ideal and an inconvenience. Ultimately, as security is one of the main things we look for in a hotel when we go on holiday as we're sure it is with most couples/families, we will not be coming back to this hotel in the future and we will not be recommending this to anyone we know.
