Travelled early June 2017 on a stag do with large group of lads age range between 20 - 40. The staff were very friendly. Allowed us to check in when we arrived at 11:30am. We were put in Mar Amantis II which is basic but decent enough. The pools are a decent size and plenty of sun beds. The hotel can be loud on a night but this is the party capital of the world so what do you expect. Food was average but edible and there are a variety of drinks to chose from and the bar is open until 11pm. We spent the nights sitting at Mar Amantis I overlooking San Antonio Bay enjoying the view and music then taxi to West End (approx 10 euro) Collapse

On arriving at this apart hotel it soon became apparent it is not suitable for people with any type of disability first no disabled toilets in reception, then we was told there was room with4 steps up to the room I could just manage ok told that room would not be ready until 2 that's fine went of got drink! On arrival back to reception was told no room and would have to check in over road this after 2 half hour wait! Of over the road we went with are two year old gradaughter and me in need of sum medication to help with my breathing problems to be told they have no disabled rooms of any type (joke) we could not even get the pram into lift the manger came after a argument with the deputy manager a lady who would not let me talk she just spoke over me( rude ) the manager told us that he would move us to near by hotel bergantan great hotel stayed before but could not get in.now after 5 hrs waiting we decided to take room in this hell hole block2 went up to room opened door to the vile smell of smoke( it's against the law in the E.U to smoke in hotel rooms why has the maid not reported this to manger? So went down to complain yet again was told to open door and cleaner would be up to room and spray air refresher ( that will do my asthmer a very nicely thanks deputy manger) after more messing about they did find me a room( thanks hotel management ) can all so add there is no smoke detectors in the rooms and plans of escape no fire extinguishers clearly marked so old infirm disabled in any form do NOT go to this hotel they do not CARE !!!!! First time in this hotel, the wife and I for one week Had to wait about at check in as we had an early flight but we're given are bands so no big deal really Are room was basic but clean an maids were in daily so couldn't fault that We were in the beach side one so busy for sunbeds in the morning but plenty of room over the road at the sister hotel Food was typical buffet choice an not the biggest selection but still enough to choose from an as always when abroad, salads were cracking NOW my one gripe , was going to pay for an upgrade as I do at there other hotel the bergatine which is just down the road but was fully booked so couldn't get in,any how the upgrade at this hotel gives u a better room which to be honest isn't the main reason why we always upgrade as we like the chill out areas ,now at this hotel you are not allowed into that area which is reserved for German guests only, they used to do this at the bergatine but stopped it an all upgraded guests are allowed in all areas, which seen as this is in the same hotel chain, you need to follow suite In the bergatine you get the rooftop terrace, the chill out garden an also an extra pool as well as an early check in and better room,in the mar amantis you just get a better room,I know this isn't what bothers everybody as you may not upgrade but this bothered me an was glad I didn't pay the extra €140 euros if one had been available For the money it's good value to be honest an that was my only gripe but think will be back at the bergatine next year Collapse

Booked this hotel last minute (literally 2 days before we flew!) last year through Thomas Cook. Upon arrival we went to the larger hotel who had no sign of our booking so advised us to go over the road to the other hotel... upon arrival there, same story, the hotel had absolutely no record of our booking. As it was late on a Sunday we could not ring Thomas Cook to see what had happened but the hotel were fantastic, they immediately sorted us a room and wristbands for food and promised they would sort it. Our first time going All-Inclusive so we were unsure what we'd get, but the food was absolutely fine, as a veggie I had adequate options every day and every meal. Drinks are great too and all the serving staff seemed friendly enough. The hotel has two sites, directly opposite each other and the meals are in one of the hotels (the one on the seafront).. we were put in the other site which had a larger pool and seemed more family friendly. The distance between the sites is literally a few feet so not a long walk at all. Room wise our room was basic but had everything we needed. Couple of english channels but who goes on holiday to watch TV? Sheets changed daily. There were two unexpected fire drils in the middle of the night whilst we were there which were annoying and we had no apology. Staff said it was a 'technical error' so not really their fault but annoying none the less! Fab location, easy to walk round to the main part of the bay (and further), as we went out of season it was like a ghost town but we quite liked it! I imagine in season it's much busier. Pools were clean, basic but clean and plenty of sunbeds. Entertainment was also better than expected, the animation team seemed to always be doing activities and getting kids involved (we went in the Oct half term so lots of children around!). We weren't sure what to expect from this hotel but we were pleasantly surprised - great staff, adequate food and great location. Obviously not 5 star luxury but good enough. Collapse
