You’ll find complete tranquillity during your stay at Dar Al Masyaf. Inspired by the traditional courtyard summer houses of old Arabia, these standalone two-storey houses offer an exquisitely designed hideaway – the premium accommodation of our resort. Coming and going is pleasing in itself, with the houses accessible by scenic waterways and paths that wind their way through lush landscaped gardens. Inside, you’ll experience the height of luxury, with beautifully appointed, light and spacious guest rooms and suites.
When you’re ready to venture out, you’ll find the beach easily accessible, as well as the many facilities of the resort – including restaurants, the famous Souk Madinat, the Talise Spa and activities including tennis, squash, aerobics and our state-of-the-art gymnasium.
Hidden within Madinat Jumeirah’s captivating waterways and architectural marvels is the resort’s most luxurious accommodation – the Malakiya Villas. The villas offer spacious bedrooms, oversized marble-clad bathrooms, generous living spaces, fully furnished kitchens and private terraces overlooking the waterways and resort.

This was our fifth visit to this hotel and the best yet. This hotel is amazing with low rise buildings, a winding canal and the trickling sounds of water, with one of the largest swimming pools in Dubai a 5 min walk, or 3 min buggy, or 8 min boat trip away. The standard of service was five star plus, from the moment we arrived. A special mention of the butlers (especially Zhyldyz and Tamta) who were so helpful and nothing was too much for them - thank you. The Sinbads kids club team are fantastic and kept my four year old daughter Freya occupied for 4 - 5 hours of the day, they remembered her from previous years and she is currently pestering me to go back and see them! They kept the kids so busy that both wanted to stay in the room in most evenings, so we arranged babysitters through Sinbads and they had room service while we could have dinner in peace. A special thank you to Thiru, who brought their meals and made them feel special. This is a place where the standards are sky high, but has a relaxed atmosphere, kids can be kept busy so parents also get a holiday and many activities on offer. Suffice to say, we will be going back! Collapse

We visited here some years ago when travelling back from the Maldives via Dubai so decided to come back with the children as we have stayed in other properties in the Madinat complex. I'm pleased to report that nothing has changed in terms of the service which remains first class. The butlers are brilliant and nothing is too much for them or other members of staff. Wild Wadi was great for the kids and the dinner options in all the restaurants we ate in were of the highest standard. You will be spoilt for choice. Thanks for helping to create some truly fantastic family memories here. You really do deserve your constant tripadvisor top rated Dubai hotels status. We will be back! Collapse

The Dar Al Masyaf is an incredible hotel. My husband and I had visited for our first wedding anniversary last year and returned this year with our 9 month old baby. We stayed in Villa 13 and had impeccable service from the butlers, the main ones to stand out were Vener and Vipul, along with Diane who was training with Vener. For me, the butler service is what sets the hotel apart from others. The 6-8pm cocktail hour helped us get to know other guests staying in our villa. The rooms are beautiful and the perfect size for a family. On the day we arrived, a crib was bought in to our room and as much care had been taken in dressing the crib as dressing the main bed. Luckily, the main bed was big enough to enable our small, but wriggly baby to share with us most of the time. The small private pools shared between villas were well maintained and a nice relaxing place to go and spend the day. We never had any trouble finding sunbeds around the pool even though the hotel was busy. We struggled on the beach though, most sunbeds were gone by 11am, but if there were sunbeds there were no umbrellas. The layout of the beach has changed since our last visit in 2015 and the lack of space seems to be due to the new cabanas, which cost 1000aed a day. This would be my only issue with the hotel, they have reduced normal sunbed spaces for the new cabanas. But, when there is such an incredible pool and we had use of the private villa pool we just opted to not use the beach. The lifeguards are fantastic and knew us by name by the end of the holiday, and our son used to swim around waving at them from his rubber ring. Another difference since our first stay was that there seemed to be longer waits for the Abra's. Particularly in the evening when more outside visitors were using them to get to restaurants. Maybe there should be a separate line for people actually staying there and people visiting? My husband got ill on the trip and that was handled really well, from the butlers, to the paramedics and then the doctor. While his care was great, it did make us grateful that we'd chosen to stay for 10 days instead of 7 so that we didn't lose too much time. Both times we've stayed we have used the half board option which is great. There is a brilliant choice of restaurants to choose from. We loved breakfast at Khaymat Al Bahar, great selection and felt less crowded and "buffet like" than the Al Qasr breakfast. Amazing food at Zheng He's (we ended up going twice) and brilliant food and service at Shimmers in particular. We also left the resort to visit the indian restaurant at the Zabeel Al Saray on the Palm which was brilliant. We have now experienced both a couples holiday and a family holiday at the Dar Al Masyaf and we can't wait to return. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Dubai. Collapse
