Simply, the supportive attitude of the staff, the location that is perfectly suitable to reach any part of Dubai, close also to the airport and to the Dubai World Trade center, makes this hotel the best choice for my requirement. Also, really appreciated the room cleans and huge breakfast choice. Collapse

Had never heard of this HOTEL Before ! On a business trip to Dubai and a search for North Indian food in Zomato, directed me to this Hotel. A little Confused at the Entrance and chance meeting with Ms. Sheetal ( A lady with pleasing personality and charming nature) who guided us to Signature by Sanjeev Kapoor. This is a suggestion to fellow travelers who is gonna book this thinking as a five star. The good think about this hotel is nice ambience with designer tiles and sanitory. This hotel is over hyped and over priced. We stayed at other hotels like Roda Al Murooj in front of Dubai Mall which was way better hotel and that too in 30% less price. This is not meant for a business traveler and no where near to business centre. The hotel has got a pathetic views, you can see undergarments lying on the other residential building terrace. Buffet breakfast has less choice and the lounge has also got very less options. It feels claustophobic at this hotel. And most importsnt thing they cut your electricity supply at 12 and when enquired they say its checkout time. And your access card to your room will also stop working. The staff was rude when i asked her to switch on the electricity and then we packed our bags in very less light. We stayed in a suite where the bed was comfortable and sleep quality was also good. TV units are enclosed in a glass frame which looks good but then there is another layer of glass. will never recommend this hotel rather stay in sheraton which is closeby to Melia and almost of half of the price. Melia Hotel is a hidden gem right in the heart of old part of Dubai. It certainly is one of a kind of experience that delivers when you are least expected. You may not find a grand entrance to this treasure however, once you are inside the hotel, you certainly tend to forget you are right in the heart of a vibrant city where multiculturalism, tolerance and friendly atmosphere takes over and brings you a clam and serene life. Friendly staff all around however, one stood out from the crowd was one Sheetal Gupta that made the difference. Her attitude, suggestions, willingness to understand your requirements and last but not least, deliver them was nothing but exceptional. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is ready and willing to experience life in old side of or original Dubai and yet enjoy a true five star facilities at a stone throw distance from your shopping experience of Bur Dubai and mainly Gold Souq. The boat ride, what they call the "Abra" ride was remarkable experience to remember the smell of diesel engine combined with fresh sea water including the sound of seagulls and the loud engine noise will definitely get stuck in your head. The hotel room was clean and beautifully laid out with spectacular view of sea which is not too far away. Both Room Service and House Keeping staff were friendly and curious to know how our experience were! If it wasn't for Sheetal's persistence, we may not have chosen this hotel at all... I would suggest anyone visiting Dubai to try this hotel if you want the best of both worlds; luxury and true Dubai lifestyle... Collapse

I've written about the Melia Dubai on previous occasions and each time i do so, i have a slightly different view point on it. Value for money, this is a very good hotel. its not in the best location but for a few days or even a business trip, fairly close to the airport, it will tick most of the boxes. My worst gripe is variety and 'quality' of raw materials as far as food/restaurants are concerned- processed meats etc... but i am sure this is a management decision, not the chefs! Best are probably rooms and warmth and helpfulness of the staff. For me, this hotel works well. Wifi is free and good also. On a personal level, there are a few staff members that really excel and should be noted. Behind the scenes, and in charge of corporate sales, Victoria's sense of belonging and pride of the brand is second to none - a superb asset as is Ritika, the Front office Supervisor. Attention to detail is excellent. Very professional person. Liliyan, whom i met for the first time on my last visit was just exceptionally warm and pleasant also. Overall, its a good hotel but with a little extra snese of direction from top management could be better. Collapse
