Having been to Orlando a number of times, this is the first year we stayed at an on-site Hotel and I was really surprised at how much it enhanced our holiday. This hotel is really close to the parks to walk but there is also a boat or bus. Staff were very attentive and we stayed in a Club room so had access to the Lounge, which was a great addition. Staying here also allowed us into the parks early and gave us express passes which during peak season was a fantastic bonus. We loved it so much we came back for another night just before we came home and would come back again Collapse

We stayed at the Royal Pacific Resort for 1 night in July 2017. On arrival at around 8am we were surprised to find that our room was ready, we were given a personalized room key each and instructions on how to obtain our Universal Express Passes. This was done quickly and easily and we made our way to the room. On arrival at our room, which was on the ground floor we were all taken by how modern and fresh the room was. This truly is a lovely hotel. We then made our way via the resorts free water taxi straight to the Universal City Walk area. This gives very quick and easy access to any of the two Universal parks or City Walk. (Incidentally, you also get access to the parks 1 hour earlier than normal, which we utilized the following day) The Express Passes were fantastic in either park, I don't think we waited any longer than 20 minutes in line for any ride, Harry Potter included. The water taxis run right up to 2.15am should you be in City Walk till closing. We ate at VIVO Italian Kitchen in City Walk which deserves its own review. (Recommended) On checkout we were told we were all square with no monies due. The only spoiler to our stay was when we received notification that our Revolut card had been charged with a fee of $18.20, which we queried when we returned to the hotel to collect our luggage after our visit to the parks. We were asked whether we had drank the water in our room. We hadn't, in fact there was no water in our room on arrival. The only explanation I can think of is the maid has reported empty water bottles in the bin. These were bottles we took to the room ourselves. We have been told this charge will be refunded, but it may be worth keeping an eye on. Can't recommend this hotel enough though. It's definitely worth a stay, even if it is just for a night like we did as the Express Passes are fantastic and the resort itself is stunning. Staff also deserve a mention as every one of them were a pleasure. Collapse

I stayed for 4 nights and 5 days during my trip to Universal Studios and I was not disappointed. The hotel is absolutely beautiful. It was super clean and from the second we walked through the door, the staff was extremely nice and welcoming. The staff members are some of the friendliest people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. The rooms were nice and spacious and very well taken care of. The pool is very large and has shallow areas for younger children to play in. It also has a large spray park area as well. The food there is amazing. We ate at Jake's American Bar and Emeril's Tchoup Chop. I would definitely recommend eating at Emeril's. It was a beautiful restaurant with amazing Asian-style food. The hotel is super close to CityWalk and Universal Studios. There's a boat that can take you there in less than five minutes. On top of all of this, we were able to get fast passes for both Universal Studios and Island of Adventure with the package we got (which I highly recommend). We got on all of the rides in less than 5 minutes with these fast passes, which were exclusive to this resort. My stay here was an incredible experience and I can't wait to go back. Collapse

We have just returned from a holiday in the USA and stayed in 4 different hotels. Loews Royal Pacific was by far the best. The room was very spacious and comfortable. It was very modern and we had the most pleasant stay there. The location was excellent as well as the different amenities. What stood out the most was the fantastic service from all hotel staff. I would like to make special mention of the staff at the Islands Restaurant, especially John the manager as well as Mustapha one of the senior waiters. Mustapha had a fantastic friendly attitude and one could see that he loves his job and takes an interest in the people he meets and serves. His positive and friendly attitude made us request for him to serve us at the various meals. I would without doubt go back to this hotel!! Collapse

I LOVED this hotel. I was there three days and two nights. The rooms were nice and bathroom was a treat. The beds were extremely comfortable. There are several dining options and none are a bad choice. If your hungry you gotta try the shipwrecked loaded nachos by the pool. Everything I ate was top notch. The staff was always pleasant and wanting to help. I will stay here again in the future. Although it is a little more per night it is a better bargain when you consider the amenities and the express passes you get for free with your stay. In the end it cost us less than the offsite value hotels. If your going to Universal this is where you want to be. Collapse
