I have just got back from a weeks family holiday at the magic cristal park hotel. I can honestly say it was one of the best holidays i have been on. All of the family had a great holiday and the hotel was great. To start I would like to thank Javier, Anita, Charlie and Mark from the magic cafe for making us feel very welcome and remembering all of our drinks from day 1. Javier and Anita are super friendly and such lovely, bubbly people! They really made the holiday something special! Also Charlie and Mark the entertainers are very multi-talented as they can sing, dance, play guitar, joke around and make sure all the kids are having a really fun time! Next, the bar staff around the pool are really great! Especially Fernando who is very quick and efficient with getting your drinks, this made a huge difference as the que at the pool bar can get huge!! Next, I'd like to mention how great the cleaners in the hotel are, they are very friendly and clean the room to great standard. Our room was spotless each and every time they had been in which was every day. Fresh bedding was put on and clean towels were put in the bathroom. They do a really great job, even around the pool there is always a cleaner, emptying bins, mopping, cleaning the bathrooms which is great. Moving on, the resteraunt is amazing, there is a huge variety of food and absolutly nothing to complain about, I will say to anybody reading previous reviews saying there was no nice food etc. They are lying, there is ample choice in food and a huge selection even for kids. The staff around the resteraunt are very friendly and polite and also very efficient at tidying up tables etc. We also managed to get some sneaky midnight snacks from the resteraunt on our way back up to the room after the magic cafe closed! The chefs seemed to find it hilarious that we were so hungry at that time of night (we are from Newcaslte afterall)!! Shame there was no donner kebab haha! Next, the facilities of the hotel aren't great but cant really complain as it is only a 3*. The lifts are very slow however, there are stairs... There are 3 bars around the hotel and 2 resteraunts, I personally found it hard to find the magic cafe with the directions we were given from reception, we had to ask a couple of times before they got a member of staff to escort us to the magic cafe. Maybe this was just us being stupid but i think it can be quite confusing. The final downside to the hotel is the spanish guests. I found that a lot of the spanish guests staying at the hotel were very rude and rather arrogant. (However, I am not blaming this on the hotel) Us as a family found ourselves in one to many confrontational situations over things like tables at the pool area, magic cafe, resteraunt etc; we had stood and waited for a table around the pool bar area for about half an hour when a young generous man was leaving and offered the table to us. We took a seat to find a spanish couple come over to us and shout at us telling us to move from the table as it was theres, this clearly was not the situation. There were other times that situations like this happened. We also try our best to use some spanish vocabulary to be friendly but it didnt seem to work as all we got were dirty looks. Minus the two negatives, we had a great holiday in Benidorm and in this hotel! I would definatly reccomend the hotel to all. A huge thankyou to all of the staff at Magic Cristal Park Hotel! P.S. We think Javier and Anita deserve a pay rise/bonus or something!! They are a great asset to the hotel and really care about the reputation and work their buts of to make sure everybody is happy and content!! Collapse

We stayed visited this hotel in August for 10 nights, 3 adults and 3 children. Positives were the food and the rooftop bar area, even the undercover pool was great as I didn't need to worry tyat the children were getting burnt. However the negatives far outweigh the positives, the original room we were allocated for the 2 adults and 2 children was totally inadequate it was very small no plug sockets except for two which were behind the beds and we had half a wardrobe between us all!! The hotel did move us which was great to a much bigger room however I am shocked that the room we were given originally could be sold to a family of 4. The cleanliness wasn't great, our sheets weren't even changed until day 6. The hotel was very Spanish and only the magic cafe felt welcoming on an evening. My wife also suffered and accident with a parasol base whilst in the rooftop terrace, a gust of wind blew it over and knocked her off her feet then landed on her toes, she only received any help from a fellow guest if the hotel as the staff couldn't understand us and brought us 1 plaster we then discovered that the hotel has no 1st aider available, for a hotel if this size this is totally unacceptable. Luckily she was ok but I am concerned that if this was a child it could have been much worse than just a toe injury. All in all pretty poor we paid quite a large sum to stay in August and to be honest I feel robbed. I wouldn't stay again and certainly wouldn't recommend. Collapse

I stayed here for a week with my family. Was disappointed about not having an out door pool. Room was of a good size but the cleanliness is not to a great standard. Wardrobes falling apart clanging plumbing and awful smell of sewage. Can not fault the food or the evening entertainment in the evening down at the magic cafe. Charlie and Mark are very hospitable and are very helpful. I will not stay here again but will visit the magic cafe. Collapse

Just back from Cristal Park, well impressed with the place, food was good and quite varied, the addition of visiting sister hotels was an extra bonus and would recommend Robin Hoods water park for kids and adults. The entertainment was well planned with English speaking guests in the Magic Cafe, also thanks to Charlie, multi talented he is, and a great man on the guitar. Collapse

Wouldn't stay at this hotel again, false advertising, staying with a friend and 12 year old son, paid for a junior suite and was given a room. Absolute joke.. The pool is not adequate for the amount of guests.
