A very clean well run hotel three blocks from the Gloucester tube stop in an area of many other hotels priced well for London. Also that tube stop is on the Picadilly and circle and district lines so it is good for transport. The breakfast buffet is grand and great. The rooms are typical and clean. Staff is helpful. The hotel has no particular character otherwise and that is fine nonetheless. Collapse

We stayed here 3 yrs ago and decided to return this year. We have gold status so were able to have free breakfast and executive lounge privileges during our week stay. This hotel is within walking several blocks of two tube stations - Gloucester and Earl's Court, each of which we've used. We took the tube from Heathrow direct to Earl's Court and walked to the hotel. As flights come from the U.K. very early, we were pleased that we did not have to wait long before our room was ready. The staff is up to Marriott standards, with several going the extra mile to meet our needs. The 74 bus is right in front of the hotel and you can go easily to the Victoria and Albert Museum and shopping around Harrod's. The British Museum is not close, but easy to get to via tube or bus by transferring. There is a grocery store near the Gloucester tube exit and also across from the Marriott. The latter seems to be used by locals for everyday shopping, while the former seems to cater more to commuters picking up lunch, etc. Suggestion - get an Oyster pass before you get onto the tube; you will save money. We were there for a vacation and did not see a reason to pay for the Heathrow Express that is touted in several places in the airport. We had no worries about safety. Oh, one more thing...there is a health clinic run by the National Health Service where you can see a doctor if need be on the walk between Earl's Court and the hotel. We had to pay cash when we went 3 years ago. Collapse

Stayed there for a family vacation in London. The location is OK, a bit far from the city center but the hotel is close enough to two tube stations. Most London Marriott hotels are overpriced but this one is reasonable. The hotel is little dated but is clean and well maintained. We had AC issues in our room and they never fixed. The staff is polite and helpful. We also had access to the executive lounge which provides breakfast and light bites in the evening. They also serve alcoholic drinks during happy hours in the evening. A big thump up to the staff working in the lounge who did excellent job to provide great service. Collapse

We stayed for two nights in late April 2017 arriving very late from Heathrow for check-in, it was after midnight. We were welcomed so kindly despite the late hour. Ordering from the room service menu, we were able to get dinner and the food was delicious and plentiful. Our room was the most spacious of any I have experienced in London. Everything was pristine in the room, the bedding lovely, the bed so comfortable, the breakfast service tray was appreciated. The staff helped us navigate the neighborhood to get to the tube station and there were many restaurants along Cromwell Road. We enjoyed a dinner and a breakfast in the Marriott and both meals were very good. I can't wait to go back and would stay at the Marriott Kensington with pleasure and assurance. Collapse
Avoid at all cost
I stayed here due to the large family room. The air conditioning did not properly cool the room. The bathroom had no venilation and caused mold in the shower. The staff made promises but did nothing. I would avoid this hotel.
