Myself and my partner stayed here the first week in April and had a lovely time. The hotel was brilliant value for the money we paid. The room was spacious, clean and modern and the beds comfortable. We tended to eat late in the restaurant and although still busy we managed to get a table. At the beginning of the week the breakfast catered more for the Spanish guests but by the end of our stay when more English guests arrived we had bacon, sausage egg etc. The evening meal was delicious with a selection of hot dishes as well as a salad bar. I was particularly impressed with the cooking station that offered different fresh fish or meat cooked in front of you. The desserts were the usual sponge, mousse or ice cream. The only thing I think needed improvement was the labelling, not a problem for us but vegetarians may run into difficulty. We stayed half board but beer, wine and soft drinks are included in your evening meal. It was the beginning of the season so the bay was quiet with only a handful of shops and bars open and the boat taxi into San Antonio wasn't running yet. There is no bus from the Bay directly to the airport, something to be aware of if you're travelling at the beginning of the season, you have to go into San Antonio or Ibiza town and change to get another bus to the airport. We decided to get taxi's 31 Euros from the airport to the hotel but only 26 euro on the return journey. We paid less then £25 each per day for bed, breakfast and evening meal and it was worth every penny. Collapse

We actually went on the 1st of April for my girlfriends birthday, yes that really is her birthday, but what we didn't expect was the April fools joke theme to continue right through until monday April 3rd when we had finished our short break. I really don't want to waste to much breath on this place so I am going to bullet point my review. 1.restauarant staff extremely rude. 2. Got asked to leave the restaurant table while we still had drinks on the table. 3. constantly checking up that we were not exceeding our half board status and made to que at reception to get our dinner tickets everyday we were there. 4. Lack of any choice when it came to the food offering. No consideration for English guests tastes. 5. A boiled egg the only hot choice for breakfast on the 2nd morning. 6. The pillows and beds offered no comfort whatsoever in the room and I was unable to enjoy a good night's sleep on holiday. A soft gutless pillow that had seen better days was just awful.. 7. The pools were not heated and had not been cleaned properly. In both Mar amantis 1 and Mar amantis 2. Bits of leaf and vegetation was floating about in all pools and both were freezing. 8. Did I mention never again? Something has gone wrong at this hotel as we had visited it in may of the previous year and although not 5 star it made enough of an impression to give me and my girlfriend reason to re book again. The staff looked totally demoralised and de motivated and these were mostly the same staff that had made our experience a good one before. I fear that things will not bode well for the hotel once the season gets going as they can't get things right in early season how on earth will they pull it off when it's busy. The management or directors of this company should jump on the next plane to the UK and experience what British hospitality is all about and what people readily get at home and then rethink there attitude. My partner and I stayed here the first weekend of April for my birthday. We originally stayed here last summer and had a good experience. I emailed the hotel in advance asking to be in mar amantis one over looking the bay but got no reply. On arrival we were advised Mar amantis one was full and we were across the road in mar amantis two. At Mar amantis two the reception was helpful and our room was ready. We were half board and advised we could swap our evening meal for lunch if we wanted. We decided we would have lunch that day as it was my birthday and planned to dine out in the evening. Our room was on the second floor over looking a road. The room was basic but clean. Uncomfortable beds and only one pillow. We had a key to our room and I felt it would be easy to break in as the room doors were flimsy. I definitely preferred mar amantis one. Lunch was basic hardly any choice and full of Spanish guests. A rude jobs worth restaurant supervisor approached us asking for our meal card and snatched it off us advising us as we had lunch we would not be getting dinner which we were aware but he wasn't very polite. Breakfast the next day was non existent. Cold ham, cheese bread jam and a boiled egg. Definitely not catering for English guests we had breakfast out both days. The evening meal was exactly the same, no choice cold and basic. We had just finished dessert and still had a drink on the table and a waiter approached us cleared the table and asked us to leave because he had a queue of people waiting. We were both gobsmacked. Complete rudeness and never experienced anything like this before. We complained to reception but they looked just as fed up and frustrated. Pools were cold and dirty. The reception toilets in Mar amantis one were also dirty. We paid 30Euro's for a late check out as we had a late flight home. Overall very disappointed as we originally had a good experience last year. Not a good start to the season and from the behaviour of the staff i can't see it getting any better. Collapse

I have been to this hotel 5 times, 3 times i loved it, past 2 year it has been terrible .. the electricity went on fire leaving us with no power or water. The security guards come banging on our doors " saying making to much noise" when we were quiet they then opened our door with keys when we were all asleep and insisted we were still making to much noise. Security guard followed us up to our rooms every night. I think they were getting our rooms mixed up with the actual ones making the noise but wouldnt listen and then we ended up getting 2 written warnings. For the 6th year of visiting ibiza we have booked somewhere else as this hotel as put us off now because of staff. Collapse
