I am utterly disgusted at the lack of service and treatment i recieved at this Hotel, after booking a family room for the sole purpose that we had an early morning Flight, we booked a morning call at 4.30am and a Taxi in our name for 5am. The hotel not only failed to carry out the morning call which meant we over slept they gave our taxi in our name to another guest without call our room leaving it impossible to catch our flight to Austria. Imaging your holiday starting with two upset children and the worry that we might not get another flight. If that wasnt bad enough they then made not attemp to rectify or compensate us for the mistake, once we had managed to book another flight to the cost of £260 we had to get to Birmingham from Manchester by Taxi a further £198. This so called system error although they still didnt alert us when our Taxi arrived either cost me a further £458 or lose the entire cost of our Holiday and not go. Rather serious mistake i would say and no formal appology. Watch out any future guests it could spoil your holiday, and forgive me if i am wrong but tge while purpose of the airport located hotels is exactly this. Collapse

Just returned from a 2 night stay here. Never again would I stay. I'm not at all racist but there were about 30 travellers there all the time we were there and by good you knew all about it. They were so loud and arrogant and demanding. The children completely ran riot screaming through out the hotel. They broke the computer and keyboard. Had no respect for anyone or anything. My kids are 9&7 and never ever would I let them behave like it. To add insult to injury though was that we learned that they are there regularly. Seemingly "Big spenders". Otherwise our room was fine. Breakfast was fine but the manager was permanently stressed and flapping. They weren't equipped to deal with the amount of people. Not having enough hot food ready etc. The staff are the saddest looking bunch of people I ever saw. Especially on the rest site do. That manager had everyone nervous and on edge including me. As old Trafford season ticket holders we will never stay here again or recommend anyone to either. Collapse

Stayed here for 1 night and it was a great hotel, great facilities and great staff too. Room: the room was very very nice. The room had everything you needed, good TV with good choices of channels, hair dryer (although didn't work), tea, coffee, biscuits, toiletries etc. The beds were very comfy and got a great nights sleep. Gym & spa: I got the chance to use the gym & spa facilities which I was very impressed with. The pool is a good size, they also have steam room, sauna and even a cold plunge. The sauna has a TV in it which is great. Food/breakfast: breakfast had everything you need and you could also get omelette made for you which was very good of them. Had the usual full English, pastries, cereals etc. The staff were very kind and friendly and sorted everything we needed. Overall a great hotel with great spa facilities and good food. If I was travelling from Manchester airport then would definitely recommend this hotel which is very nicely presented. Collapse

Location: it was easy to find the hotel using the Satnav. The hotel is actually quite far from the airport given that it calls itself an airport hotel. Nor does the hotel have an airport shuttle. Check in: fast, friendly and efficient. No complaints at all. Room: we had a room on the second floor (first floor in UK terminology) overlooking a courtyard. It looks like it used to be a motel style place where you entered the room from the outside but the doors have been blocked off. It would actually have been nice if the doors from the rooms leading outside had been kept and the landings had been made into balconies. The room itself was fine but fairly small. It contained everything you expect as did the bathroom. The bed was far too firm for my liking. I've stayed at other Marriott properties in the UK and those bad had pillow top mattress whereas this hotel had a basic uncomfortable sprung mattress without a topper. Wifi: we had a good signal and the speed was fine for complementary wifi. Breakfast: the breakfast area is served in the restaurant and it is small! The selection of foods available was limited. It is not on par with e.g. a breakfast at Hilton hotels. The breakfast was disappointing. Overall: this is an okay hotel but it falls short of other Marriott hotels we have stayed at. Would I stay again? Maybe, if the price was right. Collapse
