As with many services oriented providers, the key differentiator is in their staff. Who wouldn't expect a four-star hotel to offer great facilities? But that would not mean much if it lacks quality staff or just not having enough to serve the number of guests. In this case, as a family of four, I have to say we are very pleased with each and every single attention to detail that the members of staff are putting into our requests and questions. I could think of many people who would deserve to be highlighted for their good work. Amongst those I would speak highly of the Head Cook, Carlos, of Mexican origin who offered, without being asked, a hand-made spicy 'mojo' (local sauce) with fresh ingredients made on the spot! Wow that's what I call customer service. It was delicious, melting nicely with a peak of heat at the end, just perfect topping for your meat! I would also like to thank Juan Carlos from the kids animation team for his energy and fun. It was also great of him for offering to have a look at our daughter while we were ending our dinner...! Amongst the restaurant waitresses, Guayarmina is always making sure you have everything you need and also recommended nice places to go to eat whilst visiting the island close to main attractions (e.g.: Otelo restaurant close to Barranco del Infierno to eat their 'pollo al ajillo' (garlic chicken). As for the hotel facilities, the swimming pool is stunning, a hit with the kids, and the bar / daytime restaurant by the pool offers good and reasonably priced snacks (e.g. eat as you like salad bar for €6,50 and a fresh crunchy pizza, easy with the kids, for about €7,50). The cocktails are good yet a tad small for their price (€8). Knowing you're in Spain where quality alcohol is relatively cheap, the hotel would gain in being more generous with cocktails sizes. We were on half board regime and I think, compared to other hotel experience, that the bottle of wine and water should be included. One piece of advice for improvement would be to offer continuous kids club at least once or twice a week (say from 11:00 to 16:00) to allow parents to visit local markets, shopping or any activity that typically kids get bored with. The beach is not close by but it's only a short 4 minutes drive if you have a car or the hotel also has a daily bus. It's a great hotel for half board or all inclusive as there are not many options nearby; unless you drive. The rooms are spacious enough (we had a large one for the four of us) and the bathroom and terrace are big enough for everyone. Hygiene and cleaning was as expected in a four star hotel. We appreciated the suite of shower gel, shampoo and body cream (which came handy as we had to throw away ours at the airport!) the razor kit was good enough to 'get the job done ';) A big plus might be to add a jacuzzi and spa for the future. Overall it's a great experience and I would not hesitate to recommend it. Collapse

Overall the hotel is very clean, ideally situated and stunning scenery, majority of staff were friendly and obliging then you get to the mosaic restaurant buffet, we had a 10 day stay in the four days we ate in the buffet we gave up as the food was Luke warm just.took our complaint to the guest services who apologised and said she would tell the chefs problem over no following day the food was Luke warm again plus mixed with the attitude of the belligerent staff and fight to find a clean table we gave up and returned to the guest service manager, who tried to convince us that the food could be held at 65 -140degrees this I found hard to believe unless they are working in Fahrenheit leaving food at a dangerous temperature especially if reheated.for the rest of the holiday we ate out although we had paid for all inclusive but we also visited the Italian which is next door and open to all inclusive but shut for 3 day leaving us no where else to eat, it was a miracle the food was hot and some exceptional dishes. I believe it was the same kitchen so you have to ask why they could not have the same standards in the mosaic.. moving on to the bar very good bar staff Rodrigo is an absolute star and makes a cracking pina colada always go to him.. After paying a lot of money to stay all inclusive I would not recommend this to anyone as there are some very good restaurants within walking distance. Collapse

Never been to Adeje before and 32 years since last in Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife so looked forward to a week in the 'new' resort of Costa Adeje. The resort did not disappoint, with a mix of exotic and architecturally splendid hotels and restaurants. Eating out and drinking were very reasonable (our visit was in November) and the weather was superb. The hotel was well equipped with lovely pools and outside gardens all carved out of the natural rock face and the bedrooms on 5 floors were connected by a maze of walkways and lifts. On the face of it a good 4 star hotel with very willing staff and good amenities including Spa and indoor pool. Evening entertainment was very good and varied. However it did have its faults. Check in was the longest I have had at any hotel, mainly due to the male receptionist having a very difficult accent to understand. No wheelchair for disabled guests which in an area which has many steep gradients should surely be attended to. Some of the rooms had terraces which were anything but private. Essential, for us anyway, to book a room with a balcony. However the main problem we had with the hotel was the dining room. It was the nearest thing to a works canteen I have seen for years. Except works canteens don't normally have dozens of pushchairs and children running around making a terrible din. That aside, the standard of food at dinner was not great. Vegetables over-over cooked, some meat dishes almost inedible and the common theme was cold plates and cold food. Why is it not possible in 2016 for hotels to keep food and plates hot? Breakfast was fine with usual good choice. Collapse

This is the slogan of the hotel and they made this come true for us. I especially loved the design of the park with 6 or 7 levels in a tropical garden with many small ways to get up and down, either by stairs or elevator. This makes the park not feel busy at all. Very friendly staff, beautiful pools, fresh prepared food in the buffet and a la carte restaurants. The best beach is Conde del Duque, which is 10 minutes walk from the lower exit at the swimming pool. We loved our stay! Collapse
