Spent just one night, wish we had stayed for longer. Had the trip for our wedding anniversary. Excellent location for shopping, theatre. We also went to the Victoria and Albert museum for the Pink Floyd exhibition which was no problem to get too. On arrival to the hotel we were given an upgrade which was great as it was a special occasion. The front of house staff made us feel most welcomed, The upgrade was a suite which was fantastic and spotless. Shortly after arriving a member of staff knocked on our room door with a decorated plate with a anniversary cake for us. We had drinks before we left for the theatre and the staff were very nice and made you feel special. On returning from the theatre our room had been refreshed with complimentry coffee, tea and the bed turned down, everything you would expect from a 5 star hotel. I would not hesitate to stay there again. Collapse

He was superb with us during our stay. Every member of the team was very welcoming and because of this the hotel has grown in my estimations. We'll be back to see you guys soon!! Collapse

Spent 5 nights here on points (keep in mind that you get 5 nights for 4 nights worth of points). The hotel was beautiful, but since it's in London it's smaller than North American hotels. The check in requires that you sit down at a desk rather than stay standing and there's stairs in the lobby which mean that you have to lift luggage (granted the stairs are beautiful and marble and there are lots of people are around who are willing to help). The room we had only had a double bed, even though it was an upgrade (again chalk it up to it being in Europe and the room being smaller). The room was GORGEOUS! The bathroom had marble everywhere, the toilet seat was heated (and had an electronic bidet if you're into that kind of thing). The service director had sent up prosecco and chocolate covered strawberries to welcome us. As a platinum member we had access to the lounge and received complementary breakfast and there was an evening meal/drinks available also included. The issues we had with the room were primarily with housekeeping, for three of the four days only one bath towel was provided for two people, holiday inn gets that part right. Then we left a note on day three of having to request more towels and they didn't provide a bath mat, day 5 they got it right so maybe there was a shortage of linens or something but even still they should have had enough towels for each guest. Stayed here 6 nights recently on our visit to London. This is a nice Marriott in a great location. Hotel is across the street from the Marble Arch. Close to tube and bus stops, including the hop on hop off buses. Also easy walking to many sites and great shopping. Pictures show this as historic building and part of it is, but entrance and our room is in the adjacent building around the corner. Our room was small, but most are in Europe. But it had a nice terrace and was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom is all marble and very nice. Shower pressure was just okay and I prefer a removable wand. Staff was obviously well trained. Very friendly and helpful. The executive lounge had a nice breakfast and snacks in the evening. It got crowded at peak times but the staff was great. This is a great choice for London. Collapse

This was a second stay. This time with our two grandsons -11 & 12. Needless to say they loved the pool (see photos) it is incredible, and it also accompanies a very nice steam room and showers. The spa changing rooms are perfect. The concierge executive lounge was very busy in the am--difficult to find a place to sit. The food selection ok for adults and european tastes, but not so good for the boys. The atmosphere is very club like and perfect for an afternoon drink or early snack. We had dinner on one occasion, and it was good. The rooms(we had 2) were terrific, very quiet and the beds typically comfortable Marriott beds. We were on the top floor 5 and they were excellent. The elevators work rapidly and rarely have to wait. All personnel encountered were terrific. The concierges were very helpful with tips, advises, requests, etc. We cannot say enough about the hotel and the people from the doorman to the engineer who came to fix a stuck drain--which was no real problem. When in London again, most probably will stay here again! Collapse
