You’ll find complete tranquillity during your stay at Dar Al Masyaf. Inspired by the traditional courtyard summer houses of old Arabia, these standalone two-storey houses offer an exquisitely designed hideaway – the premium accommodation of our resort. Coming and going is pleasing in itself, with the houses accessible by scenic waterways and paths that wind their way through lush landscaped gardens. Inside, you’ll experience the height of luxury, with beautifully appointed, light and spacious guest rooms and suites.
When you’re ready to venture out, you’ll find the beach easily accessible, as well as the many facilities of the resort – including restaurants, the famous Souk Madinat, the Talise Spa and activities including tennis, squash, aerobics and our state-of-the-art gymnasium.
Hidden within Madinat Jumeirah’s captivating waterways and architectural marvels is the resort’s most luxurious accommodation – the Malakiya Villas. The villas offer spacious bedrooms, oversized marble-clad bathrooms, generous living spaces, fully furnished kitchens and private terraces overlooking the waterways and resort.

We stayed as a family of 4 in October 2016 for 8 days. This is our second stay in as many years and this year was as good as last and we will definitely book for 2017. Pros - Relaxing, with the villa and it's pool being a great retreat from main pool - Restaurants all good quality - Lots of space throughout so never feels too crowded - Entry to wild wadi great for children - Kids club still best we've been to Cons - Queuing system to get a buggy at wild wadi still not fixed meaning he who shouts loudest can jump the queue. Easy to fix but mentioned last year and nothing changed - Staff not keen to speak out at unruly children either in kids club or at villa pools. There needs to be more firm enforcement of pool rules and being respectful in kids club meaning staff must speak with parents rather than ignore bad behaviour. - Prices gradually increasing which needs to be watched. One half of the beach changed its pricing of certain items by 45% in one day (pizza from 70 to 110). No notice was supplied to those staying and no rationale given - the pizza didn't increase in size or significantly more ingredients. Thankfully the Mina side of the beach retained the old prices. Hopefully the hotel isn't becoming greedy or desperate but this non communicated change was handled badly. One other question I would have which we won't know until next year is the impact of the new hotel 'al Naseem opening'. Will this make the beach or facilities feel busier? Will buggies be harder to come by? Will wild wadi feel busier? I know there will be a hotel answer to this but the reality will be seen in these reviews next year. So a few niggles and concern on pricing, but hotel still offers one of the few places you can relax immediately. The happy hour at the DAM is also great to meet new interesting people and make new friends - plus have free drinks :-) Highly recommended Collapse

We have just returned from a fabulous break at DAM. We stayed in Villa 15 and had exceptional service from Dida and Dinesh. By the end of the week they knew are needs before we did! The rooms are very spacious - for a family of 4 (kids aged 8 and 11) we had a king size bed a double sofa bed and a single pull out bed and there was still plenty of space. Bathrooms are huge and very well thought out. Choice of restaurants is fantastic but be careful as not all restaurants are included if you are on half board. Access to Wild Wadi was great with the children as you could pop in whenever it suited you. It is lovely to get around using just Abra's and buggies which the staff will call for you. The Sinbad kids club was well resourced and easy for the kids to come and go. The main pool at Al Qasr is huge and can be enjoyed by everyone. This was the best hotel we have stayed at so far in Dubai. Collapse

Wonderful hotel, top location and high service level, special thanks to our private butlers Dida and Dinesh who made this vacation perfect! Nice villas part of al Qasr hotel from Jumeirah group. Situated on beautiful beach overlooking palm Jumeirah.

This is an amazing property that offers everything you would expect from a five star experience. You just need to forget about how much you are spending or your time here will be spoiled. In the end expect to leave $1000 per day. It is just not practical to think about the bill - rather go all-in and the be frugal for some time back home. The hotel has THE location in Dubai, right next to Burj al Arab. The moment you arrive and are taxied to your villa by canal boat or golf cart, you are in another world. You forget about the hectic city and the heat. We stayed in villa 5 very close to the beach. Noise has never been a problem and although this is a big hotel, you will get the privacy and tranquility that you desire. Our butler welcomed us, even at 1a.m. and room service came in 15 min. The rooms are spacious - the bathroom in particular and all is neat and clean as you would expect for five stars. The walk to the beach is literally 1 min and you will enjoy breakfast right at the beach. There even is a romantic restaurant right on a jetty. For the price you are paying you get a lot of room on the beach itself and we even rented a cabana for added comfort. The water in the sea is bathtub temperature and the pool is refrigerated - very nice. Don't think about your carbon footprint! There are many plenty of options for restaurants both for lunch and dinner. Food quality is very good, but not the best we ever had. I also visit the spa and again you could not improve much here. The massage was very professional and you get a lot of privacy with steam rooms and jacuzzis. The location of the hotel in Dubai is very central and you can get around by taxi conveniently and for small money. All in all, I think every now and then, this is a very good option to spoil yourself for a couple days and much nicer than one of the skyscraper hotels in town. For late flights out, the hotel offers a lounge room with private shower so it's no problem to check out, spend the day and come back to change before leaving to the airport. I think we will come back. Collapse

New to Tripadvisor I'm back dating my review. It was actually May 2015 (my 3rd trip to Dar al Masyaf) and was lucky enough to have stayed in the Malakiya villa (7). Quite simply the most special, wonderful holiday imaginable, once in a lifetime experience. Perfect in every way. Our two previous visits, we have stayed in different Villas and each trip has been wonderful with incredible service. We had an amazing package which included lots of the brilliant restaurants throughout the Madinat group plus evening drinks. The restaurant Carnivale in the Jumeirah Beach Hotel (we got a buggy from Dar Al Masyaf) was particularly lovely. Having been fortunate enough to stay in some lovely hotels round the world, I still can't beat the trips here. It is the epitome of fantastic service and a wonderful resort. Now have booked a fourth trip back here for 2017. I Can't wait to revisit, see more of Dubai (if we can tear ourselves away from the beach and the pool) and going to try the Spa this time. See you next year Dar Al Masyaf! Collapse
