Recently stayed at Hotel Liburna and was really impressed with this hotel. It was very clean, rooms were nice and it was near to the main port and the lovely surrounding town. The island is beautiful and unspoilt. Main accolade as far as we were concerned were the very friendly and helpful staff. We were even presented with a bottle of wine waiting in our room on my husbands birthday. Food is not cordon bleu but nonetheless tasty and there was plenty of choice at the breakfast and evening buffet. Collapse

This is a bright, clean and comfortable hotel with good views across the bay to the old town of Korcula. The staff are friendly and helpful and our room with balcony and sea views was great to stay in for a week. There is a short - 15 minute flat walk to the old town along the water's edge and past all kinds of bars and restaurants. We, as an adult couple enjoyed the views, the bar, the outdoor areas around the pool and the walks along the sea front - but it is not suitable for children. The pool is deep with no shallow end and is not fenced off in any way. The buffet breakfast is typical of Croatian hotels with a wide range of hot and cold choices. There should be something for everyone, but the coffee and fruit juices - both from machines - were awful - really bad and almost undrinkable. The restaurants in Korcula town served delicious lunchtime and evening food but were very expensive with mains at around £25.00 plus and wine around £7.00 a glass. We had opted for half board. The evening buffet was vast with a wide range of salads, hot dishes and desserts including fresh fruit. The salads were good and it was possible to make up a delicious plate of cheeses, meats, egg, salads and all kinds of dressings. The hot dishes - again, about five choices including pasta and pizzas suffered from having been in the bain maries for a long time and were warm and very bland - almost without taste, but again it was possible, by choosing well, to create a good evening meal. The wine prices were beyond a joke. Posip, the local white wine was delicious and only made a few kilometres away in the middle of the island. The hotel charged around £30.00 a bottle! When we were there they didn't have the slightly cheaper alternative. That is not a good price for house wine. All in all though we had a good, if expensive week in a very pleasant hotel. Collapse

The first thing I will say is this hotel has the best view in Korcula. It has been newly renovated and everything was very clean and bright if a bit lacking in character. The rooms were very clean and modern with good bathrooms. One of the best hairdryers I have used in a hotel room. If possible try to get a room with a sea view as we only had a view of the car park. The big plus with this hotel are the staff which were very friendly and helpful at all times. We were bed and breakfast only and found the breakfast quite basic. Everything was self service including the cutlery, napkins cups and plates which meant a lot of walking about during breakfast. The juices was served from a machine and tasted more like diluted cordial rather than pure juices. I had freshly squeezed orange juice from the bar every morning but had to pay extra for this. This could all have been easily improved if they laid the tables with cups and cutlery etc and the staff provided top ups of tea and coffee. The other thing to be aware of is the charge for sun beds on the beach attached to the hotel. This was not made obvious until we found ourselves charged for the first 2 days. Having said all this we had a very pleasant stay and the hotel had grown on us by the end of the holiday. Collapse

We had visited this hotel 4 years ago so knew what to expect. It had though improved on our previous visit, and that had no complaints. Views over the bay from the front of the hotel are lovely, well worth considering the extra cost. Staff are more than helpful and friendly, thanks to all. Food had no complaints, always a wide variety of choice. Perfect peaceful and quiet just in the right spot 10mins walk to the old town. Great holiday and great hotel, kind regards to all Dean & Nina Hodgkinson. Collapse
