Marconfort Beach Club 4 * is located on the Beach Front in the Playamar Area, only 5 minutes away from Malaga International Airport (AGP) and just 2.5km from Torremolinos Centre. This All Inclusive Hotel has a total of 260 rooms situated on the beautiful “Lido Beach”. It’s a unique hotel to be enjoyed by couples and families and has recently been refurbished. Hotel facilities include a buffet restaurant and snack bar, outdoor and indoor swimming pools, a full entertainment program suitable for the entire family including table tennis, games room, bicycles, mini-golf & pool tables. There is also a children’s playground and pool area, 2 bars, free WIFI in common areas, a souvenir shop, a sauna (only available in winter) and a fully equipped gym. Arriving at the hotel our party of 4 adults and 4 children were impressed. The lobby was nice, rooms basic but more than adequate, food very good with lots of choice at all meal times, pools great for the kids but outside pools cold at this time of year. Entertainment various each night. We had read the other reviews and could have transferred to another hotel but decided that it couldn't be as stated. Everything was great at first and we were all thinking what the fuss was about the hotel was spotless, but on the 3rd day in the early hours 1 of our party was violently sick and also had diarrhoea and missed the next 24hrs of her holiday. The next day I myself came down with this BUG! Exorcist style vomiting and diarrhoea, I still have the latter 2 days later even after taking Imodium. Speaking to others at the Hotel, loads of people have had this BUG during our stay, I would say at least a third of the hotel has had it to various levels. Reporting it is unless as they really don't care and the blonde English rep needs sacking, full of excuse after excuse. We are just glad touch wood our young children have not been affected, we have 2 days left of our holiday with 2 adults missing 24 / 36 hours of it. If you can transfer your hotel my advice is to do it ASAP. Collapse

We have just arrived back from this hotel today and thought I must submit my review..this hotel was fantastic..The staff catered for our needs with perfection as we and other Indian families came there to stay as we had a few days for religious reasons..thank u so much for bending over back wards for providing a vegetarian variety...And as we left every morning around 7 u also opened ur canteen to us for breakfast..we cannot thank you enough..I don't seem to understand where all the sickness rumours came from as we are all back home perfectly healthy..We would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Spain for business or .Family holidays.. We been there for a week ( 2 child, 2 adult ) on Easter time. 1, We was very disappointed because our first day ( after we arrived ) when we went to the pool, someone came to our room and took one unopened pocket cigarette from my HANDBAG!!! I did reported this ( I guessing she was a deputy Manager ) and she said why we don t use the safe! My questions : Honestly anyone put the cigarette to the safe in your room? To know someone came to our room and tapered into my bag is not a nice thing! 2, They were not cleaned our room the first two days. I had to ask the housekeeper to clean our bin because after two days it was full. After this, the cleaners came every single day. Reception and Restaurant need more staff! Poor service because for example at the reception one time only one person worked and I did account 21! guest excepted to check in or inquire. ( 20 or 21 of April ) The restaurant staff worked too much and because they did work a lot, had no time to be friendly with the customers, they worked as a factory. I had a feel I'm going to work with them just to make it better for them. Maybe next time. Something positive : The hotel is very nice ( Reception area , outside the pool ) Good locations, close to the beach. Plenty of choice of food. Good drinks and the entertainment was great. BEA and DANY was fabulous with the kids. Me and my family very enjoyed all the game. I hope they get something from the managers because only this to person did smile and have been friendly with everyone all the time. I did see both of them worked with love. Bar staffs ( entertainment area ) also was great too. Sorry I cant remember any name. Cocktails was very yummy. Collapse

My wife and I have been to 20 all inclusive hotels over the last 7 years so we are doing this review as experienced in this type of holiday. We have been to the MBCH many times but on our last visit in March 2017 we found that the standards have dropped and the dreaded bug was very much in evidence. The quality of meat has gone down and a majority of the food is overcooked.Things like the freshly squeezed fruit juices,french bread batons,good quality cheesecakes and kebab meat have all gone. The bedrooms and bathrooms are looking very tired and the balcony above our room was missing large chunks of concrete from its underside.Bedroom furniture is very dated and worn out. On to the "bug" both my wife and I have suffered on many of our visits but with the help of stoperan,drinking lots of water and eating very little it has only lasted around 20 hours. However on our last visit my wife was incapacitated for 5 days and upon return to the UK another 5 days.It appears that the "bug" is mutating.Never before in any of the 20 all inclusive hotels that we have stayed in have we experienced anything like this.For the hotel management to imply its over indulging is an insult. Standards have dropped maybe because new tour operators seem to be filling the hotel and the Spanish in the main are not at the MBCH in their usual numbers. This is such a shame as the staff are the best we have come across in any of the hotels we have visited.I do not think we will be visiting again unless we see no reviews about the "bug" for at least 6 months. Maybe the only solution is closing down for a complete refit. I see that other regular visitors are going to stay away as well. Collapse
