There is shuttle bus available but will cause you GBP 5 by cash. I felt comfortable all the way from I got into the hotel to room or even I had the dinner in the restaurant. Clean and nice! The only thin not able to loose one point is that the facility in bathroom is not user friendly. Collapse

We stayed at the Leonardo for two nights at the end of a two week trip to London and Paris. We chose it for its proximity to Heathrow (we had an early morning flight to JFK) ndecided on two nights so we could see Windsor Castle for the day before a morning flight from Heathrow to NY JFK. The lobby area is lively, clean and has a restaurant. We checked in and were given a room in the wing of the hotel reached by walking along a ramp past the restaurant. There is no bell service, so we loaded our bags on a cart. The elevator opened onto our floor and we noticed an unpleasant smell right away... a mix of damp carpeting and septic back up smell. We got to our room, and it had the same smell. We were tired and hoped we would "get used to it," but after an hour we couldnt stand it anymore and called the front desk. We were told we would be moved to another room. Our new room was on the other side of the hotel in a wing that had clearly been recently renovated, new carpeting, much nicer overall. It wasn't a good feeling that we had originally been placed, upon arrival, in a part of the hotel that is clearly having problems. But because I squeaked, they dealt with it quickly and without fuss. Restaurant was convenient, food was mediocre. Glad to have breakfast included. It was varied and ample. We used the taxi service the hotel is partnered with for trip to Windsor Castle and for airport. It was a little more expensive than other companies, but was available immediately when we needed them. 35 pounds to Windsor. 8 to Heathrow. (2 pound surcharge for paying with credit card) Most important tip: request a room in the section of the hotel with elevator directly across from the reception desk. Collapse

This is a decent, clean hotel conveniently close to Heathrow (although one must walk all the way around to locate the entrance!). The woman at reception was quick and efficient. Although my room number started with a 2, it was on the first floor (this would have been good to know for a weary traveller). Other than that, the hotel room was large, clean with a large bathroom containing shampoo, shower gel and lotion. It was a comfortable and quiet room. The hotel is in the free bus zone area and if one has time, this is an option, otherwise there is the hotel poppa for 5 pounds sterling 1 way. Decent hot breakfast with cappuccino was also included. I would stay here again - good value and convenience. Oh and you also get a chocolate upon checkout :-) Collapse

Used this hotel for a one night stay and travelling out next morning to Las Vegas. Check in was uneventful and pretty straightforward. Didn't eat at restaurant as we decided to eat out. Booked into an executive room which was far from executive and rather dated. Room was tired and required a refresh. Was impressed with the soundproofing as it is very close to the runway but very little noise came from the airport or the adjacent road. Beds were very uncomfortable, hard and lumpy. Upon wakening my wife complained that her leg was itchy and sore which upon further examining looked swelled and red and blotchy. I took photos of it as I used my phone with the light to get a closer look and her leg was actually seeping. She complained that it was very warm and very tender to touch. I have seen bed bug bites before at another hotel years ago in Bristol and this was the same. We got ready and packed up to go and get our flight as it was an early morning one. We went down stairs to check out and explained our concerns with reception. The girl there was a little shocked and took us to the side where she took photos also. No further information was provided and as they had our contact details I explained I would be in touch but proceeded to Heathrow. My wife who decided to fly was in pain throughout and once we arrived in Los Angeles we checked into our overnight hotel where I took further photos. We visited a drop in medical centre/store and my wife was given strong medication and cream for her leg. Our holiday was ruined due to the fact that my wife could not walk very far for a few days, could not wear any of her dresses or skirts that she bought due to the unsightly of her legs, money spent on suncream and sunbeds was also wasted. This was to celebrate her birthday and at our expense cost a small fortune which did not provide good memories. We also had my parents with us and this also put a negative feel and although we tried to put right the issue we felt it ruined their holiday also. I contacted the hotel and spoke with their management, who refused to accept that it was bed bugs, I emailed them several times to which they ignored me. I even emailed their worldwide corporate headquarters, their senior management team including their UK director who all ignored me. I have received no communications from anyone at Leonardo which disgusts me. The lack of care or responsibility for their customers is deeply concerning. Please feel free to message me for any further info. Collapse
