We were four adults staying at the Ludovisi Palace in Rome for 3 nights on a recent city break. We stayed in rooms that has been refurbished & although our room looked over a enclosed courtyard our boys room was located at the front of the hotel. Location was nice and quiet and within a 10 minute walk of The Spanish Steps & 15 minutes of The Trevi Fountain. There was a Metro entance close by, however, we never used it and decided to walk to all the main attractions such as The Colosseum, The Vatican, St Peter's Basilica & Piazza Navona. We only ate breakfast in the hotel, however, on checking the dining room on our return on the last night noticed that they did offer light meals & pizza etc & wished we had eaten there one night. All the staff were extremely helpful & polite especially the Doorman who was lovely. Thank you all, we really enjoyed our stay and wished we could've stayed longer. The Glasbey Family x Collapse

The hotel was renovated, super clean, and modern with spacious bathrooms. My wife, 5yr old and I stayed in a "triple" room, one king bed + single bed and it worked great for us as we were only here for a short time. Not the biggest room, but it was cozy and did the job well. And it's in a great neighborhood on a quite side street. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel was kid friendly. A block/half away from via Veneto, restaurants and cafes close by and maybe a 10-15 minute walk to piazza Barberini. Only stayed one night as was catching a flight the next day but I wish I stayed here for my previous and longer Rome stay. I will be back next time, not only was the place great but so was the price! This was a comfortable hotel for our time in Rome. Location is very convenient for sightseeing as you are very close to the top of the Spanish Steps. From there an easy walk down through to the Trevi Fountain and onwards to nearby sights- Pantheon, Hadrian Temple and Piazza Navona. Rooms are on the small size as we arranged a single bed in the room for our daughter but it's fine. Given the heat in Rome we were huge fans of the aircon!! Breakfast buffet is modest and the area can get very cramped. There are some larger and higher rated hotels in the area but this hotel is perfectly located at a good price. Bonus is the hop on / hop off bus stop is just across the road. Collapse

This hotel is great for business people or families of all ages. The staff is very friendly and they are able to help you at any time you need help. There is complementary breakfast which is good as well. It is located about 5 or 10 minutes from the Spanish Steps and about 15 minutes or so from some main shopping areas, but at the same time the hotel is on a relatively non-busy street. The room I stayed in had 2 twin beds and 1 king bed with 2 sinks and 1 tub and 1 toilet. It was perfect for a family of 4. Overall, I would suggest any hotel to anyone visiting Rome. Collapse

I walked into the hotel. Completely sleep deprived. I had the grand total of 2 hours of sleep after flying and needed to sleep. I eventually found the hotel with great ease. It's very difficult to miss it due to the fact that it's nearly on the main roads of Versini (I forget if that's the name). For those who wish to save time, I will try to keep the hotel details very brief. The hotel in itself was beautiful and more than I honestly expected. Especially for the price. The staff were incredibly polite and helpful, offering to take my bag up for free as well as clean my room for free. I received two free drink cards (for alcoholic drinks), and I received a complimentary shot of any alcohol I wasn't sure of (this was definitely not hotel protocol. I am quite sure that it was just my sweet talking that got me the shot of drink.) The room itself is quaint. There's nothing extreme. However, having the aircon on maximum temperature after walking in the punishing Roman sun was more than a welcome gift. The TV was satisfactory and the bathroom was top notch. The shower worked properly and released water at a very high pressure. No dribbles or similar. Now, as for the location itself - It's fantastic. It's 5 minutes away from a Metro Station, and if you want to, you can head on into various restaurants on the same street. It's also extremely close to the catacombs as well as an authentic Guido Reni painting. During the time I went, a Caravaggio painting was also on display. For those who don't want to take a metro, the Spanish steps, as well as the Fountain D'Trevi, are only 10 - 15 minutes away if you can battle your way through the multiple legions of flower sellers and selfie stick wielders, from that point onwards, you can walk where-ever. You can more or less walk to Vatican City straight on from the Spanish Steps. The only complaint I have - literally only me - is that the bed was quite hard. Though when you compare this to my memory foam mattress, it's an unfair match. One final thing, the door is keycard operated. Be very careful with your keycard. There are no nasty surprises or costs. Enjoy your stay. I would highly recommend it and I will probably stay there again. Collapse
