We stopped 25 october for 4 nights booked through althams of wakefield. We flew on a monarch plane arrived 10.30 in the evening only 31 on the plane but everything seemed to be going so slow like the setting off from leeds bradford airport and the transfer was very slow at that time of day you just want to get there. We were left a cold snack in the restaurant which was at best fair. The bar stays open till 12 which was a bonus. On our return we were picked up by our coach for our transfer to the airport which is probably 10 miles away 4 1/2 hours before were due to fly that was ridiculous. Now for the middle bit the holiday we were here same time last year this year was way better it was busier with entertainment on every evening and warm enough to sit out each night.Weather was warm during the day so this does help. The breakfast was ok dinner was fair but the evening meal was very good and a microwave was available if requred. All staff were very good and helpful. As a 4 star hotel why do you have to pay for wifi and safety deposits to keep people coming to this hotel make it free as the safe is already in the room and stop charging extra for newspapers and crossing the price out.The pools are excellent especially for the kids. The animation team seemed a good set with low key things going on through the day.Yes the chaurs were a bit grotty in the dining room and the rooms are a bit basic (ask for pool view)but we were out and about so we dont think a lavish room was needed then again if the weather was poor then it may cause concern. The hotel is very central and only a few minutes walk from 2 good beaches.Tax was 13 euros for us two for four nights plus the holiday was150 dearer than last year plus safety deposit and wifi papers overcharging people wont be able to afford this hotel so think to the future and look after you future guests and provide wifi and boxes free of charge and provide water and milk daily in the rooms. Stayed here last 2 weeks in October, with 2 kids (aged 5 and 9). We normally stay at Thomson Super Family resorts but decided to give this hotel a try, by comparison this falls short however when you take into consideration the price difference, this then becomes a viable option. After what must have been a long season the in house entertainment team (Damien,Sally and Steve) were exceptional and are a credit to the hotel, this can also be said for the Thomas Cook kids club to the extent that both my kids didn't want to leave the hotel for the duration of the holiday as wanted to participate in all the ongoing activities. Hotel in general was clean and all staff were very friendly, rooms for a family of 4 were on the small side, however this did not cause any issues, food was reasonable (Very good first week, but as the hotel was closing for the season at the end of the second week you could tell a difference). No problem with the hill to Palma Nova (when we finally persuaded the kids to leave the hotel) which is only 5 mins walk to the beach. No problems with either sun beds or queues at the bar for drinks, however can imagine this being more of an issue in summer holidays (although after taking to the staff they have plans to add a sun terrace, which should rectify the problems). In summary would have no issue in returning or recommending this hotel, based upon our stay. Collapse

This hotel is supposed to be 4 star not like any 4 star I have been too before, more like a cheep 3 star hotel in Spain. travelled with partner and Five year old. good points , pools great for Kids son loved the small pool with slides and splashing bucket, next to a small park too so they can play on there when wanting a break from pool. the hotel was clean and staff were friendly, however didn't find any that were over welcoming. Food was of very low standard, many said breakfast was best meal but I would disagree bacon burnt sausage cheap and nasty beans runny eggs ok if you had boiled. fresh bread was nice and the bit of fruit. me and my five year old never really ate much at breakfast not appealing at all. dinner was the worst meal of the day most days we left it and resumed to the pool snacks, these were much the same day in day out but at lease the son ate pasta or chips or pizza , this I must say was the same for dinner in kids bit, dinner had more variety however potatoes always hard and cold chips burnt and poor , meat mostly over cooked any chops or steak cooked like rubber, best food were the pies or the chili one night. partner did fill up on pate and bread that was ok. overall I felt as if the hotel was out to make as much profit as possible and had no concerns with customer satisfaction as the season was almost over and they were changing names. extras to pay for : Water!!, Wi fi, safe, loads of things to temp Kids Pool table Machines etc. Photos of acts were a minimum of 20 euros not even a choice if you wanted less? face paints , tee shirts , even stopped going in to dinner one night so photos could be taken, guess what for fridge magnets or key rings , wasn't even told reason for pictures till exiting. Drinks were only given in very cheap plastic cups at all times not just around the pool which I could have accepted. No tea and coffee or milk in rooms however did have a kettle. Kids animation team were ok but not as pleasant as I have experienced at other resorts, more interested in telling the children what not to do rather than engaging with them. on a whole was very glad we had only booked for a week would have dreaded a fortnight there. however the location was great for both beaches Palma and Magaluf. wouldn't put me off Majorca just the hotel. We spent a week here end of July a family of 8 with 2 children. It was a great holiday. The only issue we had was sun beds. But from the reviews we expected it. Food was good. We had a brilliant time together.
