We choose to stay here on many London visits. It is efficient, comfortable and walking distance to many shops and restaurants. It's quiet location is on grosvenor square near the American embassy. The restaurant is good and quick. We will return.

Hotel has a great location near Hyde Park and Oxford Street. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. With that said, the TV picture quality is somewhat poor and isn't sharp and feels like it has poor connection, good that I had my iPad to watch Netflix in excellent picture quality. Staff is very nice and forthcoming. The gym is well equipped. Overall it was a good stay for a night, will defiantly consider to choose this location again, not necessarily a TV person per se so can over look that bit. Collapse

I booked this hotel for myself, my Mother and her sister for their 50th birthday celebrations. I chose the Marriott Grosvenor Square because of its location and because I wanted my Mum to get a feel for the Mayfair experience. I booked an executive room which would sleep three people, it was big, very well cleaned, had a very comfortable king sized bed (and a not so comfortable sofa bed) and had everything required to make our stay a great one. The staff were remarkably pleasant and helpful, particularly those who worked within the club lounge who took an interest in all aspects of our stay and were very helpful in the advice they provided regarding what we might like to see and do whilst in London. The housekeeping was fantastic and could not be faulted, going that extra mile to ensure our stay was as comfortable as possible and providing us with fresh bottled water each night after noticing that we had purchased some on the first night. The club lounge was a fantastic aspect of our stay, providing the option of a continental breakfast, afternoon tea, hors d'oeuvres, desserts and selection of lovely wines in the evening. The staff were fabulous and the overall atmosphere was very relaxed; a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of the busy streets at times. The reason I rated this hotel 4* rather than 5 is down to an issue we encountered when we first checked in. On entering our room and inspecting it, we found that the sofa bed had not been used in quite some time. This is fair enough on its own however, the fact that it had not been cleaned for quite some time was less acceptable. The bed, when folded out, was already made with linen and pillows and was strewn with remnants of dried food and rubbish that had fallen through gaps in the sofa cushions. This is something that had obviously been overlooked due to the fact that the sofa bed is not used often. I called reception who apologised and immediately arranged for housekeeping to clean the bed and re-make with fresh linen. I was happy with this resolution and pleased in how quickly the issue was dealt with. Later that evening I was approached by one of the very pleasant front desk staff who asked if everything was now fine with the bed and explained that she had passed the information on to the hotel manager who was "considering appropriate compensation for the inconvenience". I found this to be a very classy touch and was pleased to see the hotel taking pride in the quality of the service they provide. It is for this reason that I was so disappointed when this "compensation" (whatever small token it may have been) was never offered or mentioned again throughout the remainder of our stay. I feel it should not have been mentioned in the first place. Overall, I would stay in this hotel again. The rooms are highly priced because of the fabulous location but the staff certainly make the experience. Collapse

Hotel has great location. Service was acceptable, I experienced sometime very good sometime is disappointing. Caution is the room size is fairly small. I may have stayed more than 5-6 times in this hotel and the reason to return is because of location but I always disappointed in their room size but since I'm mostly on business, hence I do no need to spend much time in the hotel, therefore it does not bother me much. The gym is so small and not worth, so best to go running in Hyde park which is only few mins away. One caution, my last stay my room was located on 1 floor just above the service garage and you can hear all the noise including garbage truck every morning. Collapse

Location is great in Mayfair near oxford street. However hotel is starting to feel old and run down. Rooms are extremely small, restaurant breakfast was average. I would consider staying in hotel only if prices were way lower than what we paid almost 300 pounds a night for a regular room. Staff were nice and check in was fast. Collapse
