Stayed for 10 days. Overall the hotel is lovely and in a great area with the beach only down the road. Staff: Bar staff were mainly lovely and very friendly. Although one or two would ignore you and leave you waiting a while whilst they finished chatting to the Spanish guests. One staff member laughed and joked when a guest came to tell him a glass fell from a room window and smashed outside and told him to call the police, even though he was told there were kids running around. Reception were really helpful at the older man who was so rude and dismissive Rooms: rooms were spacious with two double beds. You don't really spend much time in the rooms so it was a good size. Only downfall is the air con wasn't strong enough and you wake up sweating in the middle of the night. Maids were excellent. Restaurant: We ate at Africa Virgin throughout our stay bar once when we went to the Africa falls restaurant. THIS WAS AWFUL, staff and food were terrible. In African Virgin the staff were great, always smiling which I didn't understand as it seemed they were always working! Food was lovely! CARDIAC HILL: That dreaded hill. It is very very steep and you can really feel it coming up. Makes you want to stay in the hotel forever so you don't have to walk the hill! Entertainment: the entertainment was horrendous if you weren't Spanish. There is only so much of DJ Duggy and his pub quizzes you can take, bare in mind these are EVERY SINGLE NIGHT!!! The Spanish bar was much bigger and had much more going on. The flamenco dancers were excellent! Each night there was discos on for the kids which they seemed to enjoy as well as karaoke. During karaoke, an English girl was singing a song and a Spanish guest asked why she was singing in English and the staff told him because she was English, and he very rudely said why is she in the Spanish bar so? Don't think he realised that many non Spanish people can speak Spanish and understood exactly what he said. Keycards: The cards for all inclusive were always breaking, leaving you locked out of your room and having to wait another 5 mins for a lift to get reception to reactivate them. This happened at least five times while I was there. Drinks: drinks were lovely and many were branded. I would recommend the San Francisco non alcoholic cocktail! I visited Robin Hood during my stay and there was no comparison. The entertainment was FANTASTIC and the pool and slides were much better and safer than Magic Rock Gardens Collapse

Pros: - Cleanliness of hotel. - Staff are friendly and helpful. - Catered for kids with slides, entertainment etc. Cons: - Overlooked by a tower block of flats literally in front of the pool which blocks the sun in the afternoon. - Food was ok, but got a bit repetitive after a few days. - The most uncomfortable bed I think I have ever slept in. - Can be quite noisy (can hear everything from room above, next door to down the corridors) - Swimming pool is freezing. Overall I wouldn't really recommend or warn people from it, if you can get the hotel at a reasonable price then it's probably worth the money. Collapse

Pool/ Slides ok my only grumble was the pool was so cold in August you wouldn't expect this. It's because the hotel doesn't get a lot of Sun. Rooms small for a family of four but clean. Very central to all the action. I wouldn't rush back but that said we did enjoy our holiday. Collapse

Traveled as a family of 6 (2 adults,2 teens,2 under 10's). Arrived slightly late due to transfer and were told our rooms were not ready. We went for some lunch returning to reception and hour later and our rooms were still not ready. Staff suggested the kids change for the pool in the toilets, but frankly I don't think that's appropriate. Upon getting to our rooms we were devastated to discover our 'pool view' was from a window, NO BALCONY! The only rooms with balconies are the suites. The were cleaned well daily and thankfully had a few English channels on the TV, although the remote was very temperamental as the back was missing and it had tape holding it all together. Following our first night, I told the kids off in the morning for leaving wet things on the floor as it was soaking, only realising the following morning that the air conditioning unit was causing the pools of water on the floor which this time had soaked one of our still full cases. It was repaired later that day but they could do with updating as they are obviously very old units. Food was a big disappointment especially as we were all inclusive. We were only there for 1week and it quickly became very repetitive or extremely confusing concoctions. If you enjoy jelly or cake with an array of coloured fondants the puddings will suit you well, thankfully there was fruit and ice creams available on most days. Breakfast was in our opinion the best course of the day so we would fill up as much as possible. The snack bar by the pool worried me as the temperature of some 'hot food' was very questionable. We avoided this after 1 or 2 visits. The lifts......NIGHTMARE, no other word comes close to describing them. Far too small and not enough of them for a hotel this size, be prepared for walking around aimlessly thinking you are on a certain floor...BUT...it depends on which lift you use as to what number floor you are on. The sun lounger rush is horrific. You have to que for at least 30mins BEFORE the pool opens and literally throw your towels over people's heads as you run towards where you want to be. The pool area is well maintained and very clean, but seriously cramped and not enough loungers. The 'English Bar' is a good nights entertainment but is geared more towards adults with quizzes/ karaoke etc, nothing for smaller kids but still is much better than the 'Spanish' bar as all the entertainment & music in there is only in Spanish. Cardiac hill is not as bad as it's made out to be, but I can see how and why people with pushchair/wheelchair would complain about this. We only stayed around the pools for 1 day only as the slides were never on together and large ques were the norm. Lifeguards on the slides are great and do control the riders making sure the person is clear before the next goes down, but the main pool lifeguards sat on their phones the majority of time. We enjoyed our holiday very much BUT this was down to where we went and what we did but I sadly would not revisit this hotel. Collapse

We went here early May, was a great holiday.... pools fantastic great for the kids, plenty of sunbeds and I did like the fact you didn't need to rush to put towels on the beds as it was blocked off until 9/10am. Food was great lots of choice, and non stop all day even late at night with left overs. Situated really close to the beach and just a small walk to the town. Staff were lovely and friendly. Entertainment was good, also great for the children Great holiday overall, the only downfall is that they never put enough staff on to serve drinks which did let it down abit as you did wait quite a bit. And with only allowed to do 2x drinks a time you were soon back up there in the dreaded que. I would go back though, rooms were nice aswell. Collapse
