We are just back from a week in the Los Patos Park Hotel. So far this is the best family holiday we have ever been on! First things first make sure you GO All Inclusive, you will save a fortune! We are a family of 4, children aged 6 and 3. We went all Inclusive and stayed in a quadruple room, number 631. The room was modern and obviously recently upgraded. It was on the corner of the hotel, so you could see both the sea and the slides from the balcony but also ment you could sit out with a bit more privacy than those rooms directly facing the pools. The room had two double beds, it also had a flat screen TV with English Disney channel, which was great as the free WiFi in the bedrooms was a bit hit and miss. There was black out blinds and fantastic aircon. We slept better than we had in months! There is also a mini fridge. The rooms were spotless and cleaned every day, loads of fresh towels, hot water and a really powerful shower. The lifts can be very busy at peak meal times, but we just used the stairs and worked off some of the food ;-) We arrived to the hotel just before midnight, check in was only 5 minutes and the kids got beach towels each as a gift which was a great touch. They then directed us to the restaurant where a cold meal was all set up and ready for us as we had missed the dinner. This was just fabulous. Plates of meats, cheeses, salad, bread, fruit and water. Breakfast was 8-10.30, we went down every day around 9 which was perfect as it got very busy by 10. There is literally everything you could ever want for breakfast in a buffet style. Cereals, yogurts, fruits, breads, bacon, sausage, omelettes, pancakes, beans, chips!, And all the beautiful Spanish meats and cheeses. The pools open at 10. So we usually waited in the little playground until they opened. Some people queued, but we weren’t that “obsessed” with getting a perfect sunbed, there are tonnes of them for the sun worshippers! There are 4 pools. A regular one (we called this the adult one!) with a baby pool next to it, and then on the other side, a deep pool with water slides and a very shallow children’s pool, full of small slides and waterfalls, this was the most popular area, we usually found a couple of sunbeds here as a base to go between the kids fun pool and the slides! There is astro turf on all the walkways so no slipping and there is a toilet beside the slides for using in your swimming gear. It has a wooden walkway no slipping either. The main bar is open all day until late and has a large outdoor area with a big hatch to order from the pool side, so a Cava and Orange Juice went down well after the first go down the slides! From 12-7 there is a smaller pool bar that serves drinks, slushies, crisps and ice pops. As well as all the drinks and food, crisps, ice-pops and little tubs of ice-cream are all included in the AI so the kids thought they were great going and ordering their own. The cocktails were fab too, especially the mojitos!! The alcohol included on the AI was all top brand vodka and gin etc. They would make any drink you asked for; it was genuinely the best quality all-inclusive we’ve ever stayed in. Then from 12-7, a snack kiosk beside the main bar, would open. There was burgers, chips, hotdogs etc, it was ALL included in the AI as well, and most days people would go running when it opened! We only used it once on our last day as we were too full generally! The water slides are just brilliant, we had an absolute ball on them as well as the smaller slides in the pirate pool. This helped work up a great appetite for lunch J The slides close from 2-3 everyday so the lifeguards I presume, can have their break, but the pools are still open, unlike what other reviewers wrote!! We always went for lunch then so it didn’t make a difference to us, after lunch the kids would be nearly asleep in their standing so it was family siesta time J There is a kids club there too, but there was so much for the kids to do, we actually didn’t need to use it! Just another good point if travelling with babies, In the restaurant there is baby dinner available, pureed veg and also baby plastic bowls, so you wouldn’t need to bring food for a young child. Dinner was also amazing, the choice of fresh fish every day, prawns, sword fish, tuna, sushi, And the salads were suburb. There would have to be something seriously wrong with you, if you couldn’t find a dish you liked here! After dinner there was a kiddies disco, then the main entertainment, dancers, acrobats, etc, which I thought we wouldn’t like at all, but they were quite good and the kids were just glued to them, so we could relax and enjoy our cocktails! After the main act was usually more dancing that the parents had to get up for, so we took it in turns embarrassing ourselves each night!! In bed before 12 most nights after a night cap out on our balcony. On our last day I had requested a room extension as our flight wasn’t until 9.00pm, they had advised on email we would have to check with them the day before, unfortunately our room was booked but there was a double room just down the hall that we could have for the day so that was perfect. It was €30 and even better they extended our all inclusive right up until we left the hotel. Amazing service! We were then able to enjoy the whole day, the kids got to swim, have a sleep and a bath so were absolute angels on the flight home J We only actually left the hotel twice to go to the beach; the location is perfect, 1 minute walk to the beach. The pomade and Marina are all in sight from there. We know the area well as have stayed here many times and the kids love the beach, so had to take them for a swim. We rented sunbeds for a couple of hours and bought them buckets and spades. The hotel will also make you a picnic (on the all-inclusive package!) if you ask them too, but we brought a few bits from breakfast for the kids to snack on and had lunch out on the promenade. All in all, an amazing holiday, in a spotless hotel with very friendly hard working staff. We will definitely be returning! Collapse

This is, by far, the best family holiday I've ever had. It's hard to find fault with the Los Patos Park Hotel. The hotel manages to cater for large numbers, whilst still making you feel cared for as an individual. Staff are, without exception. friendly, helpful and welcoming. I'll break it down into paragraphs to make for easier reading. I've also included photographs.. Bedrooms: ours was a corner room, number 503, and was quite spacious. The beds are firm, but very comfortable. The room was recently decorated in white and exceptionally clean. There was a large double mirrored door wardrobe, with shelves, which were ample for three of us, perhaps not as much room as 4 people might like, but certainly not a small space to keep your belongings. There's also a TV with quite a few British channels, including BBC1, ITV, Sky News and children's channels. The bathroom was spotless and fully functional with a powerful hot shower, a bath, a vanity basin with sink, toilet and bidet. There is also a nice size balcony with an airing line, which came in handy for wet swimsuits and towels. Our room overlooked the car park, but there was a lovely view of the sea. It was quiet, except for one or two noisy neighbours on a couple of nights, but that's not the hotel's fault. Food: without doubt, this is the hotel's outstanding feature. The best buffet food I've ever had in an all inclusive hotel restaurant. The meat was tender, the fish perfectly cooked and variable, including swordfish, sea bass, hake, cod, salmon and some fish we'd never heard of! Lunch and dinner are always accompanied by a variety of fresh vegetables. There's a huge separate counter loaded with gorgeous salads! I read on an earlier review that someone thought the food became boring - I have to disagree; we stayed for ten days and were never bored with the food. If you are looking for English fayre, this is also offered and there's plenty of options for fussy children, such as nuggets, fish fingers, goujons, pasta, pizza and chips at every meal time. There's also a lovely selection of noodles, rice and other Asian influenced foods every evening. Desserts are simply amazing - variety of ice creams, cakes, custards, rice puddings, jellies and a plethora of fresh fruit. Breakfast is also plentiful, with the usual continental choice plus cereals and a huge selection of cooked foods to make up the traditional English breakfast, including black pudding some days! The coffee and juice machines are high quality, producing delicious drinks to supplement breakfast. At other meal times, the restaurant bar is open for wines and soft drinks etc. The restaurant is brightly lit and linen table cloths and napkins are used for lunch and dinner. No plastic anywhere! If I had one criticism, it would be the noise level in the restaurant, but this is to be expected with so many families dining at the same time. If you go earlier, it's much quieter. Pools: in a word, fantastic! The kiddies pirate ship pool is just wonderful for smaller children. Our three year old virtually lived in the pools. She also ventured up to the bigger pool which has a variety of slides and tubes for older kids and adults alike. For those wanting a quieter time, the lower pools are available and no inflatables etc are permitted, so it really is a quiet pool. As for safety, this is outstanding; there are lifeguards in attendance all day on all three pool areas. As mentioned before in other reviews, the queuing for the pools is a pain, but it's a fair system. We went out of season, so only had to queue for 30 minutes, but it was well worth it to ensure a good spot by the pool. Hygiene and cleanliness - again, exceptional. Cleaners are present and busy for much of the day. You will see them cleaning everywhere you go. I've never seen a package holiday hotel pay so much attention to cleanliness. Entertainment: Evening - A mixture of acrobatics, fun games, dancing, bird shows, flamenco and various other dance acts. Nothing jaw dropping, but an enjoyable way to spend an hour or two in the evenings. During the day, there's plenty of stuff going on for adults and children alike, all of which is listed on the board in reception. What I liked most about the entertainment was that that it wasn't 'in your face' and there was no pressure to take part, but it's there if you want it. To sum up, this hotel is brilliant for families of all ages. It's not suitable for honeymooners or those who want a quiet holiday, but then it doesn't advertise itself as such. There are various awards displayed in reception and in the Customer Service office (led by the very helpful and charming Diane), all of which are testament to this fantastic holiday resort. If you're looking for a resort where your children will be happy and where the food is outstanding, this is the place for you. We will be back next year, because we can't imagine anywhere better to spend a family holiday. Collapse

Returned from a family holiday yesterday and wanted to give this hotel a top review...!! Me and my partner and our two children (22mths & 9mths) ... We had a excellent stay and loved the hotel.. food was fantastic... all staff was very helpful... we stayed all-inclusive basis and found it very good value for money... hotel was situated a 40 minute stroll from the marina but I thought it was perfect as not noisy and everything could be walked too... at the end of the road was a few bars and more as you ventured towards the marina... would highly recommend this hotel for young families.. the water park was great ... We found sitting in the lower area was more quiet and baby could crawl on the Astro turf...(great idea as no falling and banging heads on concrete/slabs)... and the toddler could get in baby pool ,big pool and a short walk to splash park... we obviously didn't go on large water park as kids too young but it looked great... Would return again as was really pleased ... Simon, Bec, Noah & Willow Collapse

I will review from a single parents perspective. Lovely, clean room with basic facilities and free wifi (a god send for a tired mum at the end of a busy day!) The pools and park are brilliant and very compact so you know little ones aren't far away at any time and you always have them in site. Food absolutely gorgeous and good broad selection from salads, pasta, soups, meats and fish etc with a selection of desserts also. Staff are friendly and helpful at all times. The location of the hotel is good also as there is the beach, town and sea life centre within a half hour walk. For those who haven't hired a car it's a god send to have things locally to do. Only on day 2 of 7 but I would definitely recommend for families and single parents such as myself!! Excellent ! Collapse

This is a great hotel which is without a doubt the cleanest and best maintained that I've stayed in for a family holiday anywhere in Europe. Prior to the pools opening on a morning there must be twenty something staff cleaning the toilets, lobby, pool area and grounds. On the subject of staff, the whole place is manned by friendly and polite personnel from the cleaners, reception and bar staff right up to Diane in Guest Relations and the manager Charles, a very nice man who I got on well with. I can't remember all of the names but a special mention to bar staff Ruben and A. Bueno and also to Salva, the restaurant Maitre d' who my six year old autistic boy had a great rapport with. The rooms are very clean and modern with a visit from the maids every day. A couple of small negatives with our room was that there are no drawers available at all and despite there being a dressing table there is no mirror on it which I think is essential for the ladies on holiday. One other negative is that if you have a pool facing room there is a lot of noise until quite late from drinkers and kids running riot around the play ground but this is something we got used to. The food selection in the main dining hall is fantastic, especially if like myself you're a fan of fresh salad and seafood. Every day there is beautifully presented salad with either king prawns, sushi, squid or mussels as well as various other fish from the hot counters. Despite the pools not opening until 10:00 am which involves queuing at a ridiculous time if you want the best spots, this doesn't spoil how great the kiddies pools and slides are. My little boy absolutely loved them as did every other kid there as far as I could tell. The hotel is in a good location which is a very short walk away from the beach. Also, if like myself you can't do without a newspaper and Sky Sports for two weeks there is a gift shop selling papers about five minutes walk away and also a cracking little sports bar called Coco's even closer than this showing loads of live sport and serving nice bar food. The Marina is also a must visit for the shops and nice bars and restaurants. All in all, this is a great family hotel which we would not hesitate to come back to. Thank you Charles and all of your staff for a fantastic family holiday! Collapse
