We stayed at Las Velas the middle 2 weeks in August and had a fabulous time. On arrival, to our delight, we were allocated a top floor apartment with its own private roof terrace. It was amazing and our own little peace of heaven. It had 2 sunbeds, parasol, table and 6 chairs and a built in bbq and was accessible from via a spiral staircase on our lovely balcony, which also included and table and 4 chairs. The apartments have recently been refurbished and were clean and bright. We had 2 bedrooms, one double and one with 2 singles. The kitchen is small but was well equipped, including 4 ring hob, combination microwave/grill, fridge freezer, toaster, kettle, ironing board and an iron. There was a large flat screen TV in the living area, a sofa and chair. The beds are the most comfortable I have ever slept in on holiday and it was so quiet at night, we slept like babies. The complex is a lovely size and had two pools, we only visited the pool once because we were so spoilt with our roof terrace. The apartments are situated at the opposite end of the resort to the Pine Walks and we enjoyed the 20 minute or so stroll into the main part of Port de Pollenca. You just need to cross over the road in front of the apartments and walk past the Pollenca Park hotel, there are a number of bars, restaurants and supermarkets close by, and then you reach the beach (5 minutes away) and can walk along the prom. This was our 3rd visit to Port de Pollenca and was my favourite accommodation. There are great bus routes just outside to Pollenca, Palma, Alcudia etc so it is easy to get around. The reception staff Xisco and Antonia are a credit to the Cabot Hotel Group. They are welcoming, knowledgeable and nothing is too much trouble. There is only wifi in the reception area, but was ideal for my teenage son, and got him out of the room!! There was a comfortable seating area in there and it was very popular. Would definitely visit again, excellent. Collapse

We came here in July 2017 and stayed for two weeks. We had a great stay! The place was perfect for us. It had two pools - one quieter than the other - with a fair amount of sun beds around. We had a two bedroomed apartment and, after two days, managed to arrange to change to one of their rooms which had the sun-terrace (a spiral staircase leading up to the sun terrace, which had a table, six chairs, two sun loungers and a built-in BBQ, which we used twice!). This was room number 17 and we could even see the sea! The staff were really friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Always really helpful, with advice on buses and where to visit. It is quite a small complex, with about 23 apartments but had a really nice feel to it. It has a pool table and a bar in the reception area, serving drinks and snacks until midnight. It is about 15 minutes to the beach, which is on the main street leading down to the harbour. Loads of places to eat and a lovely, clean beach. All in all, definitely a great place to stay. Collapse

I stayed at the Las Velas apartments for 7 days in the middle of July this year. The complex is beautiful, quiet and very clean. It is suitable for any ages. They supply a play park, two swimming pools for both families and adults and it is also only a short walk from the beach. The apartments were tidy and well looked after when we first arrived, and the free shower gel and shampoo came in handy due to the fact that I had not brought enough with me for the duration of that trip. The staff were very kind, and helpful whatever time of day and always seemed so happy and welcoming towards their customers. I fell into a little trouble during my holiday and pull a muscle in my knee and after talking to the night staff, they kindly hired some crutches for me for the next day so my holiday would be a less painful one. The reception at the apartments have plenty of seating area, a pool table and they also sell drinks, both alcoholic and soft, crisps, ice lollies/creams and they also offer a rent a car service through the apartment as well. The complex is well decorated with flowers, trees and greenery which brightens up the place. Although, the lack of disability access was quite poor. An example of this was that the only way I could reach my apartment was up a flight of stairs which caused a problem when I had my crutches. They also have a step or two to get into buildings and they don't have disability access for the children's pool but they do for the adults pool. Overall, the Las Velas apartments and the complex are well maintained, clean, and have lovely staff but the place they lack the most in is the accessibility for the disabled. Collapse

We have been here many times and really like the location and the apts, they are clean and spacious. On our recent stay (June 17) we had booked a one bedroom but were "upgraded" to a two bed, great I thought, however this was on the ground floor and the terrace was not in the least private! People going past all the time. This could easily resolved by placing some sort of screen in front of the terrace. Another change would be the addition of extra crockery this was insufficient for a 2 bed apt. Otherwise these apts are very good indeed, the staff are wonderful particularly Antonia and Xisco, nothing was too much trouble for them, we will definitely be back Collapse
Another great stay

Had a lovely long stay in June. Apartments have been modernised and are very comfortable. Antonia and Xisco were as ever so friendly and helpful. Already booked again for next year. Can't wait. Brian & Pam UK
