Came here last July and loved it so much we came back for 2weeks and are currently on holiday here . Just want to say that it has improved even since our last visit. The food is so much better lots more choices. Breakfast is good with lots of variety and you won't come away hungry. Even added this year your own pancakes maker brilliant. Evening meals are also plenty to choose from. There have also been upgrades to the furnishings, which gives it a more modern feel. This hotel is in the best spot in Korcula with the most amazing views from the pool over the old town and across to Orebic. It's only a short 10minutes walk to the Old town and 5minutes to the bus station where there are good services to the rest of the Island. Ferry trips to Dubrovnik and Split every day. We have been coming to Croatia for many years and think Korcula is the best holiday destination. We have also stayed in a variety of 4 and 5 star hotels but none can compare with the friendliness of the staff at Marko Polo. It may not be 5star accommodation or food but the position and family feel you get in this hotel more than makes up for the lack of fancy show cooking and posh poolside beds etc. This hotel has come in for some negative criticism , which in my opinion is not justified. The staff are more than happy to make sure you have what you want if there is something you are not happy with. Unlike a lot of the big hotels who to them you are just a number. We stayed in Roving in Istria in June in a much more modern huge hotel but we still prefer Marko Polo and am already planning to return next year. Can't say more than that. You won't be disappointed if you book a stay here. This is a great value hotel. Collapse

We absolutely loved our stay in the Marko Polo hotel in Korcula. Every single staff member we encountered was so friendly and helpful, particularly Ana who was behind the reception desk when we arrived and Stipe who was with Ana when we checked out (Sat 23 - Mon 25 Sep). Unfortunately I did not catch the restaurant managers name but his service was exceptional. Ana informed him of my dietary requirements when we arrived and he took me through all the food choices to let me know what was suitable for me to eat - and it was all delicious! He remembered me the next evening and did exactly the same again without me needing to ask. The hotel itself is a wonderful place to stay anyway but it is the fantastic service that makes it stand out. Collapse
The most beautiful town but average hotel

Korkula is a jewel of an island , however accomodation with a pool is sparse, hence we chose this hotel. It is in a great location but needs updated and just a bit of money spent to create a beautiful hotel to take advantage of a stunning location.

The hotel Marko Polo on Korcula boasts an extremely professional staff, along with amenities including a bar, restaurant, a spa, a fitness center, a hairdresser, free internet. The location of this hotel could not be bettered. We stayed two weeks. The location is good, just an easy ten minute walk into the beautiful Old Town of Korcula, so it's great if you want to go out for a meal, wander through the old town, browse the shops or catch ferries or water taxis.and it's hard to beat the gorgeous views from the terrace at the hotel. Everyone was very friendly and helpful-especially those who worked in the indoor bar and made us some of the best coffees we had on holiday as also Prosek drings! The rooms are recently partly modernised and clean , lots of space, good bathrooms with window. Worth booking a balcony and seaview as an extra treat as the view is amazing as the sea in Croatia is the best. The design of the hotel itself is good and relaxing-all the things you need on holiday, parking spaces, good bars (indoor and outdoor), nice pools with sun beds , beach area and clean and great sea. Take swim shoes as most beaches are hard on the feet. Hotel personal by check in/out were professional/nice/we received warm welcome and check in/out went it in easy and nice atmosfere. Definitely would recommend the Marco Polo hotel and we hope to be back again and again… Milena Marko Polo hotel has a lovely location, peaceful, relaxing, and stunning views of the sea, mountains and old town, marine. Breakfasts were good, always plenty of choice and good quality, the dishes were constantly being refreshed from the kitchen. We ate in the hotel for dinner a few times and the food was good, with plenty of choice, Collapse
