Myself, sister and mum (80yrs young,) came here for a 5 night break, We booked to stay at The Level, from the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty, and were shown to our room. Large room with three proper single beds and the patio doors opening out to the beautiful quiet pool. The towels are provided and placed on your sun lounger each morning and there's plenty of choice for the complimentary sun tan lotions, the pool is very welcoming and warm which was fabulous. Our room had a large bathroom with seperate wc, walk in shower and two wash basins, and good hairdryer. Theres a kettle, coffee making machine and all condiments you need, the mini bar/fridge is also well stocked with soft drinks, beer and spirits, but they will refill with just what you prefer to drink if you want. The main restaurant serves a wide selection of everything you could possibly want and the drinks waiters are very attentive. We also tried the Italian restaurant which the food was very good but unfortunately had no atmosphere, I would suggest some back ground music at least. The waiters work very hard to please everybody and nothing is too much trouble, the evenings can get very busy outside when the entertainment is on but your never waiting too long for your drinks. The whole hotel is lovely and we certainly recharged our batteries while we were there, we would definitely go back here and definitely book The Level again. X Collapse

Just returned (22nd September) after a week's stay at this excellent hotel. My initial concerns when twice trying to contact the hotel by email regarding room allocation proved unfounded. It is fair to point out that neither email was responded to and the room we were allocated was exactly where we asked NOT to be placed, but when we asked for change after two uncomfortable nights above the restaurants, lorry delivery bays and near the waste bins (!) we were moved without any issue and with the greatest courtesy by the Reception Staff - even our bags were moved for us to our new room which was EXACTLY what we wanted in a beautiful location (Room 217). This hotel is in a quiet location well outside the main strip that is Fanabe. If you want lively night life this is not the location for you - too far away. However, if you want a comfortable, beautiful hotel with a wonderful warm pool, plenty of loungers, great service from everyone then the Melia Jardines del Teide is the hotel for you. We spent a lot of time researching hotels since this was our first visit to Tenerife. There is of course a huge cross section of accommodation, but I guess you get what you pay for and I cannot fault this hotel. There is the choice of paying significant extra sums of euros to join 'The Level'; however, our experience was that we would not have gained anything from paying the extra. Restaurant service was exactly the same - pool great although 'shared with everyone else rather that being on the upper level but it was simply not an issue Now to food! We are foodies and yes there were occasions when everything wasn't perfect, but come on there was always choice (and plenty of it!), Any one can be picky, but our honest opinion was that the dining room offered excellent value on our All Inclusive deal. The food was freshly prepared, varied and cooked to order for many items - it was certainly beautifully presented and the staff could not have been more helpful. Service was brisk. Bars (including the poolside bar) were excellent and again the staff friendly and accommodating (as with many others a special mention for Ali!); we could not fault them. Evening entertainment was fine with a wide variety of acts - some better than others, but it depends upon your taste. If I had one complaint (but I know there is nothing that the hotel can do) it would be to request some kind of area for smokers and non smokers around the pool and on the terrace whilst enjoying a drink and the evening entertainment. As non smokers our enjoyment was so often marred by people lying next to us, or sitting at a table near us smoking heavily. A final compliment to the hotel. Our departure was not until 1740 so we needed a room for a shower etc before leaving having spent the day by the pool. We were given a complimentary room for 30 minutes that was spotless and freshly cleaned to enable us to prepare for our trip home. Thank you to everyone at the Melia Jardines del Teide for making our week so memorable. Our next holiday is at the Melia Llana in Cape Verde in January - it has much to live up to!!! Collapse

Stayed for a week, what a wonderful hotel and the best hotel staff I've ever encountered. So hard working and always smiling. Fantastic layout with creative architecture built into the hill side. Just avoid the house wine in the restaurant, dreadful!
