My daughter and I visited Riad Star in September and had the most wonderful experience. The area around the riad is best described as chaotic, but once through the doors of the riad, it is a beautiful calm friendly place. The staff were amazing. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble and there was always a welcome smile when we returned from our wanderings. Aziz in particular was so friendly and helpful at all times of the day and just made everything so easy for us. Our room was really comfortable and clean with everything we needed and we regularly sought sanctuary on the roof terrace at the end of the day. It was just lovely to sit up there with our mint tea and listen to the call to prayer from all around us. If you ever consider visiting Marrakech, we would 100% recommend Riad Star. Collapse

My sister and I stayed at Riad Star and were humbled by the friendliness and helpful ness of the staff as well as the beauty of the architecture and design of our hotel. We were greeted at the airport by a pleasant english speaking young man who explained the origins of the city. We were then greeted by the charming Heecham who took our bags and guided us through the busy winding streets to our hotel. On entering we smelt the aroma of jasmin and orange and we were offerred a refreshing mint tea which was served ceremoniously with delicious almond cookies. Our rooms were fabulously glamorous and luxuriously comfortable. We opted for interconnecting rooms. They had kaftans to wear and lounge around in. The food was exquisite-we want to return in May 2017 for a cookery school lesson which aparently starts in November this year. The terrace deserves special mention as i think it gives about the best view of anyof the hotels as it is perfectly placed in the centre and so you can see mountains, treess, city scape and hear the faint noise of the square entertainment in the distance. Thanks so much for your welcome and care and attention to all the little details for us. ;) Collapse

They gave me a local mobile to keep for the days i spent there, and to call them overtime i arrived after a night out or lost which was brilliant. As anyone visiting marrakech will know, getting lost in the medina is common. I love the theme of josephine baker throughout, nd we had so much fun trying on her outfits Collapse

This is a great location with wonderful history (formerly the home of Josephine Baker). The staff were outstanding to work with, both in planning the trip via email with their London staff, as well as onsite. They provided everything we asked for - or were happy to try to. They arranged a car service to drive us from Casablanca airport to the hotel (although there was some confusion and we were delayed about an hour). They had a very nice greeting and orientation upon arrival, including tea and snacks. They really made us feel welcome. A great and useful benefit was the use of a local cell phone to keep in contact with them. We used it late one night when we were lost - and a young man came right away to get us and guide us back. It was a life saver. The location was great, actually a very easy and convenient walk to the main square. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend the Star. Collapse
