My stay at M Hotel. I have never been to Singapore before. It also was my first time to travel alone to a new place for my first time. In the pass I have travelled with my friends who had been prior so they were able to show me around. So I was all on my own to workout things for myself on this trip. I had no idea where to stay as I wanted to stay close to where the gay bars are as I am gay and wanted to be close. I went into flight centre for a quote. They showed me the Boss hotel in little India. I spoke to my friends who have been to Singapore before and they said that will be a lot of travel to get to the gay bars in Chinatown. I also wasn’t too happy with the size of the room or style. So I decided to do my own research on Expedia.com. There was so many hotels to choose from. I narrowed it down to 3 hotels. Why M Hotel stood out the most to me was it had a Pool, 2 x Spa, Gym and in room bathtub. And the room is rather large to the other hotels I saw online which was a bonus. Also another future it had I liked was it had a free mobile phone which you can take anywhere around Singapore which included Free International calls, Free unlimited Internet it also had a guide about Singapore with discounts. After I booked M Hotel. I started to worry as I read some bad reviews on trip advisor thinking I chose the wrong hotel. On arrival one of the concierge was so very helpful he helped me with my bags and led me to the check-in counter. Check-in process was very easy and fast. I booked the Deluxe room and was upgraded to the club room which I never asked for a upgrade. This is the first time I have ever had an upgrade at a hotel . I have stayed at many hotels in my life and normally I feel very unsettled. But walking into my room for my first time I felt like it was my home never felt this feeling before. I liked my room it had a great view. Also been in hotels where you just have a bed and it is awkward because you are restricted to your bed. At M hotel they have a nice 1 seater couch which I sat at many times admiring my beautiful view. They also have a large desk with a fancy office chair. The room had many draws throughout the room. The clothes cupboard had many hangers and draws and ironing board with iron no need to ask to borrow one from housekeeping. The bathroom had a bath tub separate shower. Lots of mirrors and amenities with a very good quality toothbrush not a cheap nasty one which I have had at other hotels in the pass. Also I have been in many hotels and you put your private sign on the door and people either take it all it falls off which is annoying. At M hotel they have a light system which you turn on if you want your room to be made or not to be disturb. Being in Singapore for my first time I was a little lonely as knew no one and didn’t know how things work. There was many times asked the same concierge who greeted me for my first time. He was very helpful and had great knowledge of Singapore and spoke good English. At times throughout my stayed I asked for help on how to get to the activities I wanted to go to he drew out a good detailed map with directions. After I retuned he followed up on how my day trip went. He does an excellent job and great asset to M hotel. I had some yummy breakfast at M hotel with a huge selection to choose from. I also had one delicious buffet dinner with so much on offer to eat. I spent many times in there beautiful pool and spa. They have light chill out music playing . with a beautiful garden which has a water stream and the sound of running water. Was one of the most relaxing pool areas I ever stayed at. They also have a food and drink menu next to a phone so you can have your food and drinks brought out to you. So after my staying at M hotel I looked back at the bad reviews I read and I now realize they were untrue reviews as I couldn’t fault the hotel in anyway. Which I have done at many other hotels I have stayed at. The staff were so very friendly. Rooms cleaned spot on each day. Easy to catch taxi as they have a stand and no problem catching Uber or grab either from hotel. If I return to Singapore for another holiday I wouldn’t risk staying at another hotel and being dissatisfied. Check in simple. Check out easy fast. Location great. Chemist few meters away. Convince store few meters away. ATMS few minutes’ walk. Local food markets 10 min walk away. With all these good things on offer I would definitely will be returning and staying at M hotel. I highly recommend my friends and anyone to stay at M hotel. Keep up the excellent work Staff. Thanks Jason Ross Stramsek. Collapse

Stayed for 4 nights on business and can't really fault it ! The rooms were excellent size and had a decent desk and relaxing chair, loads of space really. Bed was awesome which is the biggest judge of a hotel room for me. Pool and gym were pretty good, pool outdoor on 11th floor Wifi bit dodgy, although it was free, found that you were constantly having to re login all the time. Easy 10 minute walk to Chinatown and easy to find for the Uber drivers so easy to get to and from everywhere else ! Collapse

Stayed here on client's wishes. Have stayed nearby before in the financial district - close to Marina Bay Sands, good cafes, street food and running routes. Check in was slow as they only have two check in desks. Same at checkout which was one of the downsides. Hotel overall is very good - complimentary breakfast was good, with mix of Asian and western foods including eggs cooked to your liking. Pool area was nice but small and gym looked ok but small as well. Rooms were great - comfy bed, good views, good amenities. Expensive minibar (8 SGD++ for water). There is a phone in each room that is free to use for 4G around Singapore for maps etc and phone calls which is really handy. We used this a lot and it was a nice touch. Free wifi in the rooms also. The bathroom was ok - bath small but suitable and the shower was ok but water pressure low. No rain shower head. The worst issue with the hotel was the J Bar - extremely loud music to the extent that you could not talk (even when we were the only ones in there at midnight) and very very expensive ($19 SGD tiger beers). We also had some issues with the drinks bill being paid but appearing on our room bill the next day. Overall i was happy to stay here but it was not my favourite hotel in the area nor in Singapore for the price. Collapse
