We arrived on July 4th for a week. We were ultra all inclusive(which is amazing) The room was gorgeous. We were Parkside facing with a balcony which came in very handy. The food was really lovely with lots to choose from. There was 2 restaurants for British and Spanish but to be fair we preferred the Spanish restaurant it was plentiful with wide choices of food. The staff are very polite and hardworking. Entertainment was Charlie & Mark. They are so very hardworking and kept everyone going. All in all the entertainment was brilliant. Bar staff in the Magic Cafe were fab too in particular Anita!!!!!! Never have I ever gone to a hotel were the bar maid had remembered my drink every night she really is a very wonderful woman. She has been there 20+years and really made our holiday for us with her great banter and conversations. I would recommend this hotel to all. Always ask for a parkside room with balcony. This hotel also has a rooftop pool which is brilliant. Also on the rooftop has a large sunbathing area and bar. Ignore any bad reviews you see on trip advisor these people are just people who are used to living the high life in 5 star hotels. This hotel is honestly one of the best hotels I have stayed in. Been to many 3 star hotels not just in Benidorm but all over Spain but the by far beats them . We went 10 nights on the all inclusive ultra and what a difference when your drinking brand names instead of the cheap local paint stripper and with the 5 excersions added on top makes the package worth while but plan what you want to do before you get there and book them as if you leave it to long the places can fill up. Book the Magic robin hood for a Friday or Saturday apart for being a great hotel for the kids with really good water slides you can always take in the magic show excersion and the medevil night on the same day as based at the same location. The water park and zoo can be also done on the same day by doing the zoo in the morning when it is cooler and the water park in the afternoon when it is warmer as they are right next door to each other. Rooms where clean and tidy with 32 inch tv (itv and bbc) fridge and kettle with maids in everyday but there was a lack of do not disturb signs in room ours did not have any . Food well people do say there is a Spanish restaurant on -1 and English on -2 i found that this was not really the case as both places served the same stuff just the -1 is bigger so can hold a bit more and served more seafood than -2 . As food choice it was good always could find something. Roof pool was good with bar located where you can get slush puppies and the same brand drinks as in all other bars including milkshakes and the soft drinks where brand name such as pepsi. i did see people gripe about the pool on roof but you can use many of the other hotels with really good pools you can use my only gripe was no sun canopies on the sun bathing deck on roof and the no kids in jacuzzi but they where always in it . Night life at magic cafe is good with Charlie , Mark and Eddie although the do a great job perhaps a couple different singers brought in during time would make a nice change. Bar staff are brill Anita (give her a wage rise management) is all ways happy and does her job brill order a drink once that night and she remembers your order even though the place can get busy. Will we be back yes already booked for march next year and planning another stay later next year well done guys at the Cristel park nearly got the perfect balance to provide an exellent stay for all. arrived late at night but we were still able to have food as evening snacks are opened at 2215. food is of good standard for a 3*. plenty of choices for everyone from pork beef chicken and lots of seafoods. drinks were all international brands, 4 different whiskies, 3 vodkas and 3 gins plus others too numerous to mention. staff were usually happy smiley people.pool is a bit on small side but you can use the facilities at other hotels in the group . there is plenty of sunbeds and we never had to look far for them. Anita seems to run the Magic Cafe and will not put up with queue jumpers (spanish mainly). even under pressure she stands tall. charlie runs the day and night activities and tries to get people to join in. if we had any faults with this hotel it would only be to suggest more staff behind the bars to prevent the sometime occasional queue. Just got back from a much needed family holiday after a bad year,This place didn't make it any better! Firstly there was about 100 kids staying there at some football competition from Wednesday when we arrived until Saturday. Should of been advised about this - a lot of them were rude disruptive & really noisy. There was an incident the second day were a child was drowning in the pool & my sons friend had to give her mouth to mouth. A member of staff eventually came & called for an ambulance & brought oxygen but didn't know how to use it . Had it not been for our friend the outcome would of been very different. I know there are no life guards but they should have things in place & trained first aiders incase of such emergencys. Our children were traumatised. The food is awful not much choice twice I had just lettuce & cucumber We ended up eating out every afternoon & evening so all inclusive was a waste of money. Entertainment was awful ,very amateurish not worth staying in the hotel for & most people didn't , was only about 20-30 people down there of a night. There's only 4 lifts & had to wait forever for them , couldn't walk up as on 6th floor, was really bad when all the football lads were there as constantly messing about in them. Most of the staff were just rude or ignorant especially restaurant staff but most of reception & a couple of bar staff were ok. The hotel itself is quite rundown sun loungers are dirty & ripped, pictures on website quite deceiving as it looks like there's a good sized play park & kids swimming pool with slides but actually it's tiny & about a foot deep. Very disappointed especially as I always check reviews etc Only decent thing was that the room was clean but not many sockets to plug things in 2 hidden behind beds. Would definitely not go again cost us a fortune as had to go out for meals & entertainent. Collapse

The room we were in didn't have a balcony which was a slight drawback. The food was plentiful with lots of choice, although my fussy son ate nothing but chips all week as the chicken nuggets weren't great and that's almost all he eats (obviously not hotel's fault!) The air conditioning was great but made a loud noise at least once a day, usually early in the morning. Someone came to see it and said it needed a clean but never came back to clean it. The swimming pool on for 7 was under a glass canopy with tables and chairs around it. It was very deep so not suitable for my non-swimming child to use. My older child enjoyed using it though but it is small. The kids pool on 5th floor is in a horrible untidy location though, and had murky water. The are loads of sunbeds on the large sun terrace which is great for sun worshippers. Could do with parasols up there though. There's a roof top bar outside the pool area with lots of tables and parasols. It's great that you can go to other hotels in the group. We went to Tropical Splash for the day with had an amazing pool. You also get to use your all inclusive card there so had food and drinks on tap. When we booked the day though the woman who booked it was very unclear about the free bus. She told me we would catch the bus from outside the hotel and, even when I asked for more detail about exactly where she didn't tell me simply saying "outside at the front". As it turns out the bus went from the stop down to the left outside the hotel on the other side of the road. other people were also confused as so it wasn't just me being thick! Therefore when the bus turned up we weren't in the queue and the bus was too full leaving without many of the people who were queuing. Another bus for Robin Hood hotel then came but was nearly full already so again people were left waiting. We ended up getting a taxi for €10 each way. It was worth it though as Tropical Splash has a fantastic pool and we all loved that day. We enjoyed the entertainment and Charlie was so friendly and remembers everyones names. Anita deserves a mention too- so friendly and remembered what everyone was drinking! All in all a great holiday but the small pool and lack of balcony stops me giving full marks. Collapse
