As others have mentioned this is basic accommodation. but excellent value for the money. It has to be said although dated, the rooms and complex are kept clean. We had our allocated 2 towel changes and 1 bed linen change and this is more than you get in some 2 star self catering apartments. Yes the fan is feeble but free I understand you can hire more if needed. We asked for an upper floor room but were allocated a ground floor room. However this turned out to be a real plus as the room (59) opened up onto the pool area which was very handy to change , cool off, loo etc. Previous reviews mention the sun loungers. On the second day the loungers were changed to the type that have adjustable headrests. Location - flat easy stroll to main restaurants etc enough choice for all. For entertainment Jimmy Hills has childrens stuff early then a different tribute type band each night. We also loved the sunset bar turn sharp left from the complex and it's just on the end looking out to sea and more important the amazing sunset every night! Food - Our favourites were Bianco and the Masala Indian we visited both of these twice. Great value, Great weather. Just go an enjoy yourselves ! Collapse
A decent 2 star accomodation with some very good bits, if you get a sea view.

This is a difficult one because Los Lentiscos was exactly as I expected it to be, which was average holiday accommadation...with some really good bits. The apartment itself - one twin bedroom, sofa bed in the lounge/diner and dining table with four chairs. All good, basic stuff. The kitchen area had a two ring hob but no oven, a two slice toaster and a kettle and enough cups saucers and plates to service 4 people. A very decent fridge freezer and a small flatscreen TV that received BBC1 were also present. My only real gripeI was that there was no safe within the apartment but I was able to hire a safety deposit box (drawer more like) which is situated beside reception. In our apartment (No.118) the door from the living area led onto our balcony, which had an exceptional sea view, perfect for watching the sun going down, a quite spectacular sight. Any apartment in the even numbers 102 to 124 will afford you this spectacular view. You can pay for internet access - 15 Euros for a week allowing access for up to 4 phones/tablets. We were some distance from the reception and my daughter was still able to access youtube and other sites, without any problem, so I thought it was worth the money. We were there from 10-17 June and it was exceptionally warm all week, especially during the night. The apartments do not have air conditioning or ceiling fans, so it was during the night that it's true,2 star level came to the fore. A small portable fan was supplied but it wasn't enough to deal with the heat in both rooms and even leaving windows and doors open offered no respite, because of the humidity. Maid service was rather random with the towels being changed twice over the course of the week and the bed linen also changed twice. Other than that, that was it for maid service. That said, we are generally tidy anyway and generally do all our own sweeping, cleaning, etc so it never really bothered us. The pool area had plenty of room for sunbathing and the hard plastic loungers were plentiful if somewhat uncomfortable. The pool itself was a good temperature but I did hear some folk mention that it was turning the white parts of swimsuits, a greeny / yellow colour. TIP....Wear dark swimsuits or swimshorts, if you can. The snack bar was reasonably priced and sold the usual snack fare of burgers/toasties/pizzas/chips. Also had some tapas available. THE RESORT. The location of the apartments is good - walk out the front door at reception and keep on going and you are heading for the restaurants, bars and shops. There are several good restaurants but it's all a question of personal taste so what I like, others may not. However, I really do not think you will go wrong if you visit Bianco, Haiti, Es Replec, Cuore and L'Ancora restaurants. As for bars, I'm kind of biased towards Bar 61 - It's a karaoke bar with a quiz night on Thursday and Sunday but Jose, Steve and Pedro will keep you well watered and enteratined till 3.30am (if you want to go that long). All in all, Los Lentiscos is a decent 2star apartment block which will not disappoint - providing you don't look for too much from it. Collapse

Came here on the 5th June for 11 nights. Hotel and staff were nice, pool was warm and room was ok apart from the sofa beds which were very uncomfortable. We came here with 2 children as the photos of the play park looked good however this has been grassed over now and does not exist which was disappointing. Please be aware as many of the travel companies still show the hotel to have a play area! Collapse

First of all we got an excellent deal with the holiday and being realist we went without any real expectations other than somewhere to use as a base. On arrival we were surprised at the overall size and space around the apartments which are over 2 blocks, both of which have their own pool. Our apartment was room 154 and at the rear block with the smaller pool, however we spent our days sunbathing at the larger pool next to the bar area. There were quite a few families with kids but still quiet enough to get a quick 40 winks in. The food at the apartments we had was really nice and fairly priced. Enough loungers around so we didn't need to hunt for them any day. The complex is fairly quite and a 5 minute stroll from the main strip of restaurants and bars. Whether you have kids or not i'd def recomment jimmy hills. It's a bit like butlins in the sun!. Things to keep the kids amused while the adults enjoy the entertainment each night. The service is also excellent. The rooms were basic but clean and spacious. There's no air con however and in june this made it reallt difficult to sleep at night, even with the window open as then we heard every car, bike, person walk past. For that reason i'd recommend asking for a room around the larger pool as these rooms don't back onto a road so imagine quiter. Staff were friendly, maid service was good. Overall we had a great holiday and would go back Collapse

Just got back with my 7 yr old. We had an amazing time and it was definitely above my expectations. The apts were basic but clean and more than adequate. The staff were lovely and the location was fab. Really family friendly and lots of children. Would definitely consider going again. The weather was perfect end of may in high 20's. Will be requesting an apt by the pool if we go again as they were really convenient and saved you having to keep going back to the room. We were recommended a small Cove 5 mins walk away called calan forcat, so picturesque it's a must visit. Can't really fault the holiday. Collapse
