Great apartment at a great value

Spacious apartment at a great price. Immaculate...Quiet....Perfect. The only issue was construction outside the apartment that prevented some drivers from getting nearby. Otherwise everything was really great.

I stayed there with my fiance for valentine’s day as we had a booking in a restuarant in central London. The location is super as you have a few tube stations near, st paul cathedral and a few supermarkets. The staff was friendly and super helpful at the check in. Apartments are super and they have everything you need. Towels, toiletries, fully equipped kitchen if u feel like cooking. Negative parts are tube noise on the lower floors and issues with hot water. If u want to avoid the tune noise ask a higher floor at check in, and if u have issues with hot water just ask the reception. Nicolai was very helpful and fixed it for us in minutes. Collapse

It’s sad to be writing this review Good points first Great accommodation, fab location, clean and reasonably priced. But the check in was not good In fact the most stressful check in I have ever had Which is a great shame, because like I said a great apartment I am writing this review in the hope you can act on this and get your act together It’s a shame to ruin something that could be great We arrived and tried to check in for a 3 night pre booked stay I had a Groupon invoice that showed a reference number and clearly showed we had booked and pre paid. Reception advised this wasn’t the right reference, but agreed I had clearly paid and reserved We were then advised there was no booking for us and without the correct ref unable to check us in. I then spent a very stressful hour and half on the phone to Groupon and trying to sort with receptionist. Groupon were insisting they had provided correct stuff and that th3 details on my phone were sufficient client Receptionist insisted I needed an email that should have come from Groupon, which I didn’t have I hadn’t received an email But I did have an invoice and proof of booking and payment Eventually the receptionist rang her head office quoting the reference and they agreed we had a booking and she eventually checked us in The most annoying bit was the receptionist said this happens with Groupon If this is the case why didn’t she simply ring head office straight away Before stressing us out In addition on checking we were told we needed photo ID No problem but paperwork we had received advised ID in form of card booking on Which I had brought... if I’d been told I needed photo ID I would have brought But no photo ID brought as this wasn’t on the paperwork received Because we were staying in England and live in England we hadn’t brought our passport Receptionist advised this was a very odd thing British people do At this point my stress levels were high I advised sorry I thought we were in England, so how can acting Britain be strange After checking I could see this is stipulated on the contract But this wasn’t received until checking My thoughts are update booking process to clearly show what required Train your receptionist to deal with issues better Her behaviour made our initial experience very stressful This could have been avoided My experience I arriv3d at the apartment showed the lady at reception my bookin. Apartment great having read some reviews. Very clean and small things damaged when going in but nothing to detriment the stay. It is above Mansion House but you get used to the tubes fairly quickly and over all very good. The number of light switches was very odd and my fridge/dishwasher etc didn’t work (probably just me being a bit thick). Would have preferred that the fridge etc was just on all the time when you go in. Especially with the water bottles in when I came in but as I was out most of the time anyway it didn’t affect my stay at all really. Very comfortable, and for the price and amenities compared to the box hotel rooms around the rest of London I thought it was brilliant. Definitely will stay here/another Marlin location again. Staff were super friendly and very helpful. Collapse

The accommodation is easy to find in a great location, pubs and Resturant within easy walking, as well as a Tesco. Our room was clean, everything worked, great hot water, and the staff could not have more helpful when one of us became ill, they organized a taxi and sent us to the most appropriate hospital. Am looking forward to staying there again when we go to London as the tube was so close. Felt safe as houses. Collapse
