So this property has certainly had a facelift which brings with it good things and bad things. To start with the good the property now appears fresher and brighter. The rooms are much nicer and new TV's have also been installed. The new showers are fancy but don't provide a lot of pressure. And with only an ON/OFF button you have no way of controlling that. Now for the bad things and there are unfortunately a few. So while this hotel used to offer 3 restaurants (or 2 and 1 bar) if memory serves they're now down to one. This restaurant named Carluccio's now limits your options to only(!) Italian food while there was previously an Italian as well as American/International and food in the bar. So not a great development. Especially not when it's pasta or pizza and a very limited number of other dishes. If you're on a low carb diet or similar then keep walking... I tried the steak there but was unable to eat it even after having a new one brought out. The steak itself had absolutely no flavor (salt and pepper anyone?) and as the chef didn't let it rest after cooking it came in a sea of blood (twice). Of course it probably didn't help that the "steaks" are 5 mm thick making it impossible to sear them properly. I sent it back a second time and opted not to eat anything else. Fair enough it's not a steak house but even I cook better steak then that. And for £18??? Add to that the fact that the staff has absolutely no personality or hospitality and well... Luckily there is a pub just around the corner so no need to eat in the hotel as I certainly will not be again. The executive lounge has also had a facelift. It's gotten a very modern look with diner-style couches along the walls. It is now also VERY bright even in the evenings. They do offer a bit of food/snacks in the evenings and some drinks to go with that. But that said the food in the evenings used to be a lot better in the lounge so a big step back there... On that note though the breakfast in the lounge is very good! There are many options around Heathrow but if you, like me, would like to stay with the Marriott brand then there's only the Renaissance down the road. It much older but has a nice bar as well as several dining options. Collapse

I am a Marriott Platinum Elite Card holder and use Marriott extensively. Check in was a very welcoming experience and everything processed very professionally and quickly by well presented, nicely dressed staff. I spent two nights here in a refurbished room which was excellent, as always, a seriously comfortable bed ensured a good nights sleep. The facilities in the Executive Lounge were perfect, I only used it for breakfast, but did sample the canapés on offer from early evening. I ate in at Carluccio’s and was made most welcome in what was a busy restaurant, I had grilled Tuna which was cooked to total perfection. and was very reasonably priced at about £15 if I am correct. Housekeeping kept my room spotless. There are many things that make this hotel, excellent, but one in which they excel, is the genuine warmth of all the customer facing staff. I look forward to my next visit. Access to Central London is very convenient, a free bus takes you to Hatton Cross station and then on to the Piccadilly Line and within 45 mins or so you can be walking down Bond Street ! Collapse

We booked a one night stopover with parking before our Florida trip. We chose the Marriott because it's convenient (there aren't really options within walking of T3 yet) and has an indoor pool and good restaurant. As an experience, it was pretty faultless. I got the app and checked in online beforehand so all was ready. The reception was getting a bit of work done, but was spacious and good, and there was an excellent welcome. The room was modern, clean and outward facing so we had natural light. It was also a good size and had everything we needed including a great TV. We made use of the pool which was a good addition so almost felt like our holiday started early. We booked Carluccio's albeit we probably didn't need to as it was pretty quiet. The food was excellent. Also the bar was great with excellent cocktails beforehand. They arranged for a taxi for us which arrived on time the next morning (they advised the bus was erratic and for two people the taxi was good value). We left our car there, got a black cab back on our return and all was good. Highly recommended for a Healthrow airport hotel. Collapse
