Just got back from our break to this hotel and were very impressed. The slides are awesome for the kids and adults. The rooms are spotless and cleaned every night. The majority of staff are friendly and the breakfast was lovely. My lad turned 7 whilst we were there and the hotel sung happy birthday at night to him, gave him a balloon, certificate and some sweets and also a nice cake to take back the room which was great. This was planned before hand so if any of you guys have a birthday before your trip email the hotel. Would definitely go again. The only criticism i would make and a lot of parents were saying this is that the playground is for little kids and there were always bigger kids taking the whole play area up kicking footballs. Someone could easily get hurt and there needs to be a sign saying no football on the park. Some older kids were trying to stop the younger ones from going on the slides as they didn't want there game interrupted. Not impressed with this and at some point some little kid will get seriously hurt. Big kids belting proper footballs around where smaller kids are playing is ridiculous. Appart from that would definitely recommend. Collapse

As we were staying at a another hotel in Benalmadena 2weeks prior to our booking we decided to take a look at Los Patos Park as we had never stayed there before, not realising that it was closed. We were informed that it did not open until 1st April & it looked like a building site. I couldn't believe what greeted us when we arrived 2 weeks later. The hotel had been transformed from a building site into a lovely hotel. The hotel & staff are excellent, they work really hard to make sure that you enjoy your stay. If there's a problem speak to them, if they can sort it they will. There were 3 family's in our party with rooms next to each other on the first floor. We were a little concerned as we were above the bar, but there was very little noise from it, it didn't keep our 18month old grandson awake. I can only comment on the breakfast as were only booked in for bed & breakfast not all inclusive. The dining room staff work really hard to make sure everyone gets seated as quickly as possible. There is everything you can think of for breakfast & plenty of it. The hotel manager Diane is fantastic if you make yourself known to her she will be more than happy to talk to you. My following comments are observations & not criticisms of the hotel or its staff. Los Patos Park like most hotels in Benalmadena are built on quite a steep hill which you will have to walk down to get to the front, this may be a problem for any elderly members of your party. There is a lovely play area for any toddlers, the water park, a toddlers pool & a swimming pool, well staffed but lifeguards. For couples or people travelling without children they might find it a little noisy. There appeared to be plenty of sun beds although they are close together but there is always the beach where you can hire them for €10 for 2 beds with a parasol. The hotel has no tea making facilities in the rooms so be prepared if you your morning cuppa. All in all a clean, tidy, very well managed hotel & we thoroughly enjoyed our stay & wouldn't hesitate to visit again with our grand children. Collapse

Spent a week at Las Patos between 7th - 14th April. It was our second visit after going at this time last year. We again thoroughly enjoyed our time - we stayed half board as we enjoy the flexibility of being able to choose lunch or an evening meal and then eating away from the hotel for our other meal, and the food was excellent again. Even though we weren't all inclusive, drink prices in the evening were very reasonable also. The room we stayed in on the fifth floor had been renovated since last year and looked great - comfortable beds and although you don't spend much time in the rooms they were ideal to crash at the end of the day. Cleaning staff were on hand every day and really looked after us. Staff were excellent - very friendly and welcoming on reception and in the dining area and bars in particular. It was also the first time our daughter was able to attend kids club and again she loved it - staff again very good and activities looked lots of fun (particularly the Easter egg hunt!). Evening entertainment was generally very good - audience participation is encouraged so if that's not for you keep your head down but it was a lot of fun when called upon. Swimming facilities are great, and we spent our time split between pool and beach, with some other activities mixed in as we went. For a young family looking for some sun and to be well looked after at a reasonable price you really can't go wrong here. Recommended! Collapse
