I have written a full extensive review after our last visit last year, so please look at that for full details. I just wanted to post another review because it's nice to return and see that none of the previous standards that were set have been dropped or compromised, the staff are still great, again it was towards the end of the season and again the staff commitment is still top notch and the evening entertainment and end of season show by Steve, Sally and the gang was great. I stayed here for a week in October. Little did I realise it was Scotland's half term! The hotel was full of children. And whilst this wouldn't usually bother me too much the noise levels and their behaviour was shocking. Okay so the hotel, bad bits first. The pools get hardly any sunshine but this may have been due to the time of year. The rooms have paper thin walls. You can happily listen to the television on volume level 2 but unfortunately my neighbours had it up so loud I couldn't hear what I was watching and couldn't sleep either. If it rains there seem to be over flow pipes that drip rain onto the balcony railings and cause quite a racket. Simple solution, wrap a towel around the offending railing to dull the noise. The location is on a hill and it is quite steep. The good bits. The food was okay, nothing amazing but I didn't go hungry and I am quite fussy. The drinks were of a good standard. They have all the international brands lined up on the wall and when you ask for your order they use a local equivalent. I didn't find this a problem. The staff were very friendly and always smiling. The location is great despite the hill. Palmanova beach is a 2 minute walk away. And there are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby too. The kettle in the room was most welcome. There is a hairdryer in the bathroom. And a shower over the bath. Lots of hot water. The beds are very comfortable and the unusual pillows (bolster style) were very nice too. I believe you have to pay for the safety deposit box but I didn't use mine and had no problems with my belongings. There is also a fridge in the room. The transfer from the airport is only 25 minutes. There are several bus stops in the town. Going to Palma city is a must. The Thomas Cook rep was in the hotel 6 out of 7 days, even eating there most days. I cannot comment on the entertainment as I went out of an evening. The decor could do with a refresh but I understand they are undergoing rebranding for next season. Be prepared for a lot of noise from the hallways at night, shouting, screaming and doors banging. Mostly children I hasten to add. Collapse

This hotel looks lovely on the outside however the rooms and facilities are very very dated. Room for 4 was beds all pushed together leaving very little space in the room. Our room had a leak from upstairs this was dealt with accordingly! The entertainment team especially sally work very very hard all day long! The major downside for me was the restaurant I found it too slow at clearing the tables and usually found myself wandering around looking for a table with 2 kids in tow! For me I didn't like the food except for the gala night where the food was the best it had been all week. The location of this hotel is ideal as it's situated between magaluff and palma nova however I imagine in the summer this would be quite noisy! For me I couldn't wait to get home just to sleep as other guests would be rather noisy and shouting down the corridors or being rather loud in their rooms till the early hours as the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything! I'd love to return to this hotel but only if it was updated to bring it to the 4 * quality it should be! Collapse

Stayed here from 28th September to the 12 October and I loved this hotel there is alot of negative comments about this hotel but there is always a great selection of food reception staff are great rooms are kept clean and are spacey there was always free sunbeds through out the day and someone said on here the rooms are too small and they had to go home they were clearly just being picky as they could have got a family room wich is 2 rooms in 1 not the cramped space they paid for then moaned at when we booked that room we only paid an extra 20 euros a day and there was lots of space for a family of 6 also someone on here said this hotel was like a benefits hotel and this also isn't true just someone being picky and stuck up because they didn't make the right choice for them this is a FAMILY hotel it always has been and always will I love it here Collapse

Small, old-fashioned and basic room. If you're traveling as a family, definitely do not book a twin room. You will have 4 beds all pushed next to each other with very little floor space. Very noisy - getting to sleep was not easy. Food absolutely shocking. Red wine was chilled and rancid! Sun beds - we never managed to get one. We had such a poor experience we paid to come home after 4 days. We'd paid almost £4K for this holiday, our first in years and were bitterly disappointed. Collapse
