Great hotel in a good location, just a 10 min stroll to get to the attractions, cathedral, Alcazaba fortress, museums. The reception was very friendly and helpful. The room, on the first floor, was small and very dark, not enough light from outside or inside, but quiet. Bathroom was elegant, very large, fully equipped. We have tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Everywhere was clean. Lovely views of the city from the pool/bar area in the evening. The breakfast and dinner at the hotel were very good, buffet style, plenty of choice. Collapse

Booked this via a city break website after checking out reviews. Communication with the hotel beforehand was good and all the staff helpful. We had a twin room in the 2nd floor. Very good size with a very large bathroom, mini toiletries included. Beds comfortable. Can't comment on the breakfast as we didn't have any but we did eat lunch in the pool bar on the 6th floor which was good. The pool is a small plunge pool which was freezing. Lots of sun beds and towels available at reception. The terrace is very nice to sit in and relax and the bar is open till 1am. The hotel is in a perfect spot for the city, shops, restaurants. We had a great time here and would definitely stay here again. Collapse

Return visit to this hotel but think probably last visit to this particular hotel as room we got this time was so, so small , it was cave-like and the view was not good. This was disappointing as they knew we were returning customers so would have thought may have made an effort and 'rewarded' our loyalty plus we requested a quiet HIGH floor room but got allocated a room on the 2nd floor at the back of the hotel but this was noisy as cars back and forth and bottles being emptied from a skip plus children seemed to play out at the back of our hotel. The bathroom was nice and spacious but out of proportion to the room, in fact I think it was bigger than the bedroom !!! Shower head didn't run properly and free toiletries smelled awful, really cheap sickly smell. After reading previous reviews about money been stolen from the room safes we dare not leave our money in our safe so had to carry it with us every day which is not ideal , we also noted several signs dotted about hotel stating that they take no responsibility of any property or cash going missing...this set alarm bells ringing ! The corridors have been decorated since last visited and gone from 1980's peach to 1980's black and red decor !! ...seems a shame as potential to bring it up date and make more stylish. Reception staff all seemed pleasant and helpful and location is very good though just near old town. Collapse

This hotel is ideally placed just off the main Old Town area of Malaga. It is just a short 5 minute walk in to the main town square area where all the bars and restaurants are. The beach and harbour front is a bit of a walk but if your on a relaxing holiday this isn't a problem (although it took us about 20 minutes). The hotel reception area was very welcoming and very well maintained. The staff all spoke good English and we had no issues to really complain about. The rooftop pool and bar area is fantastic after a long day walking (and even to chill out in the afternoon). The pool is more of a plunge pool with plenty of sunbeds and the bar area was very relaxed and comfortable with a great view over the city. The room was slightly smaller than I would have liked but the bathroom overly big if anything. The staff were excellent after we had thought we had lost our camera but they found it in the room and returned it to us later that day after we had checked out. A special mention to the bar lady in the roof top bar (I can't recall her name but she had a small tattoo on her arm) who was fantastic the whole time we were there and was always smiling and friendly. Nothing was too much of an ask for her. Collapse

Great hotel & location with just a 10 min stroll to get food/drink at night - lots of restaurants & bars to choose from. Hotel will give you a map & directions as soon as you arrive, it is best to go through the Plaza de la Constitucion & turn off as they show you than stopping before that. Everywhere was clean & the reception staff had very good English. Pool was small but had plenty of sunbeds & a good bar. The only food we ate in the hotel was up here - although breakfast was available there were plenty of options a lot cheaper outside of the hotel. Lovely views of the city from the pool/bar area. Bedroom was a bit small but you don't go on holiday to spend time shut in the room! In fairness we did mean to upgrade when we booked after reading reviews but then forgot to do so. The only gripe we have is that the cleaner was lax in filling up the coffee/milk in our room - every single day we had to ask & then they only brought 2 of those little milk cartons each time - guess they were trying to get us to purchase our coffee at the bar.
