Myself and my partner have just returned from a 3 night last minute getaway to Benidorm. Having just a few hours to book a hotel, this was one of the few hotels available at such short notice, so I didn't do my homework like I usually do. However, we were really pleasantly surprised with our stay. I must also say that we are international travellers, we haven't stayed in Benidorm for 10 years so don't have experience of lots of hotels in the area. Location - The hotel is considered to be in 'mid-town' according to reception, which meant it was the perfect location for exploring either direction. The old town was just a few minutes walk away and the same to the beach. Amenities - We really enjoyed the rooftop area, as we were very lucky to enjoy beautiful weather mid-February. However, we would have really liked to swim in the indoor pool but couldn't as it was too cold. Perhaps one of the major benefits to having an indoor pool could be that it's heated during the winter months? I also wouldn't stay here in the summer months for this exact reason; it's not the same as having an outdoor pool in the sunshine. Rooms - The rooms are clean and comfortable with huge flat-screen TVs that have the major British channels. There were no balconies. Also, because the hotel was by the side of a road, it was always quite loud and we struggled to get a good sleep. Similarly, the walls are paper thin so you can hear everything your neighbour is up to. Rooms are also missing a hairdryer but apparently oh can hire one if you leave a deposit. Food - The all inclusive was okay, we always found something to eat. It was lovely that there was a separate area for all inclusive guests, where you could help yourself to beer, wine, sangria, cava and soft drinks. We were also given the 'ultra all inclusive' cards on arrival which we didn't specifically opt for, so it was lovely to be able to have cocktails and branded drinks. Overall, I would say that this is the place if you're after a cheap, enjoyable break away from the stag and hens but close to locals and lovely restaurants/bars. Collapse

Early February 2017. As we were all inclusive at the sister hotel, Magic Aqua Rock, at the other end of the beach, me and my three kids decided to pop in for lunch as we were up that end of town happily getting lost in the lanes etc shopping for tat. Lunch resembled an outing to a large old people's home (decor included) probably as it was out of main season I'm guessing, rammed full of old Spanish folks. The food was okay, nothing great. And comparing it to our hotels food it paled into the shadows. We didn't go back here, food decor and ambiance at The Magic Aqua Rock was far superior. Staff were all nice and helpful though . This hotel has very attentive staff who take the time to recognise the family and interact with children. Frank in the restaurant (and to be honest all the waiters) and the Magic Cafe staff are excellent. There is always something to enjoy on the buffet, even fussy eaters should be able to get something they like. The drinks options in the all inclusive buffet area are lovely, Cava and Sangria always available along with soft drinks, coffee, hot chocolate and wine. The rooms were good sizes with lots of room. I liked that all the transfer to the airport details (ie pickup times and locations) were put up the day before you leave on a board in the reception. There seems to be a lot of activities during the day, but we chose to go out into the town, returning only for our meals. The hotel is well situated, meaning we could easily pop back for food/drinks. There is also a packed lunch option wich we took advantage of on the day we went to the airport as we left at 6.40am before breakfast was served. We used the mini club once and it helps keeps children entertained for a couple of hours. Pool was too cold to swim in at this time of year, but it looked good for warmer days. Collapse

Arrived 14th January 2017. Given warm welcome by staff, as I am a regular here. Given great accommodation on front and near lift as requested. Excellent until the very extreme weather came. My room was flooded via patio doors. Luz the cleaner organised a fast removal to another room. This was to be for 1 night. Liana, housekeeper, arranged a move next day and I was upgraded to Gold Card. 2 floors of hotel were being renovated during this time. I can not praise the staff in all departments enough for the service and help I received during my stay. Although they were all under pressure, they were polite and very helpful as usual. This has to be said for regular and many new staff. Food - plentiful and good selection. Regular clients and staff make this a welcome hotel to which I return. Booked again for October 2017. Well done staff, keep up good work. Thank you. Collapse

Stayed for 10 days in January. Check in was quick and unfussed. Nice warm welcome from the lady who's name I forget. Hotel is perfectly situated for the old town. A 5 minute stroll into the heart of it. Room was slightly dated but very comfortably. everything that needed to be comfy was comfy. Everything that you needed to work, worked. 2 restaurants. We were recommended we try the one on the lower level, but tried both. Level 1 restaurant (the Spanish one?) was bigger and a lot busier. It didn't have any food that was different to the 'British' restaurant downstairs. Same food in both restaurants, just more of it upstairs due to it being bigger. The food was varied, aimed more toward the Spanish market, which is absolutely fine. Who would want to go to a Spanish hotel and eat British food. The food was also warm. Not mad hot, but not cold and there were plenty of microwaves about if you insisted on red hot food. There was plenty of choice at every meal. For even the fussiest of eaters. They actually shut the lower restaurant during our stay, due to low numbers I think. The bars and entertainment areas were very good. A large selection of drinks available on the AI option and all served with a pleasant smile by the excellent staff. We spent most evenings down in the Magic Cafe, where they had artists, quizzes and karaoke. Our 3/4 year old enjoyed it down here, were she got to sing karaoke and make friends with the other holiday makers. Unfortunately she was pretty much the only child here, but that didn't stop her enjoying the hotel. The staff is what makes this hotel. From the front desk, restaurant staff, bar staff animation staff. Every single one of them had a smile and polite word for us, especially our birthday girl. she was treated like royalty for the entire stay. I'd recommend this hotel to anybody looking for a Value AI hotel. Apart form maybe people that are only happy if they get their English Breakfast, chips, chicken nuggets, hamburgers. This hotel and it's location is not for you. Try an hotel near the square, this won't be for you. Thank you Cristal Park members of staff. You were great. Collapse
