We stayed at the Loews Royal Pacific Resort for a fast trip to Universal. Since we were only staying one night, I wasn't as particular in the hotel room size, rather wanted a convenient location to park (rental car) and walk to the parks. We have stayed at the Grand Floridian prior to this trip and that hotel is fantastic. Our room was small, but acceptable. Decor was very nice/tasteful. The bathroom was a single vanity/sink, but clean. We have 3 children (6, 8 & 9). We requested a roll-away and the hotel provided one at no additional charge. It worked great by moving a chair and table. The bed was pretty rough- springs could be felt and there was very little padding. In the middle of the night, my 6 year old climbed into my bed. The queen beds in the room were very comfortable. There were also a ton of outlets and USB chargers in the room which helped with the iPads, phones, etc. The resort was nice, but not over the top. We have stayed at very nice places in the past with a more concierge feel (complimentary waters, snacks, etc.). This one did not offer this service, to my knowledge. We ate dinner at Emerill's Tchop-chop restaurant on property and it was good (not great, but definitely good). It has more of a casual feel, but the food was good. My husband got the scallops and I had the braised beef. Kids had spaghetti & a burger. They were basic kid style. No additional sides (would have been nice to have a small side of fruit of veggies). The cocktails were very good and the desserts were ok. I would go back. We never took the water taxi to the park, but it was very close and convenient. We did walk and it took about 8-10 minutes. Staying at the hotel provide early admittance to the one park. That's great, but let's be honest, there was no way we were going to get up at 5:30 a.m., get kids ready, fed and be waiting at the gates for a 7:00 a.m. admittance. We were in the line, right at 8:00 a.m. when general public were admitted. The line took all of 5 minutes to get through and was a breeze. Our whole purpose for the trip was Harry Potter World, so we made a dash to Diagon Alley. It was pretty crowded, so those guests that got early entry definitely used it. No line was longer than 20 minutes or so.Overall nice visit and nice hotel. Collapse

My husband and I got married at the Loews Royal Pacific Resort in Orlando and had the best experience there. We had the opportunity to work with such a wonderful group of people. To start with Lori Maslowski the Catering Manager was AWESOME. She made us feel like we were welcome there and took care of us like we were her own children. We have been married for less than two weeks and we still talk about Lori as if was our mother. Lori made sure that our wedding was special and exactly what we wanted. She is such a great listener and made sure we were satisfied with everything. On our wedding day the attention we received was one to remember. If you are getting married want to have your wedding at the Loews Royal Pacific resort be sure to ask for Lori Maslowski. You will be very pleased. Another individual at the Loews Royal Pacific Resort in Orlando that made our stay one to remember is Tara Botts. Tara is part of a wonderful team at Jake’s American Bar at Loews Royal Pacific Resort. For our rehearsal dinner Tara made sure we had the best time with our close friends and family. When you are at Jake’s American Bar it feels like you are part of the team and not just guests. Not only we had our rehearsal dinner at Jake’s, we also went back for dinner because of the awesome treatment we received. Again, we have only been married for about two weeks and my husband already wants to start planning our 5 years vowels renewal Loews Royal Pacific Resort. If you are at Loews Royal Pacific Resort stop by Jake’s and get treated like royalty. Collapse

Got here before noon knowing that the check in is 4 pm but hoping we could get in a little early. It is 4 of us 2 adults a 5 yr old and a 2 yr old that needs a nap. We checked in and were told our room would may not be ready until 4pm. At 4:15 after being at the park we walked back to the hotel and were told our room was not ready and they didn't know when it would be ready. They comped our night and gave us breakfast here at the hotel which was nice but our daughter needs a nap or our night is ruined. So we are sitting in the lobby at 5:30pm and our room still isn't ready. Can I just ask a question? We have a kids suite. Royal Pacific, wouldn't it make sense to clean the kids suites first since the little ones may need to take naps? Collapse

We stayed here for 1 night as part of our honeymoon. Staff were very accommodating in upgrading our room, which turned out to be amazing! Hotel is Hawaiian themed and is very clean and well maintained. The hotel is ideal if you are visiting Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure or City Walk - they are a short and pleasant 10 minute walk or shorter water taxi ride. You also get the added benefit of the express pass to use at the parks. Overall we received excellent service from the friendly staff and is good choice if you are visiting the Universal them parks. Our family of 5 stayed here back in August for 6 days. Customer service and amenities are excellent. Big plus to have the fast pass for universal parks. My 6 y/o was able to get into the rides he liked at least twice because we have the fast The hotel is well kept, grounds and pool were clean. Several choices of restaurant within the hotel, but of course the universal citywalk is just a shuttle away where there more restaurants to choice. Overall a pleasabt experience for all of us, will definitely come back. Collapse
