You’ll find complete tranquillity during your stay at Dar Al Masyaf. Inspired by the traditional courtyard summer houses of old Arabia, these standalone two-storey houses offer an exquisitely designed hideaway – the premium accommodation of our resort. Coming and going is pleasing in itself, with the houses accessible by scenic waterways and paths that wind their way through lush landscaped gardens. Inside, you’ll experience the height of luxury, with beautifully appointed, light and spacious guest rooms and suites.
When you’re ready to venture out, you’ll find the beach easily accessible, as well as the many facilities of the resort – including restaurants, the famous Souk Madinat, the Talise Spa and activities including tennis, squash, aerobics and our state-of-the-art gymnasium.
Hidden within Madinat Jumeirah’s captivating waterways and architectural marvels is the resort’s most luxurious accommodation – the Malakiya Villas. The villas offer spacious bedrooms, oversized marble-clad bathrooms, generous living spaces, fully furnished kitchens and private terraces overlooking the waterways and resort.

Dar Al Masyaf was recommended to us by friends who had stayed as part of their honeymoon and it didn't disappoint. The level of service from the moment we drove up the hotel drive to the moment we vacated was quite simply superb - we literally felt like royalty. We booked an Arabian Summerhouse Arabian Deluxe for our stay. We were informed that we would check in at our Summerhouse (rather than the main reception area of the hotel) and were immediately whisked there by golf buggy! One of our butlers greeted us with complimentary refreshments before we flew through the check in process. The accommodation itself was fabulous - luxurious, spacious, well equipped. Our package included half board dining and we made the most of the Jumeirah hotels (Madinat, Jumeirah Beach, Burj Al Arab) for this. Our butlers (Prytesh and Lee) could not do enough for us. Whether it was booking a restaurant, providing information on transport outside of the hotel or arranging an abra or golf buggy that would get us to the beach, the pool, the souk, the water park or the many fabulous restaurants. Then there's Happy Hour (technically two hours) every night (6pm-8pm) where we enjoyed complimentary drinks (beer, wine, champagne) before heading off for our evening meals. It's not just the butlers who provide service with a smile either, the waiting staff at ALL of the restaurants we visited were friendly and attentive, likewise the attendants at the beach or pool. Those who ferried us around on the abras were excellent and those who drove us about on golf buggies were superb and would often stop so we could take pictures of the now iconic Dubai backdrop. In terms of restaurants, we thoroughly enjoyed (and would recommend) The Hide & Tortuga (Madinat), Naya (Jumeirah Beach Hotel) and Al Muntaha (Burj Al Arab) - admittedly the drinks are on the expensive side but if you make the most of Happy Hour then you don't need to drink too much when you're out in the restaurants. We also experienced the Big Friday Brunch at Al Qasr and although there's an extra charge, it's well worth it (if you love your food and drink!) To be honest, I don't think we've ever seen such a unique and vast display of culinary delights - no wonder they give you three and a half hours to take it all in! For those who love cheap thrills, Wild Wadi water park will be right up your street. Guests of Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts in Dubai get full complimentary access – just don’t take a trip down Jumeirah Sceirah straight after breakfast! You needn’t worry about getting up early to put your towels out, there are plenty of sun loungers available on the beach or by the pool and plenty of attendants there to put towels out for you and keep your cool bag stocked up with water – leaving you to sit back, relax and soak up the sun. I could probably wax lyrical about this place all day long, but I won’t! Whilst I’m sure Dubai isn’t everybody’s cup of tea, but we thoroughly enjoyed it and I’m sure we’ll be back there sooner rather than later. The only downside…we only went for a week! Collapse

Amazing, has to be the best holiday ever, summerhouses are gorgeous, real character and everywhere so spotlessly clean, from the butlers to the groundsmen, everyone is a credit to this company, professional, helpful and so friendly, the grounds are to die for, it's like being in paradise, the albras and buggys that get you round the resort are a great idea, really fun. I cannot say a bad word about anything, well above what we expected and will definitely be returning. It was a special birthday for my husband while we were there and the butlers really went out of their way, put a card and cake in the room, all greeted him with happy birthday, really made our holiday. Travelled with my husband for special birthday. Stayed 4 nights in our favourite villa 11. We were delighted to be met by Marycris who we recognised from the PLC at JBH. Special mention to her and Gopal the buggy driver who we will never forget. We ate at Rockfish, La Parilla and Beachcombers, no complaints at all. We also did brunch down at the Park Hyatt hotel at the creek - wowzers.. a very classy brunch where the focus is certainly on quality not quantity, just exceptional. The only negative of the whole trip was 360 Bar at JBH - awful awful awful. Trashy to say the least. We will never tire of the serenity at DAM and will keep going back there by ourselves and JBH with the kids! A gentle word of advice for management, we've noticed the room service staff and some buggy drivers (not Gopal) are trying way too hard for tips. Would really like them to back off a bit... Collapse

Check out people's photos to see how beautiful this place is. It's like from another world. Enjoyed every second there. The staff went above and beyond to make you feel taken care of. I lack proper words to describe how good my stay was. Do note, this is not a 7-star, bizarrely expensive place, it's pricey, but not crazy expensive. It's worth it. Would definitely go back, would definitely recommend. Views include Burj Al Arab which is one of the landmarks of the whole country. It's weirdly satisfying to look at it from your own backyard/window. Collapse
