A truly 5-star hotel in an awesome location in Central London. The hotel is located across from the Westminster Abby/Big Ben and literally right behind the London Eye. It is just steps away from all the hustle and bustle of London. The underground tube station is also steps away. Local and tourist buses stop right outside the hotel. It is about a mile or so away from Trafalgar and Leicester Square. London is a great city to explore by foot or via public transportation (easy to follow and figure out - you can a day pass and use it at tubes and buses). It is about 2 miles from Oxford and Bond street where all the shopping stores are located. And about 2-3 miles from London or Tower Bridge. Uber is reasonably priced should you decide to use it. The hotel itself is great - nice size rooms and amenities. If you are in London for business or leisure, this hotel will not disappoint you. All in all will stay here again! Collapse

Attended a business lunch here, as I do every year. Great ambience about the whole Hotel, and the food is always good - very well prepared, and ample portions. The "stand-out" feature for me is the quality of the service. Smiling staff, genuinely pleased to help, and on the ball at all times. The best I've ever known in a large Hotel. With such people around, it makes a significant difference to the whole dining experience. Collapse

Our second visit, on first glance it may seem off the beaten path but a perfect location to see another side of London. Great place to have the kids as there is much to do at this location, London Eye, Cruises, London Dungeon. As well as walk to Globe Theatre and the lively scene on the Bankside. Beautiful Concierge lounge with great views. The rooms are very spacious and quiet. And a huge health club and pool makes this a special hotel. Collapse

I travel to London regularly and attend an 800-person conference each year at a hotel down the street. I have always visited the Marriott County Hall as it is a much quieter, more private venue for meetings and meals. The main restaurant is Gillray's; it is smaller and much more intimate when measured against the size and location of the property. On my visit last month, I was greeted by our server, Sanda. "You have come here before", she said. "I have served you in the past; welcome back!'. I was having lunch with an important client; needless to say, this made quite an impression. Sanda was a waiter that knew her job well, and clearly worked will with the management and bussing staff of the space. She promoted a daily chicken special, not because she was told to, rather because she had eaten the dish on a previous day and could recommend it personally. When my guest indicated that he would like a glass of a particular wine, she gently guided him to one that she felt would go better with the dish. The combination was a big hit with my important guest. I do stop in regularly, but the welcome from Sanda and the outstanding service, paired with location and excellent food, has made the location one that I will recommend to my colleagues traveling to London. Well done! Collapse

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in April 2017. I'd stayed here before but since it has been renovated, it is wonderful. Breakfast in the concierge lounge was fantastic. We were walking distance to the London Eye, Westminster Abbey, The Houses of Parliament, The Duck Boats, Waterloo Train Station, The Underground, everything really. The location has gotten much more developed over the years. Can't wait to return. The only drawback is the the hallways are LONG. Once we got off the elevator, we had to walk and walk and walk and walk to get to our room. At the end of a long day, this was not what we wanted to do. Overall this hotel is excellent. Yes, I would recommend it and Yes, I will stay here again! Collapse
