We stayed in Le Metropolitan hotel for a 1 night stay during our last stop over in Paris few days before Christmas. We randomly discovered this hotel that apparently joined the SPG program not so long ago. This is how we ended up in this hotel. And what a good surprise! Le Metropolitan is a very cosy boutique hotel that has sleek minimalist design and yet very comfy and warmful. We really loved the materials used in the room such as the wood floor, the built-in wood closet and the amazingly elegant bathroom made of granite rocks. The bath tube is also made of this material. Inside the room you really feel naturally appeased thanks to the usage of natural materials all over the room. We really felt relaxed as the room has an overall natural aesthetic that soothed our mind. The hotel successfully balanced a modern contemporan design and yet kept its old Parisian look & feel with the building external design and the narrow corridors inside the hotel. The hotel is located 2 min by walk to the Trocadero metro station and maybe 10 min to the Eiffel Tower. It's also very convenient to commute within Paris as multiple metro stations are located all around the hotel. The hotel staff was great, very professional and always ready to help. We do recommend the breakfast at their restaurant if you have the chance. The food was really good and so were the croissants too! On the cons side, we've been unfortunate to have our room door opened 2 times in a row by the room attendance staff while we were in the room even though late check out was requested and acknowledged by the front desk at check-in time. To conclude this review, we haven't got the chance to enjoy their indoor swimming pool and spa area. However we won't miss it for our next visit! Collapse

This Starwood property is one of the best stays I've had in Paris. The rooms, though on the small side, were really comfortable, with great bathrooms. The connecting rooms were great for our family of five. The hotel staff could not have been nicer, particularly Jordi on the front desk team. The location is quiet, adjoining a nice plaza. We had a short but very enjoyable stay. Collapse

Pro: This was my favourite hotel while I was visiting Paris. The hotel is stunning. The location is great. I enjoy long walks so I was able to walk to many of the attractions around Paris. The hotel is also close to a grocery store, so one evening I bought cheese, pate and a baguette, and I had a small little meal in my room with a French movie. The basement had a small relaxing pool with a steam room, and every evening after a long day of walking, I'd relax in the pool and steam room while the hotel also played music. The staff were very helpful to provide assistance with booking tours and printing out my tickets and providing advice. Con: I can't think of anything that wasn't didn't go well during my stay at Le Metropolitan. Overall: I'd stay at Le Metropolitan with every Paris trip. Collapse

Just under €1000 for 2 nights in a suite in December 2015 less than 2 weeks after the tragic attack that took place in Paris seemed a little pricey... till I saw my room. I visited Paris with my girlfriend at the time. We had done a lot of research and found that the cost of taxis and other transport is not so cheap and we really wanted to stay someone central and close to the tower, and little did we know we could see it from our room. The bed was absurdly huge. I could easily roll over 4 times and not fall out and it was like sleeping on a cloud. It's the nicest bed I've slept on to date. The room was spacious with a closet space away from the bed and a sitting area with a large sofa and an arm chair beautifully placed around double doors that opened onto a small balcony that allowed us to see the tower. The bathroom was bigger than my bedroom back home. The bath was about 2" wide 6"+ long and 2" deep. Could easily fit two adults and the shower could easily fit 5+ adults if that's what you're into. The hotel is located absolutely perfectly with fresh bakeries and grocery stores very near if you'd like to pick up your own bits. The tower is less and 5 minutes from the front door. The Champs-Élysées is only a short 10/15 minute walk from there, and if you like walking Norte Dame and the louvree are about a half hour 40 minute walk. With lots of beautiful architecture, bridges and shop fronts to keep your mind occupied while walking. The city is the most beautiful city I've yet to visit and this beautiful hotel made my experience all the better. And before I sign this off the staff of the hotel and the food was literally like being treated like royalty. It's always Monsieur and Madame and the lovely waiter in the restaurant always had an infectious smile and was very grateful when we tipped. I would highly recommend this hotel. If you're planning a trip to Paris. Push the dates back a little and save up to stay here. It's worth every penny. Remember adventure is right around the corner. Damien. Collapse
